We use Automox for a lot of different tasks
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to patch multiple operating systems with one tool. The ability to automatically install and uninstall software. Using worklets to configure systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think of is the time is takes for some applications to make it into the catalog.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can patch our Windows, MacOS and Linux systems automatically. Having all three operating systems patch by one tool is a great help.
The next generation of patch managment.
What do you like best about the product?
It is an intuitive, cloud based patch management solution that can protect your endpoints, wherever they may be.
What do you dislike about the product?
We do not have dislikes of Automox at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to patch work from home computers that are not connected to the corporate network through VPN. As long as they are turned on and connected to the internet, we can patch them.
Top of its class!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup, deployment and use. Works on Windows,Linux and Macs! Amazing support staff!
What do you dislike about the product?
Aside from me wanting to change some visuals or rearrange a dashboard I really dont have any major dislikes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patch managment not only in our Windows enviroment but Linux as well! We now have things happening in one window isntead of spread out.
Automox is the real deal!
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Automox is how hands off it becomes after you get your groups and policies configured. The implementation of the groups and policies is very easy as well. It functions as a well oiled machine! The account reps and support reps are great to work with as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Automox. There's been a few times where they're having an issue on the back end and processing of patches is delayed. That's a bit of an inconvenience, but is usually fixed in a few hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox helps keep our devices patched with Microsoft updates as well as third party patches.
Automox is well worth the cost and makes a lot of the mundane tasks of a Systems Admin job a breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
It helps automate a lot of the day to day repetitive tasks like building a new package and uploading it into Intune weekly or uninstall an application from a fleet of PCs or Macs. The worklets available are very useful to accomplish things you didn't even think about that make everything easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
When there are bugs or things that are broken, it can take a bit longer than I would hope to resolve (sometimes 1-2 weeks). I am still very hopeful those set backs are just growing pains from a still relatively young company expanding its capabilities year after year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patching all of our 3rd party applications, uninstalling unused and outdated software and patching servers, PCs and Macs with OS security patches.
Automox has been a key item in our day-to-day patching and helped where Intune could not.
What do you like best about the product?
Using Automox has allowed us to work at higher speeds in changes that we make in our customers as well as our own environment. The worklets have been great. The patch management has been a great selling point for MSP customers as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful would be the worklet catalog, only because I wish it would update with new worklets more often. I also wish there was a way for Automox to run Bios updates if needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox has helped us where Intune could not. Patch Management has been simplified.
EXCELLET TOOL FOR PATCHING
What do you like best about the product?
GOOD TO HAVE A TOOL LIKE AUTOMAX IN ANY ORGANIZATION, AS WE CAN AUTOMATE PATCHING
What do you dislike about the product?
THERE ARE LOT OF IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED IN REPORTS SECTION.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ITS IS HELPING ME TO SCHEDULE A PATCHING AUTOMATIC FOR YEAR, NO NEED TO SCHEDULE EVERY MONTH SEPARATELY
Better results than MS System Center
What do you like best about the product?
Most of the time Automox just works. I really like how easy it is to create worklets to install, remove applications or to resolve vulnerabilities. Using Automox for our patching solution has worked well too, I would say our environment is the cleanest it's ever been with very few patches that fail.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when a device will not connect with Automox and we can not find a reason for the failures and also times when a server shows it updated but Automox still shows it needs the update that was just applied. The problems are rare and occur less than 1% of the time but I end up spending a lot of times on the few issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our enviroment there are others who can install software that is outdated, with Automox I created a job to remove those troublesome applications every day. We needed to do a better job of getting patches out and Automox does a great job almost all of the time.
Things that took 3 hours could be completed in 3 minutes!
What do you like best about the product?
Automox allowed me to run scripts on multiple computers within the organization to minimize the time spent going to every one of the PCs to get the job done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automox allows you to do a whole lot, however, there are some instances where the console may take a bit longer to load than normal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox allows you to readily patch vulnerabilities in minutes and can also patch multiple systems all at once.
Make your life 100x easier
What do you like best about the product?
Automox is a dream to work with. At every step in my organization's journey with 3rd party patching, automox has delivered . Implementation of the product is a breeze with numerous ways to accomplish this initial task. Additionally, documentation for virtually every use case is available in the support portal via knowledgebase articles or offical manuals. While limited in some areas, the documentation is clear in its construction and organized in a sensical way. If you encounter a problem you can't solve through the knowledge base, the Customer Support has got your back. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and reliable when troubleshooting the "unseen" and novel errors or issues that come with rolling out any product for the first time. My organization has not encountered an issue that Automox Support did not know how to resolve. Support for the product is fantastic, easy, and effective.
The range of features is extensive as it currently stands and it is still growing (almost daily) when you consider the worklet catalog. Reporting from automox albeit somewhat limited, is effective. Device management from a singular device or a group of devices is well thought out and contains all the functions or features you would need. If not, check out the worklet catalog...odds are someone has written something that can accomplish what you want to do.
In our organization, we oversee hundreds of systems and utilize automox daily for patching and keeping up with the ever evolving threat landscape. It has completely offloaded a stress and manual process that used to take roughly 4-6 hours, depending on how the computers wanted to act that day. It has integrated seamlessly into our environment and drastically reduced the time to work on this critical task. Building out the policies is easy, organizing your systems is intuitive (if you don't do it when onboarding devices, I highly reccommend it).
TLDR: We don't have to worry, automox took an age old process, offloaded the mundane, and reduced our time spent working on patching and device management, and streamlined our workflows. I highly reccommend the service and would absolutely consider it a necessity for any IT department.

What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I wish was more flushed out, is the reporting within automox. Some of the reports are limited in the information they provide and I find myself stringing together different reports to satisfy my organization's needs. With that being said, I've contacted our account representative and they have been transparent in addressing this slight issue. I feel heard in my concern and understand that this issue is actively being researched and developed. Our rep even sent over a method to try and work around this issue, so its really just a matter of time before this feature catches up.
Again, its not a "make-or-break" issue, its a feature request. Considering how amazing the rest of the product is, I know its only a matter of time before my opinion on the reporting functionality is completely reversed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its offloading an ever-present technical problem faced by all IT departments to automation and the cloud. My department now has time to focus on other projects and implementations that will further increase the value we generate for our organization.
