What do you like best about the product?
Their web interface. Highly usable, flexible and quick to load.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost prohibits us from expanding the services we use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our physician and location data, feeding this data to our website and pushing the information to various online services.

What do you like best about the product?
Yext is a great way to put the power of web listings into the franchise owners' hands, and streamline a lot of our processes at a corporate level as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
The "add entity" tool continues to change and I don't think it's the most intuitive in the place that it lives and the way that it works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With more than 800 franchise locations, managing online listings without Yext would not be possible. This really streamlines everything for us

What do you like best about the product?
When it comes to managing map listings. We use it for nearly all of our locations and it truly is the one-stop shop for all things maps!
What do you dislike about the product?
Its somewhat difficult to sell in the API when websites are reliant upon maintaining the YEXT contract to have their website function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing maps listings and gleaning insights from answers.

What do you like best about the product?
It's the easiest way to make sure that your directory listings are synced across all the major channels. And once synced, it's super simple to update across of them as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be a bit confusing and pricing isn't always clear. Also - contract renewals are automatic and at our last one, no notice was given that a charge was about to take place. Not a big deal for us since we planned to renew - but wasn't able to give our CFO a heads-up that the charge was coming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an agency, it's helping us ensure our client's name, address and phone are correct across all the major directories. It saves us time from manually claiming and updating them.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the level of detail and data with their product offering. I think the way in which they created the knowledge panel is a good mix of data visualization and clarity on actionable items. I also think their team members are certainly a plus as everyone I've interacted with has been great! This has changed the way our company handles reviews.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't dislike anything about yext. It would be nice if I could call in and speak to someone if having an issue. However, the support team does a great job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all of our reviews in one place and identifying trends and keyword sentiments.

Glitches, slow support, creates duplicates -- could be a lot better of a product

What do you like best about the product?
It's a product that a lot of our legal clients know about and want.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) Duplicates: Yext has created duplicates multiple times, support is always blaming the "publishers" that they use. Saying it's Brownbook's fault, Factual's fault, etc that a duplicate was created. Finally, one of the publishers told me it was in fact Yext's fault, instead of Yext taking ownership and updating the current listing on their platform, the publisher said they created a new one. Frustrating to say the least. One time it took me 3 years to update/remove duplicates from 20+ publishers with Yext support for ONE client. The client updated their DBA, and when I updated the name on the Yext platform Yext took that and created duplicates on 20+ of their listings. Instead of giving me one rep to knock it out, Yext support told me to create separate support tickets for each publisher, for this one client we had. It was exhausting, and a couple of times I had to switch reps because they weren't responding back to me or even helping resolve the issue. It seems all Yext is capable of is coming up with excuses to pass the blame elsewhere.
2) Support is slow: I've had to follow up on tickets multiple times after support lets it sit there for a month with zero response or follow-through. It's like support just waits and hopes I forget that I created a support ticket. Also, they never follow through, there have been times they toss the blame elsewhere (publisher's fault) or come up with some other excuse as to why they can't help me and then just close the ticket I created as if they solved it.
3) Real-time is a lie: The platform claims that they update listing's in real-time, but a rep admitted to me that certain listings can take a couple of days or so to update. I wish they didn't lie about their product.
4) Glitches: We've had instances where one of the clients in our console had their pictures on another client's Yelp (also in our same console). Not sure how it happened still but it was a huge fire for us to put out. Lately, I've experienced glitches with their template as well, and when I told our Yext rep, their response was "Well, that's what we have a technical team for, to solve these kinds of issues." Are we to expect more errors in the future? Not a comforting response. Yext keeps giving us fires to put out which is exhausting.
5) Past Yext Partner rep told us to go through the general support ticket channel, instead of helping us fix issues, they never escalated any issues for us. It was a disaster. I would email him directly and all he did would point me in the direction of support and tell me to create a ticket. Had no idea what his job was then since he provided us zero support for a year or two. Our new rep is better now thankfully, even though they took forever to get back to me on an issue we had recently.
6) We tried Whitespark, we had hoped it'd be a better alternative to Yext but it wasn't. We wish there could be another alternative to Yext, one with better support and fewer problems, but Yext is all there is. So just hoping in the future it'll become a better product...but from what I hear they are short-staffed so I'm not sure.

It's a product that a lot of our legal clients know about and want if they don't have it already.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Yext has a lot of resources so that users can better understand and navigate the platform. It empowers people to be able to manage their own content.
What do you dislike about the product?
full disclosure: I'm still getting acquainted with the platform so some issues might be a part of my learning curve/experience. there is a LOT of content to navigate from the dashboard. I feel it would be helpful if pages had links to Hitchhikers-related training pages or pop-up FAQs or Help features for the particular page you are currently on. I've definitely had Hitchhikers and other pages open at the same time to assist in my navigation of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The retail locator and review features are 2 items that we are currently benefitting from. Being able to track, monitor and review reviews from one single platform has been a great improvement instead of trying to manage several different accounts.
