Jamf pro just works and makes deployment for MacOS and iOS a joy.
What do you dislike about the product?
You will stay busy because you make life with Mac so wonderful everyone wants it!!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a healthcare environment being able to quickly deploy and secure devices where patient info is gone after they use it.

What do you like best about the product?
Have too many to single one out, but in automation of Jamf will free my time to tackle bigger projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see more support for AutoPKG.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
General compliance/patch management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sure there's other MDMs, but not as comprehensive as JAMF. Ultimately you can find answers you need from the community or from Jamf support. Which might not be true with other solutions.

Jamf is the Stuff!

  • October 08, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to remotely install apps.
Being able to brick computers for noncompliance
Because we have a lot of students that decide not to send their laptops back to u, the locking of computers is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
That Jamf does not have a remote desktop program, yet. Although, while here at JNUC, we received notification that might be soon in the very near future. Thank will make our support for students a lot easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lost iPads. Clearing passcodes. Deploying new apps. Creating and deploying profiles and configuration profiles remotely. Also, being able to use Self Service and allow users to install items with admin rights.

Powerful Management at Your Fingertips

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is very organized and that helps me stay structured as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides can be found in all software, given my experience in working with Jamf Pro for 3+ years now, I don't really have much to say about its downside. If I was forced to pick a downside I would say, composer can be hard to understand. I would like to see more training documentation or videos around packaging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We push applications, OS upgrades, config profiles, set homepages etc. You name it and we do it with Jamf Pro.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend this software.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to push apps and profiles to all or some ipads. This would be very time consuming if we had to touch each ipad.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the parts apple won't allow us to change or restrict
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit is the time savings we realize. The biggest problem we have solved is complying with the CIPA.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Organization is important from the start.

Mac Admin's Little Helper

  • October 08, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to reach out to all the Mac's I support and give the user zero touch support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once something is declared a "bug", it's like JAMF support's get out of jail free card.
With no known ETA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stopping people from upgrading the OS until all apps are completely vetted.
Passing certificates to all users to connect to our network. Keeping the OS and select applications up to date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not treat this like SCCM or any other non-MAC admin tool. JAMF is best used out of the box, modify sparingly.

    Government Administration

What do you like best about the product?
Extremely versatile yet simple and focused.
What do you dislike about the product?
The latest upgrade including MySQL and Java was problematic with a lack of detailed instructions (specifically for MySQL).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mac baseline configuration enforcement.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Review Jamf Pro against it's competitors and you'll find it's the most robust and focused solution for Mac management.

What do you like best about the product?
I can easily push out software or updates to all the computers in my org quickly, as well as quickly get info on everything. It’s very intuitive as well, I’m relatively new to Jamf but was able to pick it up quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main dislike (Not really Jamf’s fault) is when anything has to be pushed, like a config profile, there’s not really a way to see the status, it’s just completed or done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to quickly push out updates, and also easily allow updates on a user schedule using deferments, so we can do updates without getting in the user’s way too much.

It is a very essential tool to use to administer macs, software deployments and OS upgrades.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to push out zero day updates to the computers in my environment. I also like writing scripts to be run with the updates to get the update just the way i like it. I just got Code 42 to work in our environment! I'm so excited!!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is some of the platform isn't very intuitive. Like to look at inventory you have to click many times to get the results you want to look at and some of the tabs aren't where you would expect them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to deploy a white listed piece of software and then not realizing i need to upgrade their os in order for it to work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great addition to our administrative management of our mac computers.

What do you like best about the product?
The product is super intuitive. Processes are easy to create and deploy and same os to be said about creating smart and static groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Each new release is a learning curve. Sometimes Global settings options are rearranged and it takes a minute to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lab mgmt, software pushes and patching, fleet compliance
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it, theyre the best solution on the market.
