What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to streamline the entire contract process
What do you dislike about the product?
The system does need to work on glitchiness.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem solved is taking a time consuming contracting process and putting all in one spot and automatizing everything possible to shave down the time spent on it all.

What do you like best about the product?
Novatus has been an excellent contract management software, and I've been particularly pleased with the contract trees module, as well as the differentiation between company documents and company contracts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see Novatus improve the transferability of the contract view window, for when viewing contracts through the contract family or documents tabs, i.e. i would like the metadata fields that are shown when viewing one company to be the same for all companies across the system. Once those preferences are set for one company, transferring across all would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team and I are using this to manage our contracts, where we've found that it's extremeley easy to track document status, expiration dates, etc.

Better process for our University

What do you like best about the product?
Novatus allows us to store and track signed contracts. We are now able to easily find any University contract searching by a variety of indicators.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are limited to the number of people who can use Novatus, but we have dealt with that by having a few people with unlimited rights, and a few others with read-only rights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have improved and streamlined our contract approval process and are better able to keep track of and quickly locate signed contracts upon request.

Needs tad more flexibility to customize. Create mor euser friendly ability to store docs.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of the system. I am able to create new metadata fields and generate new reports easily without relying on my company's IT support staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a function to create distribution lists for automatic alerts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We created a central contract repository that is utilized by a number of different business units.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate your needs thoroughly before committing. Novatus is a reliable workhorse, not a show pony. The system does exactly what it says it will with very few additional bells and whistles. The lack of flash may seem like a downside if you come in expecting the world. The simplicity is actually a positive for someone like myself who is administering the system for wide range of users with differing levels of familiarity with its functionality. Anyone can learn to use it easily.

Worth the tedious design and implementaiton

What do you like best about the product?
I like that all my data is in one place and gives easy access to all users (saves me a ton of time searching through emails
What do you dislike about the product?
The beginning, building, data migration is a beast! I do not think I received enough information up front (we asked if there was anything we could do, and were told no! - this was not the case) There should definitely be a preparation guide on what basic steps (figuring out contract groups and contract types) BEFORE the initial design/function training. Getting put on the spot on day two that you need to have contract groups was a bit much to handle, so some hints on what will be required of us and what we can work on that before hand would have made the training go much smoother. That way the trainer is showing you how to enter your actual process and data fields, rather than showing you how processes CAN BE entered an leaving you to your own devices after they leave. The training could be more of a working training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far, feedback from accounting being able to check on agreements on their own was positive, and Legal department having one place for all data and not having to access the company network after hours has proven fast and helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start fresh. New process, no legacy data. Be open and try not to fit a square into a circle (like we did)

Highly Recommend Conga Contracts for any Salesforce Clients using Contracts

What do you like best about the product?
Many things! We have integrated Conga Contracts with our Salesforce Contracts and DocuSign and a Salesforce Approval process to vet Contracts internally, and once approved, to send them for DocuSign signatures with the click of a button. Conga Contracts Negotiation and Redlining functions allow us to update Contract Clauses on the fly, and to run reports on which Clauses are being updated, in case we need to update the base Clauses used in our Contracts. Conga Support in developing this process was Fantastic, and Conga was proactive in keeping tabs on our progress and questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really nothing to dislike here, Conga even offers multiple levels of paid integration & support so that anyone from the novice user to the advanced client can benefit and meet budgetary needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remember when you used to have to press hard when writing contracts so that the terms and signature could be read on the white, yellow, and the pink copies? Now you can sign from your cell phone!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm not aware of any other provider that works so well with Salesforce and DocuSign, it is a perfect and all-encompassing solution for us.

What do you like best about the product?
I do like that it has extensive features to help your company organize its contract flow from beginning to execution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The features can be a little too extensive and wish there were certain features like auto-notifications for contracts versus having to put individual alerts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to store our company's contracts and found it to be helpful in that regard. People can see all of the legal terms for our contracts as well as run wonderful reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set it up in the beginning of your company's lifecycle.

Decent legacy software ported to the web

What do you like best about the product?
This is well-thought out software that has a long history of use behind it. It was clearly designed with legal groups in the process, and the basic workflows are there.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is clearly legacy software that was ported to the web, somewhat roughly. The system does not have the elegance or grace of web-era software, and too many workflows are clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We recently terminated our use of the software for a newer, more cloud-integrated experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider newer web-first products that have their own unique tradeoffs (often less well designed from a workflow perspective, but better UI).
