A Great Platform for Brand Awareness and Positioning
What do you like best about the product?
I like the grid reports and the ability to use them the widgets on our marketing collateral and landing pages. Same goes for the badges.
The ability to add funds to the G2 wallet makes it easier for us to generate more reviews over time, and the review snapshots and quotes as well as reference pages help us consolidate the reviews in a meaningful way to make more sense for our customers.
Our account managers have always been very proactive with any and all requests trying to help us out whenever possible.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are quarterly reports and the current report feels outdated the moment the next quarter report is out, this makes it a tedious process to keep updating collateral with the latest badges and content.
Though G2 is great for brand visibility and awareness, there haven't been many direct inquiries from the platform.
As category builders, we have struggled with category alignment over time, but recently that was solved by G2.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps people do their research on products before making the purchase decision. In cases when people have not heard of a product, G2 becomes a place for them to see it for the first time as well as learn how other users feel about it.
G2 also helps build credibility for the products, a G2 badge can give people a sense of assurance when choosing a product.

Campaigns sometimes struggle to yield meaningful results.

Ensuring that my company is receiving external validation for the services/products provided.

What do you like best about the product?
G2 is one of the first places that prospective buyers travel to when looking for some third part validation of a product they are interested in. This makes it valuable to optimize your profile here to the fullest extent. I like how there are options to showcase videos, free trials, and other properties your product offers. It's easy to use and have had only good experiences with the customer support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
While some of the advertising services may function as 'billboard plays', our team didn't feel it was worth it to spend the amount that we did on certain ads.

Helping customers find us and help them understand where we rate against competitors.

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many different capabilities and features that we haven't even utilized all of. G2 easily allows us to gather customer reviews, share content with internal team, and create marketing content to share with customers.

Some areas in the tool are not as intuitive.

What do you like best about the product?
G2 has been a helpful tool in raising awareness in our scheduling program. We have been able to utilize the badges and reviews to assist in marketing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say there are many downsides when it comes to using the free version...going past that with the pro version is quite expensive and we weren't able to justify it. There could be features we needed to utilize more to drive more leads

What do you like best about the product?
G2 has been a valuable partner in driving leads to our site and helping us improve our visibility. Their team is incredibly communicative and proactive, offering insightful suggestions to optimize our presence on the platform. Thanks to their support, we’ve achieved the #1 spot in our category, which has significantly boosted our credibility and engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area for improvement, however, is the process of adding new categories. It can be challenging to find the minimum amount of companies that would also want to rank in that category, which sets us back in expanding visibility on the platform.

What do you like best about the product?
The customer support is excellent, and the effort our customer success manager has made in order to ensure we make the most of our subscription has been very welcome.

I think the price for some extra features is a little high, and the pricing generally is not very friendly to smaller businesses who need G2 to compete with bigger competitors.

G2 helps us to collect and manage reviews on a trusted and well-known platform, and also to benchmark our own reputation against our competitors.
Setting an industry standard and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
G2's solutions are easy to use. Configuring your product's profile, gathering reviews, and pulling analytics are well designed for a self-serve user. Even at the basic level, there's plenty of value for a software marketer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to dislike. If you expect tons of leads to click through to your site you'll be wrong, but you can get targeted traffic, you're just reaching people at the level of consideration, before they're ready to engage with a vendor.

As one of the first solutions in our space, we're the OGs. But, although that's an easy thing to say about ourselves, it only has credibility if it's something customers say about us. G2 gives us a forum to allow our customers to speak to the market.
