A good resource for finding the right software

Meaningful reviews that often delve into specifics of workflow and day to day. use. Since the reviews are from working individuals, they are far more useful and direct than other reviews I've found online.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reviews are very short and seem to be just to get the rewards. The AI integration leads to generic and "slop-like" wording.

Invaluable Resource for Software Decision-Making
What do you like best about the product?
I use G2.com to research, compare and review different software tools before making decisions. I like that G2.com helps me understand real user experiences, product features, pricing, and overall performance. I appreciate the access to real user reviews and detailed feedback about different software tools. The platform makes it easy to compare products, understand their key features, and see how they perform based on actual user experiences. The clear rating system and filters that allow me to view reviews based on industry, company size, or specific use cases are incredibly useful. Additionally, I enjoy the clean and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to navigate through different software categories and find relevant information quickly. I also find the comparison features very helpful because they allow me to evaluate multiple tools side by side. Furthermore, I like that the platform encourages verified and detailed reviews, which increases the reliability and trustworthiness of the information shared by the community. The initial setup of G2.com was also very easy and straightforward, creating an account and getting started on the platform took only a few minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that could be improved on G2.com is the review approval and moderation process, which can sometimes take longer than expected. Clearer feedback about why a review might be rejected or delayed would help reviewers improve their submissions. Additionally, some product pages could benefit from more detailed and in-depth reviews, as a few reviews tend to be very short and don't provide enough practical insight for users who are trying to evaluate software solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use G2.com to research, compare, and review software tools, which helps me understand real user experiences and make informed decisions. It solves the challenge of choosing the right software by offering real user reviews, ratings, and comparisons, saving time and improving decision-making.

Easy to Use for Finding and Comparing Product Reviews
What do you like best about the product?
G2 is so easy to use! I'm able to sort through reviews and read about other products I may have not heard of. It's nice to be able to learn more about different products and how they have benefited others who use them.

I do not dislike anything about G2 Profile and Reviews.

G2 Profile and Reviews allow me to learn more about so many products and services that I want to know more about. They also introduce me to new products that may help me.
Great for product feedback and reputation management, but hard to generate reviews
What do you like best about the product?
Using G2 to generate reviews for our product allows us to gather insightful feedback from users, boost our product reputation, and maintain visibility against competitors. I like how easy the self-service aspect of requesting a review campaign is. Paying for the enhanced profile allows us to add additional details and resources to educate users about our product, and creates a nicely branded landing page for our product. I like the new Solutions pages a lot too - they let us go a little bit deeper to align our products to our key personas. The G2 platform is very easy to use, both from the back-end and front-end. And I like checking out the competitive grid and seeing how our product and customer feedback compares to competitors. Our G2 representatives have always been very nice and easy to work with as well, and I appreciate how G2 is always evolving to try to meet the needs of their customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we were able to create campaigns ourselves - it can be a bit of a pain to have to engage G2 and wait on them just to create or adjust the campaigns/landing pages/incentive amounts. Similarly, while there is a lot we can customize on our profile, I wish we had more control over the naming of our page and organization. For example, we recently went through an acquisition and had to change our organization and product names - it was a pain and took a few weeks of back-and-forth communication to get G2 to update the name of our product, company, and product description accurately. It would have been much easier and would have saved me a lot of time if I had been able to make those simple changes myself. Also, I feel it's important to note that while they offer strategic advice, they really don't do much to help us generate reviews. The effort is entirely on us (which is fine, but important to note for expectation management). It can be really difficult to generate the number of reviews required to maintain our score/ranking before the review value starts to depreciate, even though we incentivize the review generation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
G2 is an easy way to help us solicit product feedback from our users. It's also a great platform to showcase our product and maintain visibility against competitors.
G2.com is the gold standard for B2B trust and product intelligence
What do you like best about the product?
One of the things I appreciate most about G2 is the scale and transparency it brings to the SaaS buying process. Today, almost every product claims to be “AI-powered” or “industry-leading.” Having a platform where real users share honest experiences makes a big difference. Reviews tied to LinkedIn profiles and verified business emails add an extra level of trust. It feels more accountable and credible compared to many other review platforms.
I also find the Grid and comparison features very helpful when evaluating different tools. Being able to quickly see how products compare in terms of ease of use, customer support, or overall satisfaction based on actual user feedback saves a lot of time. Instead of relying only on sales pitches or marketing materials, you get a clearer picture of what using the product is really like. From a B2B perspective, that kind of social proof is incredibly valuable and often helps move conversations forward faster.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to point out one downside to G2, it would be that the review process can sometimes feel lengthy. I understand the reason behind it; the detailed questions are what make the insights valuable. However, it does take time to write a thorough review. When you have multiple tasks to handle throughout the day, finding 10 to 15 minutes can feel like a significant commitment.
Another small issue is that the increasing number of categories and sub-categories can sometimes make navigation feel cluttered, especially when you’re trying to find a very specific or niche solution. A cleaner browsing experience, particularly on mobile, would make quick research or comparisons easier. Still, these are minor concerns compared to the overall value the platform offers.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, G2 helps close the trust gap that often exists in the software buying process. Before I commit to demos or contracts, I can get a real idea of a product by reading honest feedback from people in similar industries or company sizes. It feels like having access to multiple reference calls without needing to schedule them.
From a day-to-day workflow perspective, it saves a lot of time. Instead of sitting through several sales pitches to understand a product’s limitations, I can often spot common strengths and challenges directly through user reviews. This helps me enter conversations better prepared and focus on the features that really matter for our use case. In the long run, it leads to more confident decisions, better ROI, and far fewer situations where you feel like you made the wrong purchase.
