It's Great When It Works!
What do you like best about the product?
That it's so easy to use and most of the time it works great!
What do you dislike about the product?
When it decides to stop working correctly, it will hold up the email and not send it. Plus having to re-authenticate so often.

It works
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to install. Support is good and timely. It helps to remind you if you have sent some sensitive data. The admin console is easy to navigate. Support site has lots of support documents for the user community.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users have lots of trouble using it. If they don't prepare instructions for the recipient they have trouble opening it. Some users just can't seem to understand how it works even though it is pretty straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending encrypted documents to our patients or legal entities is something we take seriously. Not just because we need to protect them but we take pride in our company and want to provide the best services to everyone we work with.

Enhancing our Email Data Protection for our Outlook Mailbox with establishing Email Rules in Virtru
What do you like best about the product?
Virtru offers data protection solutions for our Business Email accounts through file protection & granular control features. It satisfies regulatory requirements such as HIPPA, GDPR & CCPA which are mandated for our client's data compliance standards. It won't allow any unauthorized third-party tools to access our customer data. All sensitive data present in our emails and files are encrypted and we can host the encryption keys in its key management utility.
What do you dislike about the product?
It provisions excellent access revocations, password expirations, disable access forwarding options for our organizational account. The visibility offered by its audit console is excellent to know who accessed the data, what is the time of access, where and for how long the data was in use. This effectively helps in overviewing our customer data security and it flags any kind of unusual activities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provisions end-to0end encryption to our mails & attached files from our Outlook mailbox. Its Email Rules establish granular control, detect sensitive contents automatically & allow us to decide based on our customer requirements. Configuring its Data Loss Prevention policies helps in scanning our emails and attachment for sensitive data and implements encryption & access control policies for our customer data protection. It provides convenience to handle both personal and organizational accounts through its console management dashboard.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to check dashboard for your historical info, blocking emails from being forwarded and secure file sharing

Having to repeatedly log in on the same device and not being able to schedule emails

Being able to send information with end to end encryption
Cheap, Efficient, Not User Friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
My company first started using Virtru as it was very cost-efficient (either free or low-cost). This is the reason we continue using Virtru.
What do you dislike about the product?
The worst issue with Virtru is the inability to CC people into any pre-existing email thread. It is impossible for anyone to view any previous messages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a company that requires email security that complies with HIPAA privacy laws. Virtru providers a cheap and easy service to do that.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to encrypt and has options to catch if potential sensitive material is in email
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs a code every time an encrypted e-mail is open and some state and county agencies are unable to open e-mails so not always efficient from one agency to another
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtu allows e-mail communication with families securely and they do not have to remember a password which can be helpful at times.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to encrpyt my emails using Virtru. I love the ease of opening encrypted emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I'm forwarding some of the emails, I cannot see the original email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love being reminded to encrypt an email before I'm about to send the email which helps our company prevent fines from HIPAA violations

Some people have difficulties getting encrypted emails especially from their phones

Being able to share protected information easily

very simple to use, I like how people can reply to me with virtru encryption even if they don't have it

for specific users in our company that are using their gmail accounts in Outlook, when they receive replies from Virtru, if there were attachments on previous emails in the chain, they receive all files from the entire chain, which could be confusing

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Virtru is a gmail product. Its easy to give new employees work email and they seem to be able to learn Virtu pretty easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
We were required to use encrypted emails by one big contracts and even several years in our clients (the same ones who required us to encrypt emails) ask us weekly to send our emails unencrypted because they can't figure out how to open them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to send client information back and forth safely and to keep our government contract
