From Timbuktu to Mac Pro to vCenter

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro let us move to the platforms we needed. At first, we were using software on workstations to support other workstations, which was a mess. Partnering with Apple, we picked JAMF and installed the Casper Suite on Mac Pros. When it came time to retire that hardware, we had no problem setting up Jamf Pro on our Windows virtual servers in a vCenter environment. If we ever retire that, there's always the cloud!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I haven't been able to use more of their products, but we are an admittedly small Apple house, with a few hundred Macs and another few hundred iPads. If they work as slick as Jamf Pro, I'm missing out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro gives us the ability to manage policies and configuration profiles for all of our Macs and iPads, which is light years better than the bad old days of everyone having admin rights. Our ability to manage remotely and deploy software keeps the "pain" of not having administrative rights at bay, and very few of our clients even ask for it any more. More than that, I've been able to leverage my existing scripting skills to do things that aren't directly related to profiles, giving me even more control of the computers in our environment.

What do you like best about the product?
- Remote support for all Apple devices
- Ability to secure MacOS and iOS devices
- Amazing support if issues arise
What do you dislike about the product?
We have only been using the application for the last year, so it has been an overall great product. We haven't had any issues that couldn't be solved by their support team (most of our issues were my team not knowing how to complete a task).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team has been able to revolutionize our setups and support for Apple devices. Through the use of this management software, my team is excited to see what all Jamf has to offer in order to streamline our overall support to our Apple staff and faculty members.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to cut down on the time spent preparing/supporting an Apple product in your current fleet, then I'd highly consider Jamf as an option. Our setup time has decreased easy by 50% and our time spent supporting users has dropped because of how Jamf allows my team to provide tools to troubleshoot themselves.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf makes it easy for us to support our growing staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
One feature I would love to see is remote screen sharing over vpn within Jamf.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote support for staff from Toronto to Orlando and the easiest onboarding flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it! There is so much you can do with it. The automation of deployments is my favorite!

Zero touch mac environment management

What do you like best about the product?
Manage mass number of apple products (Macs, iPad, iPhone) from one single point. It was amazing to deploy security patches, application packages, restrict device features, etc. from one single point. Helps a lot to control device inventory and determine device life.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still learning the software. A lot to learn and implement. It's too early for me to mention any disliking point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inventory control, package distribution, epo update, OS x update, apps update, restrict device features, etc. Centralized management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend mac admins to try Jamf Pro.

JAMF Pro

What do you like best about the product?
JAMF has allowed my company go from 7 to over 500 Mac's in less than 3 years, w/o increasing support personel.
What do you dislike about the product?
JAMF can be a little buggy at times and when you report it, if it's been reported, they put you on the list and it goes into a black hole (or seems like a black hole).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are rolling out Mac with little to no tech support. Users can be self sufficient and through Self Service, in most cases, solve the problem themselves.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is a GREAT partner, the people (the Jamfs) are the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
rapid expansion sometimes slows support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote support/deployment. Management, fleet maintenance, reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Phone, chat, text, email, your support people. The "tier 1" folks are good, and route you quickly if you tell them what the problem is.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf pro continues to be the gold standard in mac management, the features are powerful and flexible, The API makes the tool endlessly useful and can be used as a platform for things over and above mac management. The support team are friendly and knowledgeable and out acocunt team is always on hand should we need them.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything to dislike, a few features would be nice but thats to be expected from any product. Jamf is what you make it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team manage a large fleet of macs and this has been key in our end to end asset lifecycle management, we have built other tools on top of and around jamf to allow our users and support teams to benefit form jamf, give us right data and insights in to behaviors of user and devices.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to create groups, smart and static to scope policies and apps to. Granularity that we didn't have before
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I dislike is that there isn't enough granularity over the config profiles; often changing one setting changes several others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We no longer have to image machines individually, but can create enrollment profiles. The time saving is immense.
