Great software all around!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use! I take comfort that my staff can protect sensitive information with one click. I also have been consistently impressed with the customer service from Virtru. From the sales pitch to well after the sale was finalized, I could count on a quick and friendly response to my many, many questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is steep, especially for a nonprofit organization, but the discount helped quite a bit. I also wish I could assign users with email addresses other than Gmail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we started billing Medicaid, we needed to have a HIPAA-compliant messaging system. We tried a few "free" services and ran into issues with user-friendliness, message limits, and internal control. Virtru removed all those issues, so we could focus on doing our work and submitting billing without fighting the encryption software.
Great encryption for gmail
What do you like best about the product?
I like how simple it is to use, easily integrated in gmail.
What do you dislike about the product?
The plugin for chrome tends to disappear a good bit, leaving us to have to turn off the plugin and back on for it to work again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru keeps helps us sending private information safely and securely through email.

Extremely Easy To Use and Secure Email Encryption System
What do you like best about the product?
Virtru is integrated right into our Google Gmail interface and is extremely easy to use for not only the sender but also the recipient of the encrypted email message.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing that I dislike about Virtru at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru allows us to quickly and securely send messages and files with sensitive data in them to external recipients without requiring our users to log into a separate system or open a different browser tab.
Easy and user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Knowing my emails are safe. Software is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that when I send an email unsecure that my attachment will be removed.

Helping send safe protected emails with client information.
Virtru has offered us a succinct solution for secure transmission of our sensitive data over email.
What do you like best about the product?
When required to transmit passwords to new remote employees, or when sending sensitive business documents, Virtru has provided us with a solution that is both easy to use and offers us the control over the secure files we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
There has been difficulty onboarding our employees to the features provided by Virtru. Also, at times filters are too aggressive and detect CC numbers in links that don't exist. They also auto-encrypt emails even when the word "password" is used but no password is included. Initial filters had to be adjusted so workflows were not interrupted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru allows us to transmit and control sensitive documents sent to external sources. Additionally, it gives us peace of mind as we transmit data to our contracted statisticians and onboard new employees who work remotely.
Works well for Google Mail encryption
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use in the Google Mail arena. Users can quickly turn on encryption and set settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Google Drive connector could operate better. Seems to slow down users when right-clicking on files and folders

Google Drive connector often slows down user experience within drive.google.com.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use when installed. Easy to open for recipients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes difficult to find and add to users email. Often disappears and has to be re-loaded
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using virtru we can send patient data to patients and others that do not have secure direct messaging and not worry about PHI.
Easy to use for all
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it easy to protect HIPAA information from inadvertent disclosure by automatically encrypting messages with HIPAA information. Of course if the information is not truly HIPAA then you can easily switch off the encryption.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't really think of anything. It used to be difficult to set it up but it has recently become fairly easy.
