Solid product for software companies who want to understand how their team is working
What do you like best about the product?
- Basic free plan to get started
- Only needed support once, but they were accommodating and fast to respond

- Some integrations to other services like Discord and Linear are still missing at the time of this review

It provides a lot of interesting insight, but i never ran a company where it was critical.
What do you like best about the product?
Identifying shadow work and review time.

Team efficiency and insight into operations
Linear B makes detecting code smells and code complexity easy!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how you configure LinearB to a pipeline and get instant results about code quality.

At this point, there is nothing that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LinearB makes it very easy to identify code that needs to be updated before being merged. Sometimes a pull request can mask over complex code or a code smell, LinearB helps identify any issues.
Game Changer
What do you like best about the product?
Actionable insights at the click of a button! I've been so impressed with the ability to drill down and identify tasks/projects which are at risk, where others I would have been stuck digging into Jira and Github manually. Slack integration with WorkerB is a blessing as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are only available with 30 days worth of insights. I'd love to see a more straightforward presentation of pricing and creating teams/admins. Views for leadership teams which simplify where a project is would be amazing as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Specifically, LinearB is solving the problem of what tasks engineers are working on, how long it's taking them to complete, and better identifying at-risk tasks.
Interesting software service to boost team productivity
What do you like best about the product?
The customer support has been good, answering queries I've raised. The user interface is very slick and engaging and, if I can get all of the Jira data to pull through in just the right way, I'm sure it can be a useful daily tool. I already appreciate some of the slack commands that allow you to see all outstanding reviews. Very nice!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit tricky trying to work out how to properly integrate Jira with it. Technically, the integration is easy but actually seeing the work apportioned to the appropriate users and working over time is a bit harder to quite setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to measure team productivity is a useful tool to help streamline productivity changes with some objective metrics to measure changes against. I'm wanting to use this as a daily tool to use productivity tracking in a positive way (to encourage the teams to improve by seeing the data reflect better habits).
I think the DORA metrics and the insights about the team are really helpful.

DORA metrics. It gives very good insights into productivity.

I think the deployment times are sometimes confusing. Maybe break it down into some other things will be great

Giving overall team metrics. It helps analysing shortcoming and come up with future goals
Putting our Engineering Health Metrics front and centre
What do you like best about the product?
It helped us hit the ground running when adapting health metrics into our process. We connected our Gitlab and Jira accounts, set up our squads and projects, and the tool delivered value to us straight away. It's easy for any team member or leader to understand how our time is used, what's currently going on, and how we can measure improvement through process changes.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are several metrics highly related to the metrics LinearB contains, but we need to source from other tools or that we can't configure in a good way. For example, things like CFR aren't quite working the way we want it (they're currently looking into this for us), and the way our SRE solution works means we can't track incidents in the way we wanted. In addition, there are other external metrics that we have to keep track of manually. Some customization options for these peripheral metrics would have significantly increased the value we get from the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LinearB helps us optimize the process in how we developer our software. It lets us understand how we distribute the time in various parts of the development process to ensure we can optimize the right parts. We're strong believers in working iteratively and deliver value in small chunks and LinearB puts the metrics on how well we do that on an ongoing basis and across the many teams and engineers we have.

We like the metrics that are measured and the quick results/reports

It requires a bit to get used to the terminology.

A very well designed solution
What do you like best about the product?
The onboarding process was such a great experience, something to marvel at in the midst of all the intentional complexity found in most products these days. Setting up my LinearB account from Gitlab to Jira to Slack integration was super smooth with accurate detailed instructions available along the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
None that is LinearB's fault, but the Git activity we had in the repos setup with LinearB was not enough to generate meaningful insights, that is until we changed our Git process to a more Git Flow-like process that we started to see deeper insights

LinearB gives you deeper visibility into what developers are working on, their time load, who is doing what, etc. Overall it gives you a god-like view into town work across different repos.

Simple to navigate and understand; tight integration with GitHub and Jira; Slack notifications; self-updating when new repositories are added
