Powerful tool, great customer service.

What do you like best about the product?
Contract management and integration with our CRM (HubSpot) work great. Out of all the tools and vendors we use, PandaDoc has one of the best customer services. Very responsive, always finding a quick solution. And that's worth a lot. Thanks!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not cheap. The features are great and they 100% justify the price. But if you don't use all of them, it's quite expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contract management directly in the CRM (HubSpot)

Easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to move pieces around as needed and incredibly easy to make templates. The content library is very helpful for creating multiple versions of a document and it's easy for clients to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes features don't work in ways you want them too or would expect them too. Converting documents to PDFs is also tricky because it's hit or miss if content stays on the same page and doesn't break apart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PandaDoc makes the proposal process easier and keeps us organized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a learning curve but once you get the hang of it, the experience is seamless

Take your sales guarantee to the next level with PandaDoc

What do you like best about the product?
The integration function is excellent. The function of obtaining sales documents directly from CRM records and having "event" time stamps on contact records is very powerful. Then, when the document is sent and posted to the engagement history, a time stamp is also printed on the contact record. This allows the salesperson to know more about the activity and thus gain a deeper involvement in the actual documentation of the history. PandaDoc has the ability to manage large content libraries and product catalogs. PandaDoc is ideal for creating dynamic proposal templates and launch platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
They need to increase value beyond sales. In addition to current payment functions, there are opportunities to expand their value in operations and fulfillment. PandaDoc needs to improve its integration with other software partners. The ability to upload video files is excellent, but they are not yet able to adapt to major video platforms such as 23 and Vidyard. PandaDoc needs to improve the presentation function. Before sending a document, there is a very cumbersome application that needs to share the document in a screen-sharing meeting. PandaDoc lacks presentation capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As users and implementers of PandaDoc, we have been closely involved with the software in multiple applications. As users, our entire agency works on PandaDoc every day. Sales takes advantage of the seamless integration with our CRM to initiate, customize and display sales documents and contracts with new clients. Once new clients join, our operations team will use PandaDoc to create marketing, network and sales support plans. Our implementation team will refer to these documents to create project plans and track deliverables.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
PandaDoc is the best solution in the world for any organization that wants to improve the appearance, function and functionality of its sales materials. If you share suggestions with prospects and clients, you should consider using PandaDoc for a more complex and dynamic approach.

PandaDoc

What do you like best about the product?
PandaDoc was beneficial for our company, which required signing a large number of documents, both for the perspective and for us. PandaDoc shortened the time it took to print all the body papers as well as the time it took to have them signed and returned.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been many more positive factors in PandaDoc than bad types, but sooner or later, when a customer reports a method in the future, it will generally fail to go bust and improve it by returning it back or even a little waiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to communicate effectively to our clients painful problems that we solve. A great advantage is the ability to immediately introduce films to the offer and change any project to any target team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pandadoc is very simple to operate and fill, additionally it enables you to store files and upload copies even in case of lack of an account.

Excessive price increases year over year

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is really nice. It makes creating quotes very easy. The template editor provides a lot of flexibility and the embedded calculator works very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
They were fantastic in early years. We have been a clients since near the beginning and lived through the early growing stages. Last year was a pretty extensive price increase, but I was understanding given the advancements in the platform. This year was another big shock as they are taking away functionality we have used for years and charging more fees. Back to back 20%+ increases has me now looking for new options.

Great product - just can't trust the excessive prices increases year after year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our objective was to make it easy for sales to quickly put a professional quote in customers hands. Pandadoc checks all the boxes - it has worked reliably for years.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use, great support, and visually appealing - it pays for itself
What do you dislike about the product?
It required some research and training to get to use it as you want to. No phone support, only expert advice or through chat, yet it works
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to create documents and send quotes fast. I find that sending a formal quote with Images and Videos and to be able to attach a brochure is fantastic and it gives my potential customer a great view of the product I'm offering
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to impress your customer with top of the line and creative proposals, use PandaDoc

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of using templates to create proposals and then add additional customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we first started using the emails we were sending out often got marked as junk mail, but they have fixed that problem for most emails and if we don't hear back we just follow-up with a phone call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to provide professional looking documents to potential clients in minutes.

PandaDoc will become the premier e-signature/contract management platform when word gets out

  • September 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have found PandaDoc to be superior to DocuSign and Adobe in many ways. I don't have to worry about sending too many contracts since they offer an unlimited plan so the pricing is consistent. PandaDoc's user interface is easy to use and allows live editing of documents as templates rather than re-uploading documents from Word/PDF and then adding all the fields for my clients to enter or sign. The integration with HubSpot was super easy to setup and use. I can't say enough how much I like PandaDoc's platform. When other people find out about PandaDoc, they will end up switching services. They just don't have the name recognition as the other big names...things will change though. You watch!
What do you dislike about the product?
After using PandaDoc for about 3 months, I have not found any major issues. If I was forced to pick on something, there are times when my added text edits doesn't move the signature or other entry fields with the rest of the document, but it is a minor fix with drag/drop. It's still better than re-uploading an entire document and adding the fields back in like other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using for NDAs, software licensing, MSA, and SOW contract management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will take just a bit of time to know where some of the editing options are located. It's not bad by any means, but moving to a new platform will always have somewhat of a learning curve.

This product has a very, very long way to go.

What do you like best about the product?
Nothing, I will be removing it internally from our system at our earliest possible convenience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Generally, the whole product.

To highlight a few things that are of major concern and that we were over sold on:

1. Connectivity with Salesforce. There is no real sync happening between Salesforce and PandaDoc of anything meaningful. They are only able to sync over Product Line Items, fairly standard, on document creation. Which means if you edit your products for the opportunity in SFDC you either, a. have to manually edit you proposals, which is not user friendly, or b. you have to create an entirely new PD proposal, which is also time consuming. When questioned about the commitment to improving this from the product team, they did not inspire confidence that it is a priority.

2. Approval Workflows. We were sold very heavily on PD's approval workflows, which were rudimentary at best. The basic if logic, can only handle the simplest of needs and it has really no flexibility. It was so poorly built that they scrapped approval workflows entirely when they released their "Editor 2.0" which was meant to address the poor interface and usability of "Editor 1.O". Forget trying to do any basic thing like override an approval for a party that may be unexpectedly out of the office, they provide no means to do this simply.

3. Usability. As mentioned, they released a "Editor 2.0" to address the abysmal experience in the original editor. They first issue was, that it's essentially an entirely new product and requires either their or your effort to move over any existing templates you have. The second was, there is not feature parity around approvals or SFDC with the new editor, making it difficult to choose what to sacrifice. A horrible user experience on Editor 1.0 for a marginally better one in Editor 2.0 and completely re-engineer our approval process inside of Salesforce or to stay on the original editor and deal with the constant barrage of headaches from individual contributors all the way to our CEO.

4. Export Ability. God forbid you ever need to export one of these to a PDF. There was no thought put into the exporting features and the conversion process leaves any stylized document nearly unrecognizable.

5 Admin Capabilities. There is next to nothing in the way of true admin capabilities here. There are three roles available, but no ability to edit what permissions those roles have. For example, I have "Managers" as a role assigned to the people in our org that need to be able to look at team wide documents. As a part of that role they can add whoever they would like as a user, which has created a nightmare for international teams who from time to time, because they can, just go in and add new users, despite our best efforts to communicate not too. There is little in the way of supporting a need for control over users and their abilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created more issues, than we solved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It would be easier for you to just create some nice looking proposals in G-Slides, Powerpoint, Canva, etc. and take the time to create approval workflows in SFDC, if that is your CRM of choice.

It will save you time, headaches, and above all $10K+ depending on your license needs.
