Incredible Modeling, Analysis, and Visualization Experience
What do you like best about the product?
I think Omni is the next-generation analytics, modeling, and visualization tool. It supports users who are new to SQL to analytics experts. It pairs incredibly well with dbt to provide a centralized source for analysis for our whole company.
I love the automatic schema update feature. When we create a new model in dbt, Omni automatically pulls it in with the correct dimensions and even takes a shot at predicting how it should be joined to other models. The break between Topics (Explores in Looker) and how models are joined is a 10/10 feature and saves us a ton of time in the modeling stage. Users who need an on-the-rails experience get it. Users who know how to do custom joins, measures, and dimensions get them. They can even promote their customizations to the main model so everyone can benefit in a really low-friction way.
The support we've received from the Omni team has been truly incredible. Their customer service alone is a reason to switch. Every time we've needed help (even if it's just folks new to SQL who need a hand) the team has responded in minutes. If we find a bug, it's usually fixed in nothing flat. If we need a feature, we often see them add it within hours or days -- not weeks.
Before you spin up anything else, give Omni a shot. It's worth it.

Omni is a new product and sometimes I find myself reaching for something that I would expect in a more seasoned platform and find it missing. However, every time that's happened the Omni team has met our need with a first-class feature in hours or days. They're an incredible team and it's been amazing working with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni is our central source for tracking our product metrics, user attribution, and company financials. It's our one-stop-shop for all things analytics at Prefect.

Omni is in their early stages and has some ground to cover to get to full feature parity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni is making it easier than ever to build models, explore data, and answer questions. I save time and get better answers compared to the competition.
Powerful BI Backed by a Great Team
What do you like best about the product?
The Omni team is hands-on and highly receptive to our needs. Onboarding was a positive experience and the platform is saving us tons of operational time and energy. We are very pleased!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of our desired features are currently "in progress", but they have been very responsive to our feedback and transparent about their product goals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni has significantly improved the efficiency of our data analysis and modeling, making it easier to uncover insights and produce strong deliverables for our clients.
Flexibility & precision analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to learn & use while allowing for unlimited flexibility to create the dashboards and reports that our teams need.

While the platform is growing quickly, there can sometimes be features that their team needs to help set up or a small timeframe to wait for specific features/

Hitting all the Right Notes
What do you like best about the product?
As a self-qualified Looker "Guru", I was very excited to play with Omni, a tool created by a super smart crew of Ex-Lookers.
Omni takes the semantic layer modelling approach to BI and democratises it even further. It combines Looker's code-based modelling layer approach with the Self-Service Workbooks of Tableau, empowering a wider variety of users to consume and improve the model without falling into the pitfall of complexity creep.
The experience is smooth and responsive, and the underlying caching seems to do a decent job of ensuring consistent performance across Dashboards with many queries.
Stack: Snowflake.

Omni is a young tool; it may take a little time before it reaches full feature parity with some more established BI solutions out there. But the foundations are there and the vision is evident.

Omni helps us deliver reporting at a fast pace and ensure that end users are able to self-serve and consume dashboards efficiently. It enables a wide variety of profiles to work with data while not having an established data function yet.
