Great for Sending Contracts, Not Great for Sending Presentations

What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of Octiv is the integration with Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting Proposal templates is extremely difficult. They aren't easy to update unless you change directly in the source code and even then, the proposals look very unprofessional. Additionally, the formatting gets completely messed up with the proposals are downloaded to PPT.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Octiv to create proposals for our sales reps to use as a sales enablement tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Octiv needs to have PPT downloading functionality that doesn't completely mess up the formatting.

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility of the platform to configure proposals the way you would like. The team at Octiv has proven to be a good partner to us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of internal conversation tools (for example, when a customer asks a question, the tool doesn't have a sophisticated method of handling those questions.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proposal Generation for clients. We have generally standardized the look and feel of proposals going to our customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
HTML knowledge is a must.

Octiv: A daily user's review

What do you like best about the product?
Octiv allows our organization to have all our sales collateral in one place. This saves us time and allows us to organize hundreds of documents and build professional proposals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since my team spends most of their day in Octiv, I dislike when there is a bug in the system that prevents us from doing our job. These bugs doesn't happen often, but when it does it slows my team down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Octiv, our organization is able to increase the volume of proposals. We've seen an uptick in sales, which is directly correlated to the increase in proposals. Some of that has to do with the quality of our Sales Planning team, but none of it would be possible without Octiv.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your company is looking to save time on proposal creation without adding an employee, Octiv is the way to go.

What do you like best about the product?
We have just started to work with Octiv however their customer service thus far has been excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at the moment due to the fact that we have just started working with the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unified process when it comes to putting sales documents together. Consistent branding of our sales documents.

Rough go with onboarding, took longer than expected.

Less mistakes with information that needs to be included for each unique client. Less mistakes occur.

Ability to maintain templates and update them all at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
That is is not as compatible with word as it is with Adobe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to keep proposal templates updated without having to maintain multiple templates. Easy to make an update to all templates and track assets.

What do you like best about the product?
Lots of features and somewhat user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
If the Customer wants to redline a Word version there is no way to put that back into the system. It isn't as flexible of a tool when you need to monitor internal edits without going into a published mode which limits some of the editing options

Controls around versions and editing being down by our sales reps.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Implementation was very thurough
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is outsourced. My first experience with support was very challenging
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlined process for obtaining signed documents from our customers. We no longer have to worry about document errors or missing documents. Everything is signed with the click of one button. We also love the insight as to what the customer is doing with our documents. Before we would send a document and it would be a waiting game.

What do you like best about the product?
Liked the automation and simplification of the order form.
What do you dislike about the product?
Required too much customization of our forms. When we wanted to make changes, it felt like we were starting over. Found a simple signature system (i.e. docusign) was easier for both parties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to track our deals with more transparency. Not just automate the signature processes, but track the nature of our deals. We saw some of these benefits, but likely did not use the system as intended and thus did not see the results.
