Literally the only thing that makes administrating an OSx install base bearable.

What do you like best about the product?
Policy/profile authoring and scoping are easy and intuitive. Settings decently parallel their layout in the OS itself. Extension attributes and scripting mean you can accomplish pretty much anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a number of limitiations and idiosyncrasies due to the way Apple allows remote management that end up with clunky hacky solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have actual control over remote mac users equipment...we can manage patching and security, have accurate inventory for the first time and its great :)

What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud distribution point has many problems, especially trying to upload packages to it

Quick imaging, utilizing Self Service to cut down on service desk tickets. Automation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is the best option for managing Apple devices. No other product really comes close to it.

What do you like best about the product?
Can manage iPads and computers without even touching them or seeing them. What a time saver!!
What do you dislike about the product?
Glitches and things freezing..When we push apps out to iPads, it tends to freeze a lot and we have to send a blank push to each individual device, or update the Vpp A count apps and it seems to go after that. Is starting to get frustrating though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time saver. When things are working smoothly, we can push out several app to a lot of iPads efficiently and effectively.

JAMF Pro Review

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to manage our systems without worrying about the little things. With some minor settings and making some minimum configurations, we were able to quickly get a whole view of our environment. This allowed us to target our resources on what we wanted to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only dislike would be the amount of documentation provided for how to complete some of the work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patching and Maintenance of our systems. We have a more secure mac environment now that we can fully understand what is out there and are able to quickly make changes as needed. We can push OS and Application packages as soon as they are available, and Jamf Pro has allowed us quickly identify problem areas in some of our enterprise configurations
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it now. If you manage any number of Mac's, from a small business to a large enterprise, you should be using this product.

Above & Beyond

What do you like best about the product?
We do not hesitate to tell anyone how happy we are to have JAMF Pro as our choice MDM system. This isn't to say that our technology doesn't occasionally have it's issues, but the ability to create smoothe workflows makes our job a lot easier and less time is spent touching devices. Thank you Jamf!
What do you dislike about the product?
Because you are growing, we sometimes see more delays in tech support. But still much better than past experiences with other MDM's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seamless learning environment in terms of box to student's hand. We have had JAMF help us write certificates and policies and integrated AD to auto assign apps and clips after logging in as a specific user.

I’d be lost without jamf!

What do you like best about the product?
I can manage all of our 1:1 iPads, and all of our Mac OS inventory with little it staff. This tool makes it possible to do everything you need to do to keep on top of everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the last renewal we had, was priced a bit high, and we almost couldn’t get the contract signed. Not having access to this tool would decimate our education program. Fortunately they worked with us and we negotiated a fair increase and migrated to jamf cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to manage over 6,800 iPads and over 2,500 macs with little staff. I can add software and necessary restrictions on the fly and can even make changes from my phone. I can assist in finding a lost device and lock them down when wrongly removed from the building.

What do you like best about the product?
Fast and easy to use and learn along with the way that they taught you how to use it when you first get it
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation has a hash learning curve but once you get it. It makes sense
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adding macs to our environment in general was the thing that we where looking for something that we could use with sccm
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just do it as they are doing the best that anyone can do for the Mac and that is aw

Only Way To Go

What do you like best about the product?
The incredible ease of use when paired with DEP to image both iOS and MacOS devices is unrivaled.
Also, the flexibility to completely restrict and manage both device types from anywhere saves a lot of time and money for remote workers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more outside integrations built into the platform. The ability to have a single pane of glass view is important; the new deal with Microsoft brings that a bit IF you are using Intune also.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf allows us to put in place real device restrictions as well as keep tabs on any device that may go AWOL from anywhere. This level of agility cannot be found in another platform without some clumsy and often unnecessary sand boxing of apps that can cause other compatibility issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go Hosted! The level of effort required to maintain the tenant is literally zero; I get an email about once a month that it will be unavailable for a very small, convenient, and FLEXIBLE maintenance window and that is it.
