A Marketer's Silver Bullet

What do you like best about the product?
It's the age of the customer, let's face it. Which means as marketers we must embrace the voice of our customers to build brand and drive demand. G2Crowd Marketing Solutions not only allow us to manage a branded profile - host assets for download and offer various CTAs for lead gen purposes, but they also help in ensuring your company follows best practices when it comes to recruiting and leveraging reviews. In addition, they offer super valuable competitive comparison reports to help your sales team deposition the competition, shorten sales cycles and ultimately win more deals! Lastly, they've got a wealth of data that your marketing team can leverage for better intel and retargeting purposes. Also, kudos to Matt Lazares, our client manager, who has been stellar to work with -- smart and knows how to work with his clients to ensure they get the most impact out of their investment.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there was something that I disliked, I wouldn't be taking the time to review the product offering.... But, the only thing I am waiting from them on is an API direct integration to SFDC so we can more readily leverage the active search data and push it to our sales team faster. (Update: we are now part of the BETA program for the G2Crowd SFDC connector!)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I look at G2 Crowd as a partner in our success; a channel for us to influence buyers and get in front of those accounts that are in market to buy Marketing Automation. G2Crowd is one of our highest quality and healthiest converting demand gen channels. Over the last 3 years, we've had a 5x ROI from our investment in G2Crowd; I can attribute close to 2M in opportunity pipeline and 400K in won deals from our branded business profile alone.

Was hoping for a bit more

What do you like best about the product?
I like the analytics components. It’s quite interesting to see which companies are comparing us to which vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
We upgraded to license the grid and badge for our category. Unfortunately, “Leader” badges are only added/updated on your profile when a report for the category which you are a Leader in is generated. There is no report scheduled for the category which are are a “Leader” in.

G2Crowd should update badges on profile when/as companies move around on the grid, otherwise the profile pages are inaccurate. In the category description it says "Leaders include: [our brand]" but our profile is reflecting we are a “High Performer” when we are actually a “Leader.”
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are excited to use our “Leader” status in marketing and sales, especially since a formal grid/quadrant from Forrester or Gartner does not exist.

What do you like best about the product?
Transparency of customer feedback to public channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Applying reviews to multiple categories. Our technology meets the needs of multiple product categories, and it should be easier to ensure that our reviews pertain to all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There a few main ways that we are seeing substantial benefits from using G2Crowd.

1. G2Crowd allows us to open up a channel for public customer feedback. This feedback, not only allows our team to continue to provide the best solutions to our customers, but it also allows prospective customers to see this feedback directly from existing users.

2. Utilization of product category reports. These reports have allowed us to validate our category rankings during our sales process, as well as generate new leads from prospects that are looking to compare LMS platforms.

What do you like best about the product?
G2Crows is the best unfiltered and comprehensive platform to learn about strengths and weaknesses of various b2b tech in the market both established and contending.

The comparisons are also great because they turn unstructured written reviews into actionable and measurable data across a range of metrics. This means a decision maker can choose to focus on overall ratings, specific features, or the various rich and qualitative reviews.

What's more, all of this is based on validated profiles, so no fake reviews.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that some product categories are less rich in reviews than others. Something that surely will take time to develop but worth looking forward to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This platform is adding a new dimension to how we market and sell to our customers. The insight that can be shared from reviews and where users spend their time whilst on the platform allows marketers to form a view on who their buyers are and what they are interested in.

G2Crowd is changing the way we all learn about, evaluate and purchase b2b software. We don't go out to eat somewhere new without checking out tripadvisor or yelp and we certainly don't book a holiday before checking out reviews and pictures from people who have actually been there. G2Crowd brings this piece of mind to b2b software. It amazes that many companies still make significant purchasing decisions on outdated and obscure reviews from old school analysts who have probably never used the product.

G2Crows is solving for a massively underserved market of buyer and sellers who could all do with more transparency and trust!

What do you like best about the product?
The reporting functionality and insight into customer needs.
The ability to give customers and prospects insight into their peer's thoughts
The support I have received thus far.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a streamlined process in handling reviews. This gets to be daunting and cumbersome.
I would like to see more documentation on best practices with reports, spiffs and responses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great platform for current customers to see into additional functionality and prospects to see what the product can do. It also helps my company to see what we excel at and what we need to work on.

Hidden Gem in any online business marketing strategy

What do you like best about the product?
Personally, I love the reports they generate which help us make key marketing idea decisions which we roll out on our sites each quarter.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think they could improve the way videos for readers are displayed like a YouTube grid instead of the current format. That's about it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would go thru the onboarding and sales process as it is eye opening on how they can help your marketing team.

What do you like best about the product?
It makes our lives much easier and as they are verified users, its genuine. There's nothing to hide, which promotes good partnership.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't always have every solution / every product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Add to it. As this platform is all about reviews from the real life community, it gets better with the more active community members contribute to the site.

Continue to monitor it. Similar to Yelp or Glassdoor or other review sites, it can provide great insights into the health of your business.

Add another channel to your inbound marketing

What do you like best about the product?
G2 Crowd gets great traffic, even in my company's lesser known product category. By pushing the pageviews to Slack via Zapier the entire sales and marketing team can easily get a sense of how many people are landing on our page every day. It's between 10-15. G2C isn't a huge source of demo requests, but the awareness from this website is good.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's impossible (or at least very hard) to quantify the ROI. You can track your demo requests from G2C in Salesforce and measure that ROI, but I think the true value of G2C lies in the TOFU brand awareness you get from people viewing your page. And the data you get about your pageviews is not good. You're handed IP addresses that get matched against a spotty database (e.g. you will see a lot of "Comcast LLC viewed your page") and that's it. Without refining that data to the individual lead level, it's hard to give real attribution value to the pageviews you see on G2C. Maybe it's a great first touch channel, but you'll never really know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this as another web property to source inbound interest. It seems to capture a different group of people than our main website does.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get us an easy to use API so that we can hook it up to enrichment vendors like LeadLander, etc. We need to be able to see the ROI on pageviews. Without getting us this ROI data, there is an upper limit on how much we will pay for G2C. Adding it would allow us to pay more.

When I have requests that require the help of a product or engineering team, the turnaround can be between a few days to a week or so. It would be great to speed up the cross-functional questions.

What do you like best about the product?
Their customer service is excellent. No question goes unanswered for long. They always provide a prompt and thorough response.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the predefined page set ups. For example, the word "software" is at the end of our product name. The product is a software but the sentence sounds odd with software at the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better engagement with our end users. G2 Crowd is a great outlet for customers and partners to provide unbiased feedback that we can use to improve our technology. It also helps us potential customers make more informed decisions about their technology investments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of learning what content from G2 Crowd can be leveraged elsewhere and how to best use it early on. We are still in the process of doing this but the G2 Crowd team has been very helpful in educating us on this.

What do you like best about the product?
G2 Crowd is a great review platform that allow prospects to educate themselves about software by reading the experience of other users. We include review snippets on our Customers Success Stories website page and email campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much really, the account managers are very helpful and open to feedback. It can be a bit pricey for small business, but not above market rate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Educate prospects on how the product was received by others, and what improvement users have noticed over time.
