Skillsurvey - Making the Reference Check process so much easier!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of completing references, the sourcing tool, the survey option.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't an integration with our ATS yet. Not necessarily Skillsurveys fault. But hopefully, something that is available in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skillsurvey makes the entire reference check process so much easier and is also organizing the references so that we have the option to go back to them as potential hires.
Great ATS
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user-friendly. It is accommodating for our ever-growing company. We like that we can use many integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside to iCIMS is the limitation it has on scheduled reports and filtering on them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I really don't have any at this time.
Robust system to manage & track more than just applicants
What do you like best about the product?
I like all the options it offers. It can be a LOT, but if you spend the time up front to make it what you need, it pays dividends down the road.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting is like 7 or 8 out of 10. There's a LOT of great reporting, but it's not as "intuitive" as you'd think - there are a lot of limitations by search type.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to iCIMS, every recruiter managed candidates in their own desktop folders, and we manually posted jobs to all sites. We're way more streamlined now!

What do you like best about the product?
The system is easy to use, and one of the best features is how customizable the system is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used to love the fact that you could call into the help desk and speak to someone right away, I truly dislike that now everything becomes a ticket.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to text a candidate is fantastic.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please bring back live support staff when you call into the help desk. It feels like it takes a while to get someone to respond to the ticket and most times I just need to talk through some questions versus email them. It makes it really hard to try and email details because sometimes a question pops up during a discussion and you can't always type out everything into a help ticket. SUGGESTION: If there is an option while creating a help ticket to provide some available times for someone to call you, that would be an option that could expedite a call.

Skill Survey has saved our company so much time with reference checks. It makes the reference process smooth!
What do you dislike about the product?
Entry-level candidates sometimes don't have a lot of references, so those are hard sometimes to do with this platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Our HR team no longer has to worry about calling and playing phone tag with prospective employees references. Such a huge time saver!
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have the software integrated into our existing ATS to eliminate the manual input of each employee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to get references timely which has helped us gather more helpful information about the potential new hire earlier on in the interview and selection process.
Simple, Unbiased Reference Platform
What do you like best about the product?
SkillSurvey allows us to collect reference data and feedback in a simple format that is scalable across the organization. The reference data is usually completed within one to two business days and contains relevant insight into the positions we hire. SkillSurvey's platform eliminates the potential for bias or inflection.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process for entering references and then ensuring consent has been gathered can sometimes slow down the process. The benchmarking tool is helpful if you are considering multiple candidates for one position, but when you're hiring one at a time, it doesn't provide as much insight. You can get more detail when speaking verbally with a reference and are able to further probe and ask follow-up questions, which you cannot do with the automated platform. Again, this eliminates potential bias or wrong-doing in the reference process but may not include as much information as a hiring manager may want to see.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of the process through SkillSurvey is key. It saves our recruiters time calling and scheduling reference checks and allows those providing references to answer at their leisure. The ability to provide a concise overview of the reference and benchmarking is helpful and unbiased.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For an organization that hires more than a handful of employees each month, SkillSurvey provides a great platform and solution to automate an outdated process, eliminate bias and provide data to benchmark all hires. For organizations that do not have volume hiring, you still get the added benefits of a streamlined reference process but may not find that it is not worth the cost.
Super Easy Reference Check Process
What do you like best about the product?
SkillSurvey makes reference checks quick and easy for both the prospective employee and their references. We like that prospective employees have the ability to submit their references when they are ready, and the references do not have to wait around for a phone call. We are able to establish templates and questions for specific positions that we feel are most relevant to the position hired for.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SkillSurvey allows us to review references anonymously and cross-reference each references' feedback to ensure consistency. Managers of the prospective employee are also able to review the candidate reports.
Excellent for onboarding tracking

I love the delegate tool inside the requisitions for marking off onboarding tasks

The inability to sort by status in the req list

Ability to constantly share where a candidate is at with onboarding with recruiters and hiring managers through icims

There are multiple correct ways to do the same task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Figuring out which variable populates what can be frustrating as well as when the variables do not work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seamless recruitment process from start to finish. Easy to use, letting me focus less on figuring out the software and more on doing my job.

You can't really go wrong with it.
