Excellent patch management
What do you like best about the product?
Automox is really great with the patching process. We've created several policies for different items. We have a policy that automatically updates web browsers and select 3rd party software. It is really robust and allowes
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some issues earlier on with the Agent and connectivity. We also lost our Automox onboarding Team member randomly and were not informated in a timely mannor (we showed up to a scheduled meeting and the link was inactive and an email to them bounced back). We eventually got back on track with a new team member from Automox and they helped us get things rolling!
I believe the reports feature could use improvements.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Windows updates were being managed on prem by WSUS. that solution is outdated and horrible. Microsoft would rather you do things individually but we could not get realtime information on what machines were updated and which ones were not.
Overall very good product that they're continuing to improve.
What do you like best about the product?
Regular patching for client systems is very easy and trouble free.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough audit reporting in a way that's easy to access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patching of all the various pieces of software we have deployed.
Automox saves time when you use it properly
What do you like best about the product?
It gives you a central place to manage & patch your devices with visibility and detail logs
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to configure the policies very carefully, otherwise, your device might get patched or rebooted at unexpected time slots which causes server/service outage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Automox, we do manual patching regularly which costs a lot of time for our DevOps engineers. So by using Automox it really saves our time and money.
Wonderful Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I have been impressed by Automox from the beginning. Once we purchased, there was a slight learning curve. Automox support was great in answering any questions that I had to get started. Once we had it set up, it just works. I log in to the console once in a while to check things out, but other than that there is no input required. It just works!
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of any nagatives. My sytems, both servers and desktops stay up to date with updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox eliminates the need to either manually patch our systems, or rely on the Windows service. On top of the Windows updates, it also keeps many other software packages up to date.
Think outside the box
What do you like best about the product?
Automox has a simple-to-use interface and works great for remote patching and remote access to endpoints. The workbook area is excellent and has a library of commonly used scripts to help automate admin tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
I think automox needs some more intergrations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patch management and remote access
We have had a great experience using Automox. It is easy to deploy and very easy to track issues.
What do you like best about the product?
Automox deploys not only to Windows & macOS but also to Linux. And it works on our servers as well. And I use the API routinely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our employees dislike being forced on a timeline to update their laptops. And Apple makes corporate updates very hard. This is not an Automox problem but a company problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pushing out updates in a timely manner to our end users. Before Automox, we had no way of knowing that updates were being performed.

As of yet, I am unable to find a downside, the application does exactly what I need it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
patch management for multiple applications, not just OS, it is now easy to see patch levels across all devices. Automox also integrates with our vulnerability management solution
Zero to Hero Config Management
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to get the solution online. With very little effort I'm patching and running worklets across Windows, Linux and Mac on and off the network.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many pricing tiers. A lack of audit on what users are doing within the console. No version control or audit on worklet or policy changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox solves patching based on a patch release date for a "ringed" deployment strategy. Ability to build worklets with scripts and payloads.
