Amplitude Unifies Analytics and Session Replay for Faster Funnel Debugging
Reviewed on Jun 05, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is how Amplitude brings product analytics and Session Replay together in one place. We track complex quote and bind funnels across web and mobile, and being able to jump from a drop-off in a chart straight into a replay of what the user experienced makes debugging and prioritization much faster than digging through logs alone.
What do you dislike about the product?
When event properties aren’t structured consistently across client and server, cross-platform funnels can fail silently—you see drop-offs without an obvious reason until someone audits the payload shape. That’s less an Amplitude flaw than a consequence of how much control you have, but it’s the kind of downside that bites growing teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude solves the problem of not knowing what users actually do in our product. We can track key business events, build funnels, and spot abandonment early. That benefits us by shortening the loop from “something feels broken” to “here’s where and why”—so we fix the right issues and improve conversion with evidence behind every change.

Customizable Insights, Challenging Onboarding
Reviewed on Jun 04, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable Amplitude Analytics is. It's very easy to make very detailed funnels, charts, and dashboards. It's really valuable because you get visualizations of the data, which makes it very easy to analyze where peak performance is and where performance is lacking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Onboarding is particularly challenging. I found a very harsh learning curve when I was starting out with it. Had to lean a lot on colleagues to teach me how to do it or to use the distinct variables that we use in our account. It used to be quite geared towards product teams, and there are still some elements of that in the product as it stands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics helps us measure marketing campaign successes and opportunities for improvement. It provides customizable visualizations, making it easy to analyze performance peaks and gaps.

Powerful Analytics with a Steep Learning Curve
Reviewed on Jun 04, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I find the analytics and data governance in Amplitude Analytics significantly more powerful than what we had before. The features of definable events, groups, and the power of reports give us the ability to answer every complex business question we throw at the data. We've been able to spin up dashboards for our OKRs that give leaders fast insights into the weekly and monthly changes to our user base, allowing them to better understand the reaction of end users to product changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is large and complex. There are sometimes where I have to help staff build reports or make custom defined events to cater to specific needs. So the strength of complexity comes with the learning curve to accomplish what it is you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to capture usage data, push in-app communications, and gain insights into user behavior. It enhances our analytics and data governance, solving reporting needs and complex business questions. It helps ensure renewals by alerting us to customer issues through adoption rate insights.

AI-Driven Insights, But Setup Challenges
Reviewed on Jun 04, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like the new AI chat feature in Amplitude Analytics. It's pretty remarkable because you can just ask the chats what you're looking for, and it automatically gives you an answer. This means I don't have to create a dashboard for tasks like user reviews or getting summaries for a proof of concept; I can just ask the chat to provide me with a list of events and get the granularity I want for the results. This feature really streamlines my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm frustrated with the AI chat sometimes when I ask for updated results and it says there are no more events in the past time period, even though I know there have been. I have to contradict the AI agent before it finds the answer. Also, the initial setup of Amplitude Analytics was not the easiest. We had a lot of issues related to data cohorts. Although it might be related to our data warehouse, the setup felt difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to measure and review engagement success of new features through conversion funnels. The AI chat feature helps save time by providing answers without creating dashboards.

I like the ease of use and how easy it is to understand the usage rates. The initial setup of Amplitude Analytics was very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the platform appears a bit complex and there's sometimes too many options. On the side bar, there's a significant number of options.

I use Amplitude Analytics to track customer usage and sort various metrics for user retention.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were easier ways to create dashboards and user journeys. Maybe one prompt of AI can create dashboards. That would be very helpful.

I use Amplitude Analytics for analyzing user behavior on Android and iOS, and the dashboard quickly reflects changes, helping me make quick decisions on product and user behavior.

Great for tracking conversion funnels and user drop-offs
Reviewed on Jun 03, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude makes it incredibly easy to build conversion funnels and track exactly where users drop off even up to the granular level. The user segmentation is highly powerful for tracking real-time feature adoption without writing heavy SQL queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the pricing gets scary pretty fast. Once your project starts growing and you pass the free monthly event limits, the cost jumps up quickly. It's tough for smaller teams or independent developers to keep up without a big budget
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to stop guessing why users leave the platform. Instead of just knowing that people are dropping off, Amplitude lets me see the exact step where they get stuck in the onboarding flow. Fixing that friction helps get more sign-ups through the funnel without wasting time.

Rapid, Shareable Insights Without Needing SQL
Reviewed on Jun 03, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to rapidly answer questions that would be otherwise time-consuming and potentially require specialised knowledge of tools like SQL as well as being able to easily dig deeper, investigating related information in a way that can easily be visualised and shared with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Much harder to find things I dislike about it than things I like. The only thing that really comes to mind is that the ease of use sometimes comes at the cost of being able to perform some complex analyses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to identify and monitor key customer journeys and where issues are occurring so we can best focus our efforts when it comes to things like where we should improve.
It also empowers more of our team to be hands on and familiar with exactly how our users interact with us online, which in turn means that future products involve less guesswork and are instead led by what we can see our users are most likely to appreciate/use.
