What do you like best about the product?
I have found the AIQ support team helpful and professional throughout our entire implementation process. They have answered all our questions and ensured we have all the information we need when we need it. The platform also seems easy to use and provides new insights for our company that we never thought about.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had any issues or concerns so there's nothing that I dislike about AIQ.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving the issue of not knowing our customers very well. With the insights from AIQ we are able to better market to our customers with information and deals they would like to see. It's still early in our process so I'm not sure we're seeing any benefits yet but we are very hopeful for the future.

Easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
It's simple and straightforward to build and export customer segments as a marketer. If I run into issues, the ActionIQ team is responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, our internal systems aren't integrated well enough with each other right now to use the tool to its greatest potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're working towards having a better understanding of our customers, what they purchase, and utilizing that data to provide them more relevant content. We've built and tested use cases, but are currently snagged with internal system limitations that don't allow us to see the full picture and utilize it fully.

Very user friendly but rigid in certain data aspects

What do you like best about the product?
The User interface on this platform is extremely user friendly. Ease of use is one of the major things to like on this platform. Additionally the platform offers simple analytical insights specially with regards to views on overlapping audiences. These insights are pretty useful in coming up with potential alterations for marketing campaigns on what strategy is likely to work best with specific audiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the primary restrictions on this platform is that it doesn't easily allow configuration of multiple audience keys for the database. I find that very restrictive since it doesn't allow us to prepare campaigns in the manner most appropriate to the underlying data relevant for those campaigns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Part of the reason to implement AIQ was to provide simplistic analytics which would offer insight into how some of the key strategies are performing in the market. While there isn't a wide range of visual analytics that we have seen yet; I feel that the tool's overlapping audience analytical function allows us the capacity to make subtle alterations in our campaign goals while keeping the long term corporate strategy embedded.

AIQ offers a frictionless and intuitive integration pattern for Data Engineers

What do you like best about the product?
From the Data Engineering perspective our company was able to load millions of customer records into Action IQ from a variety of structured and semi-structured data sources in a matter of days. Prior to using AIQ, we had various data silos sitting across our Postgres, Hive and S3 data lake stores and each silo had its own access and integration patterns. AIQ provided a platform with which we could simply and intuitively integrate data from all of these various services. We simply pulled Parquet file snapshots from each of the sources on a daily basis into a shared S3 location and let AIQ do the rest. Since the data ingestion process into AIQ is mostly the same for each disparate data source, we wrote a simple ETL job in PySpark and were able to reuse the same script for all 5 of our distinct data sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was easy enough to pass data (in Parquet format) over to a shared S3 location for AIQ to pick up but, we lost some visibility into the general CDP integration process after this data was passed over. We needed some assistance initially from the AIQ engineering team to verify that the data we were sending over was being joined and upserted in their platform as expected. The AIQ engineers who assisted us were very knowledgeable about the inner workings of their integration platform and the data verification process (from our load to their ingest) went pretty smoothly after the initial round of technical debriefing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Action IQ offered us a single platform to collect millions of customer records from several of our siloed data sources and to combine those records in a meaningful and actionable way (from the marketing perspective). It would have taken our company several years to create an AIQ-type platform of our own so, letting a proven CDP vendor do that work for us made a lot of sense. After setting up the initial pipeline of batch loads from our data stores into AIQ's shared ingest location, I haven't had to do any work to maintain or alter those pipelines. As a result of this frictionless integration, I now have more time to work on challenging and value-driven data engineering problems that don't involve the automated transfer of customer data to a third party vendor.

What do you like best about the product?
The ActionIQ team is very helpful and responsive. The platform has modernized audience management which helps us reach more customers in a multi-channel, coordinated way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our use cases are sometimes not supported, however, ActionIQ has worked with us to find a solution for each one. The ActionIQ data model is built around contacts, and sometimes it causes a disconnection between the audience selection and the export.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to reach our customers through several channels (Multi-channel campaign execution). The automation of processes that used to be manual has been a huge benefit to our organization, and the ease of executing multi-channel campaigns has proven quite beneficial.

What do you like best about the product?
ActionIQ unifies customer records and generates customer master profiles, which builds a good foundation for any type of analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform has room to improve the flexibility of creating complex logic in variables and audiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very easy to build audiences for campaigns with simple logic and output PII to marketing channels.

What do you like best about the product?
As a marketer, I can build my own segments and trigger them without relying on IT to build everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
We didn't setup a very intuitive way to save all of our segments, and changing now seems like a monumental task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working toward a single view of our customer, but the business still needs to improve our own internal data. It's not there yet.

Powerful and Felxible CDP with Potential to Improve

What do you like best about the product?
Customizable to your company's tech stack and data requirements from an initial integration perspective, but also from an audience and segmentation perspective. You can connect multiple sources of data, a variety of other tools and leverage the powerful features (i.e. person-match) in your day-to-day within the tool and outside of the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are opportunities to improve the platform, while AIQ understands CDP's are not one-size-fits-all, having ready-made templates for audiences or basic reporting would take the tool to the next level. This would also alleviate some of the heavy lifting the client-side teams need to do in terms of creating audiences, variables or reporting dashboards from scratch. Being a flexible tool that is open to customization while overwhelmingly advantageous, also has disadvantages in the fact that it requires the necessary headcount and technical experience to implement properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A main use-case for CDP's is resolving multiple versions of customer profiles in a given database. AIQ has made resolving multiple accounts within our database easy through their person-match feature. Their person-match technology consolidates multiple versions of the same profile into a master AIQ profile. Through this, you can track their exposure to various omnichannel campaigns. This is also simplified through their regularly scheduled contact history export.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the experience layer. Setting up audiences, journeys, FP's is easy and intuitive. Also the ability to orchestrate an omnichannel experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data layer has very few tools available to troubleshoot any issues with the data. Especially when comparing with upstream applications
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ActionIQ is helping with orchestrating targeted experiences to specific customer segments via digital and human touch. This will result in improved adoption and retention.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of the tool is the ability to put a goal and/or results and associate it to the campaign so you can go to one place to see the overall results of the campaign from send information all the way to response.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the output variable development portion of the tool has room for more growth in flexibility. With the the industry moving towards a much more automated world, it would be great to have more flexibility in creating output fields and/or having more cloning features in that area as many areas require very customized outputs along with more coding flexibility so that this portion of the campaign build can be more efficient. Also would like more insight in profiling the variable values.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems we are solving is designing campaigns in such a way that they are more trackable now as our campaign lists and campaign execution journey's live in one place. Connections across systems are now being optimized.
