Simple way of aquiring SOC2 Type1
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple system that quickly shows you what you're missing on your certificate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I get lost on what exactly are my next steps, then I can just talk to the online chat or dedicated CSM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplifying our Audit process to get SOC2 Type1 and 2.
Good for teams lacking security professionals, but requires commitment
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass did a good job breaking down the basics for people who had never gone through a certification effort before and their platform was straightforward to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Don't think that this will solve compliance overnight, it requires a lot of effort from your team to make changes, submit documentation, etc. Certification efforts are going to be a sizable commitment not matter what platform you use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that Thoropass is helping with is having all our security components in a single place for our audits. It is certainly faster than trying to track all this manually.

The dashboard can be a little clunky but truly everything was amazing.

Thoropass is a great SOC2 Compliance Solution for our Fintech Business
What do you like best about the product?
We adopted Thoropass to centralize our SOC compliance program and it paid off immediately. The platform made scoping, control mapping, and evidence collection straightforward — no more scattered spreadsheets or last-minute scramble before audits. Tasks and reminders keep owners accountable, the evidence repository is easy for auditors to navigate, and the papertrail for testing is clear and exportable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Thoropass' original pen test partner was difficult to work with, but they have since mitigated this issue and their new in house pen test solution is much better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preparing for SOC 2 Type I → Type II, ongoing control evidence collection, auditor collaboration They have made the SOC 2 compliance process so easy and straightforward. They are an excellent value for the price and they will make the process so much easier than you ever thought possible.

What do you dislike about the product?
While working with Thoropass, I found that some third-party companies they recommended, such as pen testers, were on the more expensive side, even after discounts were applied. If you're willing to invest time in exploring other options, you should be able to find cheaper alternatives.

My company needed to achieve SOC2 compliance. SOC2 compliance is crucial for companies that handle sensitive data, such as financial information, medical records, or personal data, as it ensures that they have the necessary security and privacy controls in place to protect their customers' information. There are a lot of helpful features in the platform - some are just not ready yet.

Thoropass was essential in establishing a set of policies and procedures to prepare us for a successful SOC2 Type I assessment. The integration capability, employee training/acknowledgment functionality and offboarding are just a few of the features that make the platform helpful in maintaining a compliant state. As a fintech, every due diligence effort starts with "do you have your SOC2?" question.

This process was slick, and they provided updates so I wasn't chasing endlessly. They also provided documentation for prospects mid-process to confirm we were getting the certification and a rough timeline. This helped me close deals now.
