Apptus is simple to use with a clean interface
What do you like best about the product?
It's user friendly and has all products nicely organized so users know where to find them, it calculates pricing for you, and integrates with Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps it's my internet, but sometimes it seems to load the next screen slowly. Or if you click on products too quickly before the previous product saved, you may get an "Undefined Error."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptus is how we quickly and easily select and price out products for our proposals - it's easy to use - and gets the job done. Love being able to edit several times before I'm ready to "finalize."
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Apptus is simple to use, it's configurable to your own organization and the products you sell, it has a simple interface.

Apttus Review
What do you like best about the product?
I think apptus is a pretty good product for quote configuration and contracting. I think it is easy to use for product configuration, following set configuration rules, discounting, and approval workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be a good amount of times when we experience some issues with some of the skus not loading properly in Apptus. This could be an internal problem, but it happens too frequently for it to be likely. Overall there could be a few steps skipped or standardized to eliminate the time it takes to configure a product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apttus allows product and quote configuration, pricing, and discounting for our clients agreements.

What do you like best about the product?
Their angular interface is modern looking, but not really modifiable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not intuitive, it's hard to set up, it's expensive, it's not user friendly, and I don't find that it is a scalable solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting quotes generated and into Salesforce and then pushed to Oracle. But I wouldn't say we "realized them" so much as "Forced it to work."
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't buy it. It's hard to install, it's expensive over the long term, and their sales support is not really that helpful.
Has a lot of features but difficult to customize to match our needs
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful features such as contract lifecycle management. Email responses to get approvals works perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
Salesforce limitations impact full automation of the contract lifecycle process. Adoption of Apptus requires a lot of handholding and further customization of an initial implementation. Hence, be mindful of bearing additional costs on making this tool robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contract lifecycle automation through enabling workflows
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared for a journey while implementing Apttus. Good preparation on To-be state helps...

Once i learned how to use Apptus CPQ i didn't need to rely on sales operations to get an approved quote for a customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels clunky and hangs, but that may have more to do with our network bandwidth at times

i don't really know the other tools out there as i've only had experience with this CPQ, but BMC typically chooses the best of breed tools for their employees so I have to imagine this is a high class solution that won't get you fired for implementing!
