A partner that actually makes compliance easier
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass takes a process that’s usually painful and makes it manageable. The platform is extremely easy to integrate and very straightforward to use, which saves a lot of time during audits and evidence collection. Their team is knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Customer support is consistently great, and it feels like working with a true partner rather than just another vendor.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Trust Center, while a great new feature, would be even better if it allowed adding external certificates or badges not issued through Thoropass.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass helps streamline compliance and audit readiness by centralising everything in one place. It eliminates the back-and-forth between teams and auditors, which saves a huge amount of time. The platform makes it easy to stay organised, track evidence, and maintain ongoing compliance.
Very helpful in reaching SOC 2 Compliance!
What do you like best about the product?
We love the team at Thoropass and their help in getting us SOC 2 certified! They answered all of our questions promptly and it was really helpful having access to their knowledge throughout this process. The portal allowed us to save down everything that was needed for the audit and easily & transparently see everything we'd already saved down. It kept our team organized and driving towards our main goal.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't love the fact that you have to upload documents effectively twice (once during the preparation phase and a second time during the audit phase). I wish the documents that I previously uploaded would have remained so that I didn't have to duplicate my work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass is helping us get SOC 2 Type 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 certified. We've never done it before and they've laid out all of the steps for us.
A Stress-Free SOC 2 & Pentesting Audits
What do you like best about the product?
Well-structured and actionable reports delivered with great speed. The service and documentation make it easy to share with the team and quickly implement necessary improvements.

I have nothing to add here - everything was great
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have successfully completed our SOC 2 Type 1 certification, as well as two separate pentesting engagements for two different clients.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy and straightforward to use, and the communication with the auditors and product manager was quick and helpful.

It provided the platform for our SOC 2 audit.

What do you like best about the product?
The integrations with our cloud provider and HR systems make it easy to automatically import evidence. Overall, the system is user-friendly and straightforward to navigate. The Thoropass team is great to work with and our monthly meetings keep us on track.

Setting up custom reviews can be confusing and not as flexible.

Top Notch for SOC 2 auditing
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass nails it when it comes to simplifying compliance. Its user-friendly dashboard and task-oriented roadmap make SOC 2 audits feel far less overwhelming. The automated monitoring tools and tight integrations with cloud platforms significantly reduce manual effort, and the support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed. If you're looking to make compliance something you manage with confidence — not dread — Thoropass is a standout choice.

It's a great program, I just wish that we had discovered it sooner.

SOC 2 Type 2, pentest, auditing. They're validating our professionalism as a govtech company.
Breeze Compliance as a Service
What do you like best about the product?
The Cloud Monitors designed for SOC 2 not only made the compliance process much smoother, but also brought improvements to other areas such as infrastructure security and cost management. The entire process of preparing for SOC 2 was streamlined, and I especially appreciated that everything was automated, with clear instructions provided for resolving any issues detected by each monitor. The support we received from Patrick on the Thoropass team was truly exceptional.
Because most controls are linked through monitors, and those monitors are connected via integrations, implementing the system in our company was incredibly straightforward. Once we set up the integrations, the platform automatically populated much of the necessary information, and many controls were completed without manual intervention.
I also find it very convenient to log in to the Thoropass platform daily to see if there are any new tasks required to maintain compliance or to check for any regressions. Their platform makes it easy to stay on top of compliance requirements, even after achieving the initial certification.

What do you dislike about the product?
The process of purchasing and managing payments through AWS Marketplace was somewhat cumbersome. I believe it might have been easier if we had used a different purchasing method. However, this issue was primarily due to AWS and not the fault of Thoropass. Thoropass itself is excellent!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass is a truly comprehensive platform for achieving and maintaining SOC 2 compliance. It streamlines critical processes like security training, vendor risk reviews, risk management, audits, and SOC 2 control implementation. On top of that, it supports penetration testing and other essential compliance tasks. With Thoropass, companies not only simplify their compliance journey but also build greater reliability and trust with their customers.

What do you dislike about the product?
Getting access to the portal for some people, especially those who are non-tech savvy, requiring them to use an authenticator which they are not familiar with.
Security Awareness training wasn't appealing nor interactive. Didn't feel it was beneficial as anyone can just speedily go through the slides without reading anything.

We work as a 3rd party with organizations that require us to ensure we are in compliance with their security requirements. Also as a start up, we needed to be able to make sure all security controls are developed and in place.
Great Support. Mediocre UI/UX
What do you like best about the product?
There overall customer support and account management has been great. The team has always been helpful with questions and they provide answers quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user experience of the Thoropass application could be designed better. It's lacking some features. It shows Tasks, but has no way to easily view past tasks completed and manage recurring tasks. It's more of a hack that our AM showed us. So trying to keep track of what tasks are due next month, next quarter, etc is difficult. It could be easily resolved with a Calendar and simple recurring task management.
The initial sales process was rough. We were very close to ending conversations with our sales rep. Looking back at it, I think the sales rep just didn't have great industry experience and may have been green. The sales rep's responses just came off as very shady and misleading. We couldn't get a straight answer on cost. Eventually, we had it escalated to some one in management who was able to articulate the cost of the platform.
