Most affordable and easy SaaS based platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy of administration. I've been an admin for LogicMonitor for 3 years. Our customers like the visibility that we have into all their devices and it's integrated into our ticket platform. Were able to proactively solve customers issues before they get out of hand. We can also provide decent reporting to our customers as well in our monthly meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating custom data sources can be complex and required for many devices. The API changed and now many of our integrations are now broken. There is an issue with custom reporting, we need more ability to do the reporting we use for our stewardship's and their custom reports are beta and could be removed at any point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a managed service department so we can provide customers with a great SaaS experience by proactively finding and alerting them of issues before they get too problematic
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great if your willing to put the time into making custom data sources for your customers, make sure that during an on boarding you have all the data up front, you have plenty of time to test to make sure the right data is being received. If you use Connectwise or ServiceNow it has good integration between them and makes automation even easier.
Best of the best
What do you like best about the product?
Pricing and monitoring capabilities. Nothing can beat a single price for a single device.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be too steep until you onboard enough devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time and uneeded messages from person to another 'what's going on with our systems?'
Quick to set up, and enough training on the site to get your hands dirty
What do you like best about the product?
Logic Monitor is really easy to get up and running and start to monitor most common platforms straight away. Also there are ample training courses made available and even qualifications so you can get really in depth knowledge on how to monitor the most complicated of systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The best part is also the worst, as you will need to complete the training before you will be able to use the more complicated custom datasources for monitoring which would be nice if some of this could be automated by the system moving forward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for our internal on premise infrastructure and cloud applications and as an MSP we also use it to monitor our customers systems also.
Monitoring made easy
What do you like best about the product?
The initial configuration is fairly straight forward. Adding additional nodes to be monitored is very quick and easy which is a winner for me. Agentless monitoring saves a lot of hassle, especially in environments which have grown quickly but lack network/OS management required to enable seemless agent deployment required in other products.
The dashboards are simple to set up and customising them is very easy.
Integration with our service desk is a great benefit for automated ticket opening, updates and closures.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've used an alternative product for over 10 years, so transitioning to the LogicMonitor interface was a bit of a learning curve. Initially it didn't feel very intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proactive monitoring and alerting to identify possible issues before they hit the business. Precisely what you need from a monitoring product. We can clearly see any active alerts and ongoing issues.
Working for an MSP, the simple deployment solves a lot of issues we would normally encounter

Logicmonitor, it just works!
What do you like best about the product?
Out of the box it works really well with minimal tweaking, I really like the custom dashboards that can be created which help us to visualize our systems. It also works very well with when monitoring lots of different environments and the access based role control allows to delegate permissions effectively. The support and training has been very helpful and I've gone on to pass my LMCP exam so I am now a qualified LogicMonitor Expert
What do you dislike about the product?
For a novice it takes a little while to find certain options, like entering usernames and passwords. The reporting function could also do with a little work but nothing major. Overall its a great product that is hard to fault
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We monitor many customers environments as an MSP and it helps is to be proactive rather than reactive. We are monitoring everything in our environment such as servers, network switches, firewalls, routers, VMs, applications, websites, databases. We use it across different systems such as VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2008R2 and also Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Suse, KDE.

Functional and powerful solution
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor works from day one, clear dashboards show an overview allowing us to see the status of our customers' networks at a glance. If a more granular view is needed then it is simple to drill down into the data or to create further dashboards that are accessible with a couple of clicks.
The support from the LM team has also been fantastic, helping us out with datasources and other useful advice.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike about LogicMonitor, but the frustration with scripts is probably one. That is more to do with my background as opposed to the platform though, so this will hopefully improve the more I do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An overview of multiple customers, multiple vendors, and multiple resources on a single screen with the ability to respond and resolve quicker then ever.
