Great encryption service for email
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use. You may use your own email to log in. There's also an option to write a non-encrypted message above the encrypted message. The encryption option is fairly easy to turn on and off depending on when you need it. Users can also revoke access to the email in case the message is incomplete, sent in error, or sent to the wrong recipient.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have clients that are non-tech savvy, so a brief prompt on how to open an encrypted email would help so the recipients can access the message easily on their end. Sometimes, we have to walk them through how to unlock the message.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru has offered a great option to users such as our company to keep our documents on email encrypted and maintain HIPAA standards to ensure patient confidentiality. The option to revoke an encrypted email also helps in avoiding errors.

Prioritization of Client Security
What do you like best about the product?
I love the revoke feature that Virtru offers when sending encrypted messages--forgiving for people who make mistakes from time to time!
What do you dislike about the product?
Several clients have had difficulties opening attachments. I have not looked too much into a solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru is giving us a way to encrypt email messages that has helped clients from all sorts of email platforms access our clinic messages.
Working in the healthcare industry, virtru has been very beneficial.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about virtual is that you're able to revoke a message to avoid any data compromised in an email. It helped tremendously when a report was accidentally sent to the wrong customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike or downside I've had with virtru is it inactivating in my email sometimes and having to figure out how to get it reactivated. In the beginning, it was a little frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru helps with the process of sending out invoices to our healthcare providers and their detailed reports and keeping their data protected. It reassures our customers, which helps our company with their trust.
Useful and easy to use, with some inconveniences
What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to use - just clicking a button on my email.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are that sometimes encrypted emails do not want to send - they will run and run forever and not send. I have to close out, go in my drafts and try again. Sometimes more than once. I also get comments from vendors often to resend because they can't open attachments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru helps me keep client confidentiality and email vendors and clients encrypted without having to use bulky State and County encryption services. This makes monthly billing faster and smoother.
I would highly recommend Virtru, but there are a few things I would like to change.

It's conveniently placed in my email and I can just click on it.

I can't see the email thread below when receiving a new email.

Ensuring that we are in compliance with HIPPA and state regulations.
Easy to use, only minor issues when loading the app in to outlook when using a MAC

Ease of use with the integrated app. Being able to quick-click and include a short message is enormously helpful and time-saving.
What do you dislike about the product?
Glitches and message delays. Sometimes we have to re-load the app into outlook/office

We needed an effective and affordable HIPAA secure email solution, Virtru provided this for us.

Super easy to manage through the dashboard. Pricing is decent for the services.

Sometimes it unlinks itself. This is annoying.

User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
This extension is very user-friendly and easy to install. I use it on every email I send that entails private details such as personal identifiers, money amounts, and passwords.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of my older clients have trouble at times using Virtru. They often forget their passwords or have issues accessing them on their older computer models. However, their issues are almost always easily and quickly resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru is solving our once was, a common problem of security. We no longer have to worry about private emails being seen by those it does not belong to. This also helps with legality issues related to emailed private data.
Have never had any issues with Virtru, It is easy to use.

It is very user-friendly. The extension for Gmail is very helpful, it switches Virtru on and off with just a switch.
What do you dislike about the product?
It s a little difficult to get to the setting to change any preferences.

Sending encrypted mail is part of my job as we have PHI in emails to sponsors.

I like that using Virtru is not difficult. It is an easy installation with google.

I do not dislike anything about this product.

Virtru is assisting in securing protected information. The system allows the receiver of the email easily access what we have sent in the encrypted email.
