Effortless Setup and Enhanced Project Transparency
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how IBM Maximo Application Suite has improved my project management by enabling me to manage and track sprints effectively. The tools like boards, workflows, and reports are excellent for keeping the team aligned and enhancing transparency across projects. These features significantly contribute to smoother project coordination and communication. Additionally, I found the initial setup process of the software extremely straightforward and user-friendly, akin to applying butter on bread, which made the whole transition seamless. Overall, the ease of use and comprehensive project management capabilities of IBM Maximo Application Suite stand out to me.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate IBM Maximo Application Suite as a unified, integrated platform that offers robust maintenance and work management capabilities. The platform enhances my control over the entire work order lifecycle. I find the enterprise-grade capabilities for asset management and operations optimization particularly beneficial, as they support the comprehensive management of physical assets, from equipment and facilities to fleets and infrastructure. The system significantly helps in reducing unplanned downtime by addressing fragmented asset data and providing centralized visibility, which are crucial for efficient operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I encounter high levels of unplanned downtime, which disrupts operational efficiency. The software's limited mobile access is problematic for field technicians who require on-the-go functionality. Additionally, the complexity of configuration and administration can be daunting. Setting up workflows, security, data structures, and integrations often demands specialized knowledge, posing challenges for smaller teams or organizations without dedicated Maximo administrators. This complexity can slow down adoption and increase dependency on external consultants. Although cloud deployments simplify the process, the initial setup still ranges from moderate to complex.

I use IBM Maximo Application Suite to consolidate fragmented asset data and gain centralized visibility, reducing unplanned downtime and enhancing control over the work order lifecycle.

IBM Maximo is a robust and reliable tools for asset and maintenance management. The AI insights IoT integration and cloud accessibility greatly improve efficiency and reduce downtime

Stetup and customization can be time-consuming and the interface could be more user-friendly for beginners

Problems with mobile apps which are usual with new releases

We have better insight on all our assets. It is easier to plan and execute the work.

Too much whitespace and bloat with every major upgrade. Maximo needs to be smaller

Accounting for my inventory usage as well as charging the part cost to work orders and then th assets on those work orders

Maximo is the best in class suite available for Asset Life Cycle Management. It is powerful, flexible and configurable as per the business process.

I miss Maximo all users in a cloud. Maximo.com

Support with strategic and tactical asset management
Maximo is a highly capable platform that requires thought and governance

Highly configurable product with tremendous out of the box capability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of guidance from IBM about industry specific best practices for how to configure the application to best leverage it at scale. Organization has to go through growing pains over years to refine approaches through trial and error.

Integrated asset and work management solution for our power generation fleet.
Maximo trainer since 2007, worked with 50+ different organizations using the Maximo and MAS8 & MAS9.

I love to see the data our users can get out of it!

Every major version release changes the interface. This is difficult for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MAS9 has so many great new features that allow the organizations to only use the IBM tools and not need add-ons anymore.

It is user friendly and can be configured to do almost anything you want it to do.

It's a little pricey and the app points can be confusing.

We keep track of our assets, the maintenance on them, and all the asset history.
