Jamf
What do you like best about the product?
Solid solution to an increasingly complex issue
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex UI that is grey on grey, features not very discoverable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a large number of remote computers with zero touch
Great Centralised Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to ensure that most of our settings can be set with minimal interaction before devices have arrived with pre-stages. Also, the ability to customise Mac app preferences directly without being bound to predefined software titles has been crucial for our deployment
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are some issues with heavier configuration profiles and they've had to be rebuilt from scratch, but this is rare and in 3 years has only happened twice
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a relatively small but growing Mac estate, and Jamf provides much tighter integration with the OS versus comparable products, so we can give every user the same standard experience with minimal configuration from them
The de-facto Mac Management solution!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro simplifies management of our Macs, the UI is so easy to navigate and it is rich in features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Standard Support could be a bit more responsive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onboarding and enrollment is so much easier with Jamf
Fully featured macOS management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Day-1 support for new macOS releases which ensures that we can deploy early.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some legacy features are a bit clunky and need to be updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deploying configuration settings and software to macOS devices.
JAMF changed everything
What do you like best about the product?
There is more to like about JAMF as time goes on, but for me, the ease of onboarding, deployment of security and device profiles is the real game-changer. To be able to deploy all the required settings in one go is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that could be improved on. Although I appreciate that JAMF can't work magic. Updating is still a little clunky and it's not always easy to achieve what you need if you're not a coding whizz.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF solves the issue of a small team managing several hundred Mac's. It speeds up onboarding, simplifies deployment and provides info on who has what and how it's all working.
The default product for Apple management
What do you like best about the product?
A single pane of glass that is exclusively targeted at supporting Apple devices. It stays ahead of the competition in developments: as the devices changes, so does it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The strength of Apple exclusivity is also a weakness, as companies have to look at other tools to manage their entire device ecosystem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zero touch mac deployment and ongoing managememt.
There's a financial and time benefit as devices can be sent direct to the users without interim IT support intervention.

Excellent MDM for apple based mobile devices
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to get started. Clear definition between Computers and Mobile Devices. Easy configuration of devices and integrations with the likes of PPPC utility helps you deploy configuration and applications very quickly to devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Patch Management is OK if Jamf knows your product. There is work on going to make this better, but ultimately you need a 3rd party Vulnerability Management tool to understand your patching needs. One area it is let down in is in reporting -> that is how well policy or configuration deployed, what errors were encountered. You often have to go hunting around within a policy to understand that it failed. So the tool is much more policy than operational if that makes sense?!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control of devices, application addition/removal from devices, some automated patching, configuration of devices to best practice standard, applying restrictions to devices to meet security standards. Mostly it saves time and provides consistency!
Proper Apple Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of management and configuration and integration with Apple School Manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the GUI could be improved to make functions easier to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Giving us visibility, security and management of our Apple devices.
Don't Use a Hammer (MS intune) when you need a Screwdriver ( Jamf Pro )
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to produce custom scripts and use smart groups to deploy scrips, apps, and configurations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf Connect not being able to read Azure Global Password Policy expiration dates and notify users.
