Alerting capabilities are comprehensive and ensure my business does not experience any outages
What do you dislike about the product?
The frequent email alerts can at times be cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of business interuptions.
The support team and account managers have been extremely helpful.
What do you like best about the product?
the support team has been very helpful and timely when we need them.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have some problems with the technology we use vs how licensing works going into the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
General monitoring of resources in our legacy environment and some cloud resources.
Great experience from initial engagement to rollout and running day to day
What do you like best about the product?
A modern and intuitive tool, that is light-years ahead of what we are replacing. Can support a wide range of skill sets from those that non-technical through to developers. Everyone that has interacted with it and used it has become a fan. With the out-of-the-box modules, we've often found issues that we didn't know existed before. The ability to adapt and tune it quickly, drop down into collectors to troubleshoot, and throw custom scripts to monitor something that is unique to our environment...all from a browser window, without having to drop into a development environment or even a shell (unless you want to) . Context-based help integrated in, and customer support that is top notch and willing to jump into a zoom to help you through a problem while you are working on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they had better support for legacy monitoring that requires the use of SNMP traps. No one likes dealing with traps, and SNMP traps need to be replaced with more modern mechanisms ASAP, but they are an unfortunate reality that is often required at least in the near-term and during migration from other platforms. Not having good capabilities here makes dealing with legacy applications and hardware adds friction to migration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to primarily monitor out network and infrastructure components. We are using it to modernize our monitoring capabilities, allowing centralized monitoring while also allowing individual SMEs and teams to customize and improve visibility as we go.
Very impressed so far
What do you like best about the product?
quick to configure and provides the level of monitoring we're looking for. From what I can see it also scales very quickly without a lot of over head.
What do you dislike about the product?
we seem to be having a lot of meetings and wasted time. our current sales team is not technical enough in my option. We have to wait for days to receive answers to technical questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we have several gaps in our current monitoring solution. we're hoping to fill those gaps with LogicMonitor.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would absolutely recommend LogicMonitor. We're currently using nagios, zabbix and nimsoft and we're hoping to replace those monitoring tools with LogicMonitor.
Excellent value for product
What do you like best about the product?
One flexible Dashboard. Easy implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing i haven't seen that we dislike thus far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized Dashboard and alerting of our global infrastructure
Solid Monitoring Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Been using LogicMonitor for a couple of years and have had a favorable opinion of the product. Have recommended LogicMonitor to many different folks over the years. I believe LogicMonitor to be our strongest tool we use (and we have many being a MSP).
Many out of the box datasources work well if you're configured for SNMP. There's also: Site Monitors (internal and external), extensive script customization. chat support is quick and supportive (no need to fill out super long emails/forms to get support). Also "LM Logs" is a nice new feature. Additionally the development of LogicMonitor is continuous. Once you have LogicMonitor configured you wont have to do much for your organization. At most you might need to run through your change control to determine if you want to import the updated datasources; that's about the only manual intervention the product needs.
Overall LogicMonitor is a solid product that is worth checking out even if you are happy with your current monitoring tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
GUI updates are inconsistent and sometimes a step backwards, documentation could be a little more friendly to a beginner. The voice robot that calls during alerts could benefit from sounding better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring/alerting of devices in production environments. Benefits include accurate alerting and SLAs for production environments being met.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Receive a free demo from either LogicMonitor or a reseller, only requires a collector installed on a device (Windows required for WMI calls other devices) and give it a go.
Unique tool, I know whats going on with my netwok 24 /7
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is very clear and give you a lot of info of whats happening within your network. Uptimes are valuable info when users say they were not able to work due to downtimes. LogicMonitor gives me enough info to challange those claims. Additionaly The alets give me enough information to determine the impact of the issue before calls start rolling in. This way I can prioritize depending on how critical it is to the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
A remote access tool would be a show stopper from troubleshooting. If we had the abilityt to remote to servers switches and roouters from this tool it would definetly be the go to tool instead of using aditional tools for this. Sometimes I find it hard to sort out through all the information. Not sure if I really need to know how the fans are in a router or the temperture ofthe equipment. If there was a way of setting a default to simple networking trouble shooting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Know whats going on and were for remote monitoring of the network. With the tool can prioritize issues and focus on the main issues first. I know when they happen and were. THis way I can sort out my day of troubleshooting the network. Definetly a great source of info about my network. We have a pretty big presence in multiple cityes around the US and have a limited amount of IT staff. This tools can point me in the right direction when things dont work correctly.
Its been a great experience!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simple dashboard we use to monitor all the devices. Easy to see everything in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have anything to dislike about Logic Monitor at the moment. It has been all positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can view live monitoring of all my devices and like the alert it generates on the dashboard.
Systems monitoring made easy for a novice!
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor is my first in-depth experience with a third party systems-monitoring tool and the while the setup takes a little to get used to, once you've entered several systems, the process becomes simple. The best thing about LM is that we can monitor almost any device/stat within our system from servers, switches and routers to websites. Being able to see everything from the view of the dashboard has made for a simple workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there are so many things to monitor, it can take a bit to "master" setup and tuning to your specific needs.
Have difficulty excluding certain Windows events from monitoring on Windows server environments.
As with most things in a business setting, cost is always one of the first things to be weighed against a tool's features and as it goes with most enterprise solutions, the cost of subscription continues to rise.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to monitor our network infrastructure as well as see all metrics on VMs within vCenter, all within the same dashboard. The ability to customize the dashboard has made for a simple workflow.
The time to check each system for issues has reduced labor hours and allowed for more time to be spent on deployment and testing.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give this product a look if you are in the market for monitoring your network and system devices. If you're looking for an "all in one" package, LM could be the answer.
Great monitoring platform with endless flexibility!
What do you like best about the product?
I love having multiple collectors across the country monitoring devices close to it. Our prior platform was a single server in our datacenter. We get more accurate/faster alerts with this model. Also being cloud based and being able to login from anywhere is very helpful. I don't have to get my laptop out and vpn in just to see the dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The root cause analysis feature needs more work to be useful. I often get many email alerts about a site being down when only an alert the mpls router is unreachable will do. Being this is a new feature i assume it will get better with time and updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being alerted with timely and detailed emails helps us respond to issues faster. We are able to detailed metrics for our mpls circuits. Netflow data is very valuable. We can notify the helpdesk if someone is moving large amounts of data and slowing down the network for others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend the time to fully think out what/how/how often you want things monitored. There are many layers to the platform and its easy to get lost in the process.
