Dental documentation has reduced paperwork and now frees more time for patient treatment

What is our primary use case?

I use DeepScribe for documentation of conversations taking place between me and the patient during the patient's visit in my dental clinic.

When a patient visits my dental clinic, DeepScribe helps to document the conversation during the conversations between me and my patients, including the patient's medical history, the medications the patient is taking, the treatment plan, and follow-up information. All of this is documented and organized by DeepScribe.

What is most valuable?

One important feature of DeepScribe is AI pre-charting, in which I am able to see the patient's medical history, prior treatments, lab reports, and X-rays even before the patient visit. This allows me to be well prepared before the patient visits my dental clinic.

The best features of DeepScribe are documenting the conversation between me and the patient during the appointment and organizing it in a well-structured way. The other valuable feature is AI pre-charting, which helps to keep me informed about the patient's medical history, the medications the patient is taking, and the treatment being performed. I can see all of this information at a glance.

What needs improvement?

A few more dental terminologies need to be incorporated into DeepScribe. Some terminologies are still missing from its database. Additionally, sometimes the response or the notes written are not entirely accurate, so the accuracy could be increased to some extent.

If DeepScribe would have features such as sending the patient a reminder about their follow-up appointment, or alerting me when abnormalities are seen in a lab report, an alert system for the dentist would be highly helpful.

I believe some improvement is still needed in accuracy and some dental terminology is missing from its database that needs to be incorporated.

I have been working with DeepScribe for the last six months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

DeepScribe is quite stable during my work. It takes notes quite accurately during conversations with the patient in my dental clinic without any major issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

DeepScribe is quite scalable from a small clinic to a well-organized healthcare hospital, and multiple clinic chains can all use DeepScribe easily.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support for DeepScribe is quite good, and they are very responsive to any issues that arise during the setup or during usage.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use any different solution before DeepScribe.

How was the initial setup?

Pricing for DeepScribe is fair and the setup is quite easy. I can easily set up and start using DeepScribe to take medical scribes of my conversations with patients quickly, and it is really easy to use.

What was our ROI?

DeepScribe has been a great return on investment. I am spending less time on writing clinical notes. That time is now used to treat patients, so the number of patients I see daily has increased. This has in turn increased my revenue and profits. My efficacy has also improved and the workload and paperwork load has been reduced.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated one other medical scribe called Freed AI before choosing DeepScribe.

What other advice do I have?

The accuracy of DeepScribe is quite good. It captures the medical and dental terminology well. The speed is also good, and it keeps pace with the conversation between me and my patients.

DeepScribe has reduced the administrative workload that is needed for paperwork. I spend less time on paperwork and more time is given to the patients and on treatment. This overall has increased the efficacy of my dental staff and myself. Rather than spending time on paperwork and writing clinical notes, I spend more time on the patients and focusing on their treatment.

I am spending less than fifty percent of the time I used to previously on writing clinical notes. All is done by DeepScribe. All that time is saved and those hours are utilized in seeing more patients and increasing the revenue of my dental clinic and increasing the efficacy of my work.

If any organization that is using an Electronic Health Record can easily consider integrating DeepScribe into their system, it will really increase efficacy and reduce paperwork, and more time can be given to patients and taking care of patients.

DeepScribe is a really reliable and stable tool that can be used in my dental clinic for day-to-day activity. It reduces the paperwork and the time that I was spending previously in taking clinical notes. Now those times can be utilized for doing the treatment of patients. This overall has increased the efficacy of my clinic and really helped me to focus on my work rather than only doing paperwork. I would rate this product eight out of ten.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for DeepScribe is care. I have to transcribe Booker audio as a specific example of how I use DeepScribe in my daily work.

What is most valuable?

DeepScribe offers a translation service that is valuable for my work. The quality of the translation service is what I appreciate most. DeepScribe has positively impacted my organization by speeding up the time to market. It saves me about 10% of my time and affects my daily tasks significantly.

What needs improvement?

I believe X can be improved to enhance DeepScribe.

I have been using DeepScribe for three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

DeepScribe is stable in my experience.

DeepScribe helps with medical prescriptions in my hospital to reduce the time required for documentation.

What is most valuable?

DeepScribe's best feature is its ability to translate all requirements into text forms. When DeepScribe translates all requirements into text forms, we use it to maintain all patient clinical information with complete medical details and signals.

DeepScribe has impacted my organization positively with better accuracy, as it reduces a significant number of errors. Accuracy has improved, and we have decreased errors by 30% since using DeepScribe.

What needs improvement?

I believe that DeepScribe could be improved by adding a human-in-the-loop component to the process.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using DeepScribe for one year.

What other advice do I have?

I purchased DeepScribe through the AWS Marketplace. The advice I would give to others looking into using DeepScribe is to start with a proof of concept. I find this interview valuable. My review rating for this product is 8 out of 10.

What do you like best about the product?
The team provides useful advice to prevent them in the future. The transcription process itself is highly impressive. DeepScribe consistently improves its interface through updates. They give the best customer support. Time efficiency is the most reliable thing in this software. Don't need to start from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
DeepScribe does save time in charting, but I still find myself spending a significant amount of time editing notes for accuracy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DeepScribe resolves communication problems between doctors. It is providing facilitates face-to-face conversations. This positively impacts our business by enhancing care quality and satisfaction levels.

What do you like best about the product?
My patients will at times speak to things that I may not have caught during the visit that lends itself to differential diagnoses. I am very happy to have this in the room with me
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the editing that needs to happen, however, the support staff are very responsive and take the time to understand and fix problems that arise. There aren't a lot of mistakes, but they do happen

Allowing me to spend more time talking to the patient than charting. I am better able to listen to patient's concerns and capture the important details that a patient may be speaking to

What do you like best about the product?
Accurate notes for the most part.
No time caps for recording appointments, (ours are 60 mins long!)
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get too wordy and redundant from section to section.
Have to correct a few things before finalizing note, more often than not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Writing a SOAP Note for us is a huge leap for our productivity, even though it is not perfect. I would love to have option to make custom prompts.

What do you like best about the product?
I can use dictation to help save me time on my documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using the microphone to dictate, you cannot leave it for an extended period and come back to dictating. Deepscribe will upload to the portal within 30 minutes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepscribe benefits me by saving me time on my charting.

Time saver and increased billing

What do you like best about the product?
It does an amazing job at compiling the HPI.
It helps to track my time while in the room with the patient. I never realized the amount of time. Able to bill high with time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have an Interface wiht intergy erm.
Does not always pick up the plan as well while with the patient. I typically have to redictate my plan. Many times I feel as if my note is not reviewed by a person after not is completed there is many errors spelling and grammar

When I directing dictate into the note I am not able to make it go to the next line. Other systems I can say paragraph or next line. This would help break up the continuous dictation.

Having me pick the gender. Many times it would get it wrong.
