Overcoming Challenges with Cloud-Based Endpoint Management Automation
What do you like best about the product?
1. Ease of use. I didn't have any experience with Patch Management software before Automox. It was easy to jump right in and start using Automox and patch our computers. The UI is also easy to read and follow. Automox is added to a device with an easy installation file. This can be installed manually or through a script.
What do you dislike about the product?
When pushing Software or security patches through Automox, there doesn't seem to be any type of progress bar to tell how far the installation is or if its stuck. Usually during patching, the device will report an "Installing..." status in the Automox console. This can make it hard to tell when a patch is stuck due to a bad update or just taking a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security patches are extremely important for all operating systems. Hosting internal servers that hold or perform these security patches can be a labor intensive task. Choosing to have Automox host these servers while giving us an easy GUI to use not only saves us server space, but also time.
Incredibly powerful software suite in a comprehensive console!!
What do you like best about the product?
I love How clear and concise the dashboard is! It tells me the vulnerabilities by severity, the health of my organization and what critical updates are still outstanding all in one glance!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could manually push a policy out to all devices within a group from the "Groups" view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is providing a consolidated patch management solution with the ability to automate policies and prove security controls are in place.
Great endpoint manager, makes script deployment a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
I love using powershell for scripting processes. The worklet creator was one of the most utilized tools in our entire stack of security tools. I used it for remote management across our entire enfastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain applications do not perform well with automox. Citrix, namely, was extremely difficult to manage and patch. I could not rely on the GUI for determining whether or not a script executing succesfully. Too often I needed to double and triple check devices after recieving false reporting for Citrix status.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have thousands of endpoints across the country and we need to standardize our management and configuration for every single one. Automox made rolling out script with worklets extremely easy.
Effortless Patch Management & Cybersecurity
What do you like best about the product?
Automated Patch Management – Keeping systems up to date is effortless. Automox automates patch deployment across Windows, macOS, and Linux, reducing vulnerabilities with minimal manual intervention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited Customization for Patch Policies – While Automox automates most updates seamlessly, I found that customizing patch policies beyond basic scheduling can be somewhat limited. More advanced options for fine-tuning deployments would be a great addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Comprehensive Reporting & Insights – The platform provides real-time visibility into patch status, compliance, and security posture, helping IT teams make informed decisions.

Helpful patching solutions with ease of scale
What do you like best about the product?
Automox make it easy to deliver releases and patches to all our supported OS systems. With the ability to scale our supported systems automox is a genuine powerhouse in that department saving loads of time and complexities from outdated OS systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all softwares are supported and they should offer a place or destination to vote on the next lineage of softwares to be onboarded along with the expected timeline (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) of the delivery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of updating and patching all softwares managed by our devices saving heaps of time and headache.

A solution for patch management - it simplifies the process of deploying patches across a variety of devices. Is great for adding timely updates without manual intervention.
Easy to Use and yet still advanced enough for the odd edge cases that stump IT constantly
What do you like best about the product?
Deployment seems to be very easy for users, many policies are very easy to create especially when it comes down to the Severity-based patch policies. Automox allows for great automation and scripting as well as management of devices into groups. The dashboards shown on the homepage are insightful and very applicable to an administrators problem solving. I like how worklets allow plenty of customisation and advanced actions especially when utilised with community scripts or even Automox made scripts. Our Customer Success Manager is a ray of light on our monthly calls, helping out with anything and providing really good insight to our deployment progress and updates from Automox themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the user experience can be not perfect, several users have reported issues with restart notifications even after restarting, or other issues with the notification deference, but I haven't seen issues myself, and its only a few experiencing issues mostly.
I think my biggest issue is some of the report metrics, for example trying to get an overall value for a particular data point is hard if you have many zones, as you can't review an Overview Report for the entire tenancy, only per zone, even as a global admin.
Another issue, which our CSM has expressly warned multiple times now, is this disconnection between what Automox reports as compliant or non-compliant, and what that means in the real world. It can definitely be confusing trying to discern what the compliant numbers actually mean if scheduled devices are also basically compliant.
Overall these are mostly nitpicks though and the satisfaction with Automox has been very good, even amongst other peers working with Automox.

Our main patch manager for software amongst both company infrastructure and end user devices, it is doing a lot of the heavy lifting for our company staying compliant with our patch management process in ensuring Critical, High, Medium and Low vulnerabilities are remediated automatically.
Some other branches of our company are using Automox for the same reason as well as doing some device management with Worklets for various administrative tasks.
