Simple to use with complex, advanced possibilities and incredible support

What do you like best about the product?
Getting assistance from someone knowledgable is easy. From quick config questions to complex custom datasources, we've been able to get someone on chat or email in a short amount of time. They even have the ability to help build custom datasources, and help adjust current datasources. We've been able to through a few unique use-cases at them that got their team excited and involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
No good mobile web-UI nor app. Responding to an email or SMS is easy and does the job, but being able to view a graph or dashboard on a phone while remote would be a huge improvement. Even just a mobile version of the website would be helpful. Some additional color themes would be cool for dashboards, but aren't a deal-breaker. They're working on connections, so that, for example, a switch going down doesn't trigger an alert for every device connected to that switch...once that topology is fully developed, this will be unstoppable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're getting early warnings that something may be wrong, and are able to inform the correct person(s) before waking up an entire team. We cycle through multiple dashboards and can easily spot anomalies. The dashboards have given us a quick glance, while the ability to look at previous data helps us view long-term trends.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of any setup assistance they provide, as it can be a huge help figuring out what is possible. There are lots of ways to fine-tune thresholds and alerting channels. Consider using the API to adjust on-call rotations.

Theres really not that much to dislike with LogicMonitor

Automated alerting of customer equipment
It allows us to respond to issues before the customer realises something is broken

What do you like best about the product?
The network monitoring beats some other more expensive products on the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the menus don't suit me but that is down to the individual user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wide distributed network with many nodes that were previously not monitored.

What do you like best about the product?
Love the tuning capability and the number of devices it can monitor
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike! At the moment we've had lot's of great feedback

We have a lot of cloud infrastructure which needs monitoring, and LM has satisfied this need tremendously

What do you like best about the product?
The setup of the platform is really quick and easy which means you can have it setup in the basic form very fast. if you want to do the more advanced monitoring you can use the free training to get up to speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
the right click of objects in the GUI was taken away, this should be brought back to make the UI faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as a monitoring solution for a managed service for custoers which enables us to have a great service to offer

reporting is limited. Would like to see the ability to create reports in a Word doc or something similar

What do you like best about the product?
The usability of the interface makes for an easy experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
No python support, only groovy. You will need to learn this for more than the basic monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Would have quicker setups if the language was python.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be aware that you can not use python to script different datapoints, only groovy.

What do you like best about the product?
Great customization features as well as integration with most major ticketing platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting leaves a lot to be desired.

LogicMonitor has given us the ability to monitor numerous sites around the world and automate a number of our responses to incidents.

What do you like best about the product?
-Good support.
-Nice tree format for grouping devices.
-Custom datasources.
-Great for our environment with thousands of monitored devices
-Remote-ing into collector is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
-Fairly steep learning curve for our new users.
-Sometimes logic monitor will pull too much data for it's own good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Logic monitor to monitor over 1000 devices and it is our core IT product. Although, it may wake us up in the night, it saves us the trouble in the morning.
