Jamf works as it is advertised
What do you like best about the product?
I like that jamf keeps me from going to each device individually. I can run updates quickly. Support is always helpful. The certification courses and online resources are beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf pro is one of the more expensive products on the market. Switching from JAMF Pro to JAMF school is difficult because I need to connect my ASM to two servers. I also wish there was a way to make multiple local accounts on the device in JAMF or a version or a more cost-effective version of JAMF Connect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the summer, it would take me forever to update computers. Now I have made a policy that quickly installs the DMG file. I also use JAMF to run scripts that lock down student devices.
Great management tool for Apple devices
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf works great when it comes to handling and managing all Apple devices. Whether it's a Mac, iPad, or iPhone, you have the ability to control and administer policy commands, patch updates, and locking/wiping of devices. Would highly recommend it! Plus, you can get certified as well with the MDM and the courses are free to take.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike I have with Jamf is its customer service. Though support reaches out initially in a timely manner, when it comes to follow-ups or repairs, the initial fixes feel more like band-aids than actual repairs. When the issue is escalated, the next team handles the issues phenomenally and follows up and keeps you up-to-date with what's happening or causing your tech issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patch management when it comes to updating macOS, iOS, or apps that are for Apple products.
Nice bird's eye view
What do you like best about the product?
it allows me to get a sense overall of what is happening with a device and push software as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
not much. the annual recertification for certificates of apple, etc. just something that doesn't happen that often so it is a to do
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the ability to push software and configurations is huge. the added device level security is nice as well.
MacOS System Administrator who actively uses Jamf Pro professionally every day.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can manage a massive fleet of devices across several models for our district. I like the ability to manage scripts and packages for software and view computer records for hardware information inside of Jamf.
What do you dislike about the product?
They constantly are updating the software so while new things are good, they actively will deprecate functions of Jamf so you will need to upgrade the way you do things. I also feel like they have different features between different Jamf apps that should be ported over to Jamf Pro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to manage all of our fleet of devices smoothly. Allows us to manage applications for computers and iOS apps for iPads and iPhones. Gives lots of power to admins remotely for devices on and off campus.
Jamf Pro ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is very easy to navigate and apply changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only issue we've had is sometime items do not always apply in a timely manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use JAMF Pro for an MDM management system, this is a time saver as apps can be pushed out in mass instead of having to touch each device individually. It also allows for tracking and data management.
Extensive support, documentation, and community
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is deeply committed to the platform and 0-day support for Apple's stream of new features. Support is fast, responsive when needed, and backed by extensive documentation and a robust community.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the constant stream of new features, updates and cleanup of older features seem to fall behind. Server patches are released regularly, almost requiring the Jamf Cloud product to maintain your sanity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring security standards are applied to all devices consistently. Providing tools and features to help reduce calls to the service desk.
Excellent Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
When I have an issue, there is always a well experienced team ready to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some parts of the GUI aren't very user friendly and can take awhile to learn how to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF Pro solve my needs when managing devices remotely.
Best in class for Apple Mac OS management and deployment.
What do you like best about the product?
Powerfull Apple Mac OS administration and management. Makes security and provisioning a snap, and allows for great flexibility. Rock solid backend, resasonable pricing, and massive amount of documentation and help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deploying App store apps can be a little clunky, and installation of apps can be tricky, especially the Apple office style apps such a Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf PRO solves Apple Mac administration with robust security and integration with our Help Desk and the security features of Mac OS. For iOS, we are switching from Workspace ONE to Jamf this summer, and hile the switch will be a lot of work, we are excited for the change.

What do you dislike about the product?
One potential downside of Wandera is that it is a per-device subscription-based service, most businesses will have multi devices per user including BYODs. This should improve with Wandera's acquisition by Jamf

Life is a breeze with Jamf pro device management
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro's smart groups feature is a powerful tool for managing devices within an organization. With smart groups, administrators can create dynamic groups based on a variety of criteria, such as device attributes, enrollment status, and installed applications.
One of the key benefits of smart groups is their ability to automatically update based on changes to device attributes or enrollment status. This means that administrators can set up rules for device management and trust that the devices in the group will always meet those criteria.
In addition, the criteria for smart groups can be highly specific, allowing administrators to create groups that target very specific devices or situations. For example, a smart group could be created to identify all devices that are currently offline, or all devices that have a certain software version installed.
The interface for creating and managing smart groups in Jamf Pro is intuitive and easy to use, and the ability to preview the devices that will be included in a group before it is created is a helpful feature. The ability to use smart groups in conjunction with other Jamf Pro features, such as policies and configuration profiles, makes them an even more valuable tool for device management.
Overall, the smart groups feature in Jamf Pro is a highly effective way to manage devices in an organization. Its flexibility and automation capabilities make it a must-have tool for any organization that wants to ensure that their devices are properly managed and secured.

What do you dislike about the product?
Complexity: Jamf Pro can be quite complex, especially for organizations that are new to mobile device management. The learning curve can be steep, and it may take some time for administrators to become comfortable with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deploying apps to multiple devices can be time-consuming and error-prone. Jamf Pro's App Catalog streamlines this process, making it easy to install and update apps across multiple devices with just a few clicks.
