Great product. Makes a painful process (SOC2), easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive and easy-to-follow product with ready-built templates. Also, exceptional customer support. All at a very reasonable price.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything to dislike so far.

Makes the SOC2 and GDPR processes easy.

Laika has gathered an awesome team of compliance experts that are kind and helpful. They're an extension of our compliance team.

It would be helpful if they had a compliant vault, like companies like VGS offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Laika helps us take the discovery and playbook-ing out of our compliance process. They already know exactly what we need to do, and they help us execute.

Great support for the SOC audit process
What do you like best about the product?
I had never gone through the SOC audit process before, but Laika has made it pretty simple so far. Someone on their team has been able to answer any questions I've had with a quick turnaround.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I think my only complaint has been yesterday's upgrade to their UI. Ultimately, it will make their system easier to use, but I had just gotten accustomed to the previous version. Even so, it was easy to recalibrate my bearings and I haven't had any issues navigating around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Laika is guiding us through the process of our SOC audit. We need this completed to be taken seriously by our potential customers, and most of our team has not navigated through this process before now. Laika's team members are experts in this realm and are shepherding us through the process.

What do you like best about the product?
Automated integration with AWS, Google, Insperity and other partners allowing for automatic detection of non-compliance issues (hugely beneficial). Great support from CSRs. Cost of audit is built into service. Easy integration with very value pen-testing service. Easy to implement. Something we reference weekly if not daily.
Compliance items are broken down into easy-to-manage controls that need to be implemented with clear objectives to meet and instructions on how to implement the controls. As you work through each control you get to see your overall progress toward compliance and audit-readiness.

What do you like best about the product?
Laika distills the enormous complexity of regulatory compliance into a clear project management plan of organized tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most tasks have good working examples and suggestions, but some still need to be populated. Also missing is the root compliance language driving the task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Obtain compliance and / or certification for HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC II while minimizing duplicate effort.
User Friendly & Great Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
Laika provides an in-depth roadmap that lists all requirements for SOC2 compliance. They are very attentive and quick to respond to any questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some roadmap items can be challenging to interpret, but they are always there to answer any questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance and audit management is an extensive and tricky process. Laika ensures you have everything you need in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Their workflow process makes compliance very clear and easy. They are very straight forward with what needs and requirements are to be met in order to become compliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are usually swamped. Therefore we have to schedule calls a week in advance to get clarity on any issues or needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to become HIPAA and SOC 1 and 2 Compliant. They were very helpful in getting us up to compliance and helping us with the audits. This helped us get compliant faster.
Moves toward a more interactive compliance experience
What do you like best about the product?
Laika's ability to easily converse about evidence and policies with auditors and customer managers is particularly useful: we made liberal use of it to avoid long cycle times of only catching up with someone on a weekly or otherwise recurring basis. They also have direct integrations with some common cloud providers, which was able to automate some relevant evidence collection.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't like the need to push policy documents into the Laika-specific GoogleDocs-like space. I would have preferred a more direct integration with our system of record, so that we could maintain these documents directly in Google Drive, and publish changes from there directly to Laika. I look forward to more/better/configurable integrations with external cloud providers to avoid even more evidence collection drudgery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Laika helped us navigate the complicated SOC2 landscape as a relatively small company without a dedicated compliance team. They were able to support us where we were strong and explain the real utility where we were weak. Compared to previous vendors, I feel like we took a real step-up in security posture as a result of working with them.
