What do you like best about the product?
The agility to create new solutions via a varierty of tools to different problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that it only allows me to save one password, when for safety pourpuses our programs use different ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The agility to have an almost inmediate response to give to our customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take in consideration that you will need a fix asset to make the tool work as one inttends to.

Great tool for automating tasks and to save time!

What do you like best about the product?
Really simple to link together multiple API requests together so you can then build an 'app' to achieve a task that before took 10 different requests
What do you dislike about the product?
Retool is great, but can be slightly difficult to use at times for setup. The UI is not very attractive but gets the job done
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to activate API access for our customers via creation of an accounts, attributing specific rights to that account and a number of other items. This previously took 30 minutes at least, and was very manual. With retool, we have linked all the requests together so you input the information you need and then it does the rest for you. Now the whole task takes less than 3 minutes! This has allowed us to better serve customers and save time to be used strategically on other tasks

What do you like best about the product?
The simple UI and easily configurable fields are something I like the most in the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about Retool, it just helps me get what I want without any hassle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Out of the box functionalities are done using retool which happens outside our product.

Easy to build complex solutions with limited technical knowledge

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing is the ability to build complex systems from the ground up with a tool that allows for all the flexibility required. We're a super technical organization and Retool was sophisticated enough for us optimize our operational flow with very limited technical skills, we currently have only a few hours a month dedicated to maintaining it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The things people get wrong sometimes, is that you still need to be a little technical and know some code to built with retool. It's not a no-code solution entirely. For us this worked great, but good for non-technical companies to know as they look for options
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We optimized our entire operational flow, which is quite complex. Retool helps us from the start to customer communication, and is involved throughout the customer journey.

Great no-code tool for engineer!

What do you like best about the product?
This might sounds weird that no-code tool for engineer?

But it is true.

We as engineers, facing a lot of routing and boring tasks requires some code, everyone has it's own kudos to accomplish those tasks, but Retool is a new all-in-one tool to create those tools for engineer, teammate, etc.

I would like to recommend to all of my teammates to use Retool
What do you dislike about the product?
So far didn't see anything dislike about Retool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. some routing jobs/tasks relied on engineer's work.
2. simple UI freed engineer from normal CRUD operations
3. really fast to build an internal tool to operate on the production database, saving tons of time for engineers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try once, you will find this one will well fit into your development process and internal dashboard/CMS etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setting up Resources. Automatic table creation and being able to configure columns. Automatic refresh when variables change. Option to add a mobile layout.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model for pro is too expensive to allow all devs, customer support, and a few other departments access that I would like.
Couldn't see a way to locally cache data between page reloads.
Some APIs like Stripe don't seem to be maintained and are out of date.
I'd like a nicer way to handle referencing elements of undefined objects. Kind of a problem with javascript in general and I like that the whole app doesn't crash.
I'd also like a way to add logging. In our public app, I've seen a few weird things from the data but it's hard to tell exactly what went wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
quickly developing internal tools for customer service and a CMS to maintain app content.
I wrote a refer a friend public app that allows existing users to send a coupon to up to 3 friends. We were able to build and launch this really quickly compared to the time it would have taken to get it built into all of our client apps.

Very flexible if you have the dev chops

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the fact if you can do it in javascript retool will let you report on it. Substantially cheaper than competition.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as executive friendly in that if the C-Suite wants data it isn't easy for them to self serve it as in other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to provide the business team with clear reporting in a very affordable way.

Great Product Easy to Use

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the interface and how easy it is to use. The design and layout are very intuitive. The support that I've gotten when I got stuck has also been amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is per-user, this makes it hard to be used for a large org 1000+ users with tools where a user may only use it once a year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to easily build internal admin apps with a drag and drop UI. We were able to get non-developers involved with the building process and everything is hosted in the cloud with authentication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be careful with the pricing structure, it can get very expensive for a large organization.

Amazing time saver for building internal tools

What do you like best about the product?
Very seamless and intuitive to use. Drag and drop is super intuitive, and connecting supported databases is seamless. Also very satisfied with the prebuilt components.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough database integrations was one problem. We wanted to spin up elastic search, but ended up going with another DB instead because of lack of support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All kinds of internal tools, from managing databases to summarizing and visualizing internal documentation
