Best of Class Apple Device Management Solution

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Jamf is keenly focused on the Apple platform, making them the golden standard for Apple device management in the enterprise. I love the cohesive and supportive Jamf Nation community and all the integrations available to Jamf. Having used pretty much all the popular MDMs, from experience, Jamf is the golden standard for Mac management.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing to dislike, but I wish there was a simpler way to send a delete configuration profile command to a single device similar to Workspace ONE/AirWatch where you could delete a specific config profile from the device view and then re-push it out again for troubleshooting rather than having to edit the profile's scope which could potentially affect all users for some junior admins, not much of an issue with right account permissions, but one thing I would love to see implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing Macs and empowering Mac users with the Jamf Self Service is phenomenal and helps reduce support incidents and empowers users.

All the tools you need - and more

What do you like best about the product?
It's the whole package: Take the Jamf200, using Jamf Pro and when there are questions just head over to Jamf nation. You WILL get an answer for your problems. And if not there, you can send a short message to customersuccess@jamf.com and the will do literally everything to help you.
When I came to this job more than two years ago, I had no clue about jamf. Actually at that time it has been still the "Casper Suite" version 9.101, because the missed many updates in the company. And it was a mess by the way.
Since then I already felt the power of jamf, though I had no lesson, just the learning from my predecessor.
Then I took the Jamf200 and had an Upgrade and 18 updates to the then latest 10.18 version. I unleashed its power by cleaning it up, freeing it from some 50+ policies, Gigabytes of depricated or old software and freshed it all up. (Thanks to my colleague Hannes Gnad from Apfelwerk for some serious work)
Today it's running smoothly, alle  users are glad to have it.
Plans in the future are to push it further, have it more interactive for the users and perhaps build some little fun in it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still having problems with the config profiles, though I am not sure if it is me or the Jamf Pro. One major problem I had was the renewal of the SCEP policy which deleted the WiFi access on all devices, but missed to put it on again - because to get the new .mobileconfig file, you had to be within the network... (the hen and egg problem, you know!?).
We fixed it by connecting LAN by cable and the Profile was deployed again, but it still annoys me. I'll get this fixed soon by changing the servers environment...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SCEP profiles, Wallpaper updates to fit Corporate Identity, deploying Apps w/ and w/o VPP as we do with Printers per Room, providing user information of business critical information like Exchange downtime, network problems, etc.

Easy to Deploy to a client Apple Device!

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Jamf Pro in almost a year and it makes our lives more easier in managing 450 plus Apple devices mostly iMacs. From PreStage Enrollment where required MDM, software and policies are auto applied; to Deploying new softwares and tailored policies for a group. It is amazing how it's easy to do all these by just enrolling the client device to the Jamf Pro.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently doesn't support Arcsight for log management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing remote devices especially this pandemic, where most of the people work from home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go get Jamf Pro!

What do you like best about the product?
It's so nice to be able to achieve what I want with a very user-friendly UI that's easy to understand!
What do you dislike about the product?
I hope the Intune integration is more stable.
It may be a problem on the Intune side, but I think the repeated login pop-up windows on the Mac side are lowering the user experience!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replaced antivirus software without making the user aware of it.
I saw an advantage in that there were no user inquiries.

What do you like best about the product?
The Self Service experience Jamf Pro provides our college is game changing. The ability for our students and staff to install any of our applications from anywhere in the world is brilliant especially useful during remote learning. We can easily provision new software and apps for our students and staff to install through Self Service at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of native intergration with Jamf Connect

Enabling Apple in Education

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro combined with Apple Classroom has changed iPads from being a distraction in the classroom into an irreplaceable tool for teaching and learning. It is extremely powerful and scalable for large numbers of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike about Jamf. New features are being added all the time so by the time we feel like some functionality is missing it is usually available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One problem that would cause a lot of lost time for our team was the activation lock on staff devices. The ability to disable this or clear an existing activation lock on our DEP enrolled devices has sped up our onboarding and exit processes. It allows us to quickly turn around devices to new staff members or students without a long line of communication or a trip to Apple with proof of purchase to get activation lock cleared.

Staff and Students often seem to set and forget their passcodes, especially with the introduction of biometrics to unlock a device. Jamf's clear passcode command is a lifesaver for a school with over 1200 mobile devices deployed.

A revolutionary product for Apple device management

What do you like best about the product?
With Jamf, the possibilities are endless. I can't count the number of times their product has saved me from hours of manual labor. Whether I'm generating reports, deploying applications, running scripts, building complex profiles, you name it - Jamf Pro has streamlined and simplified the process so that I can use my time more effectively and focus on more important tasks. Sure, there are competitors out there, but I have yet to see a management tool as comprehensive as Jamf Pro. Not only have I discovered new ways to improve my company's workflows, but the educational content and training resources provided are invaluable and absolutely essential for any Apple admin.
What do you dislike about the product?
The patch management functionality could be restructured and further integrated with existing solutions. However, other major features, including policies, profiles, automated enrollment, and reporting, are clean and detailed. The recent configuration profile redesign initiative is the perfect example, and I have faith that Jamf can and will do the same for patching. And of course, implementation of some of the top feature requests (a retry button for failed configuration profiles and Self Service icon management, in particular) couldn't hurt!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned earlier, automation is the primary benefit. It has led to a significant reduction in manual tasks and improved my ability to provision and manage devices. My job is easier, and my users receive what they need to do their jobs effectively as well.

What do you like best about the product?
From managing over 200 Macs by myself to running an instance with multiple sites each managing hundreds of Macs, Jamf Pro is the absolute best solution. It integrates well with other tools and the zero day support is a lifesaver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being able to grant more control to site admins while still keeping them contained and managed within the central instance would be the one thing that would make it more usable for our company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of inventory has never been easier, and with the enterprise management using DEP with Jamf Connect, we've been able to solve major support issues and meet security compliance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of the training. It's worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's accessible anywhere with the cloud-based setup. I also like that support is always available and very patient. Jamf community is by far one of the best communities I've been part of. They're very helpful and offer a lot of information. Jamf has all types of resources the get a new user acclimated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any major complaints about Jamf. I only hope to be able to schedule patch management to us. I would like to be able to patch applications after hours without giving up my nights and weekends off the clock.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf really came to my rescue when Apple "killed" their imaging services. At my organization, I felt like I was at the end of my rope without a way to update our Mac devices without having to physically touch them. After extensive Google searches and YouTube videos, I was very pleased with what Jamf had to offer. I like being able to push OS and application updates from my office or on "staycation". I'm excited to really get into it and use Jamf to it's fullest potential to take a heavy burden off of our small staff.
