It's a game-changer!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro excels at managing macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices. The automated workflows for device enrollment are a significant time-saver. With zero-touch deployment, we can prepare devices for users before they even receive them, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback of Jamf Pro is the inability to retain a device's historical data after it has been wiped and re-enrolled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The app deployment process is incredibly efficient. With a vast library of available applications and the ability to manage custom in-house apps, we can easily push updates and new installations to all users. The software also integrates seamlessly with the Apple App Store, making it easy to keep everything up to date.
Continues to be the gold standard
What do you like best about the product?
Their support is the best of the MDM's that I've used
What do you dislike about the product?
Double edged sword, as with their expansions to things like Connect and Protect, some common feature requests I feel get lost in the Jamf Pro pipelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zero Day Support
Jamf is a Great MDM
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspects of JAMF include being able to manage multiple device types, send commands, setup smart/static groups, enrollment methods, remote capabilities, security, and overall ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
A minor nitpick I have are how it doesn't automatically set up the time according to your region and how it requires a certain setup before you can search for devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is heling us better track our devices by showing their locations along with last check in.
Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is the standard, in my opinion, for management of Apple devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they'd modernize the 'Restrictions' payload for configuration profiles, split it out to decrease overlaping settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro lets me manage and configure macOS and iOS devices. OS updates, 3rd party software installs/updates, and device encryption all handled by jamf.
Best software in its arena
What do you like best about the product?
Its an all-in-one application that helps us keep all of our mac devices up to date and manage all of the applications on the computer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could be better for sure. If you have not used Jamf previously, it can be a little too much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing all of the devices in our fleet and manage who owns the devices.
JAMF Pro for iPad Management
What do you like best about the product?
JAMF Pro has been essential for my team to manage a fleet of iPads being used in medical facilities throughout the state of Colorado. Given the senstive nature of data and the broad geographic scope of facility locations, JAMF Pro has been instrumental in being able to manage these iPads quickly and with the appropriate security requirements from various governing bodies. Setting up the server was intuitive enough that even someone without prior experience can get up and running quickly. I use JAMF Pro on a regular basis, and it fits seemlessly in our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
While JAMF Pro has much to like, one downside is that not all functionality can be managed or controlled remotely. I know JAMF continuously updates functionality with each new release, and the company is actively engaged with the user community. Being part of the community and knowing the company takes feedback seriously helps with bringing those desired changes to reality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF Pro allows me to apply a set of restrictions to our iPads that meet the standards of regulatory agencies, while giving my team the ability to manage the devices remotely and quickly.
Enterprise Management Simplified with Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the granularity that Jamf Pro offers, allowing me to deploy on a large scale or to specific individuals, which is crucial at an enterprise level. Setting it up was straightforward, aided by helpful guides and a supportive Mac admin community. The app installers and features like blueprints and declarative device management keep my fleet compliant efficiently. The support level and active community are impressive, making it significantly easier to find help and share experiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would streamline feature requests more, along with certain support tasks, to make it easier to get in touch with people or obtain specific support. It can sometimes take a day or two to get support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jamf Pro for device management, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, and benefiting from granular deployment capabilities and robust community support.
MDM engineer
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the product is great, making configuring within the tool a good experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not really a Jamf Pro issue but more of an Apple not allowing control of certain functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing yet but it will start solving things soon
Managing Macs is suddenly easier than managing Windows
What do you like best about the product?
I love the amount of customization that Jamf Pro provides, and how, once groups are established, most things just work. Ever since using Apple School Manager along with Jamf, the control we have is extremely granular, hands-off, and applies quickly. When we receive a new computer, we can have it fully set up and ready for the end user in under twenty minutes, with very little work from our techs. Being able to use custom triggers and call those triggers from another script leads to very controlled and predictable workflows. Jamf customer support is fantastic, too. They always respond quickly and teach me how to better use the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of my complaints about Mac management have to do with Apple, not Jamf Pro, such as how it's impossible to remotely allow screen recording for classroom computers.
For Jamf though, the only thing that bothers me is that I can't "push a script" in the same way that I can on Windows. It's a little frustrating to be on the phone with a customer and say, "I've scoped you to a policy that should fix this. Wait fifteen minutes and call me back." "It's been two hours and you still can't work? Oopsie, guess I'll head over in person." I wish there were a management command that triggered a "jamf policy" check.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Almost every aspect of Mac management is covered by Jamf Pro. Remote access and privilege elevation aren't quite there yet, but having so much control over configuration and policies is fantastic. Before Jamf, we couldn't imagine a world where managing Macs was easier than PCs, but now that's a reality. We're deploying Macs quickly and keeping a great user experience.
Great product that helps our org in every way.
