Chow Sang Sang - Most effective product recommendation tool with accurate user segmentation

What do you like best about the product?
We’re a big fan of the flexibility and advanced scenarios that Insider’s recommendation engine offers and all of these advanced features come with easy integration and smooth implementation, the panel is also easy to use and going live with campaigns was easy. The strategy and guidance from our account managers at Insider is another valuable thing we like, they provide us all the right information in implementing effective personalization scenarios.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our crowd-sourced based product feed model is a tricky spot to operate in, and although Insider has enabled us to reduce a lot of cost and time in implementing personalization features on our product pages, it requires at least one user to visit the product page - and this is something we need to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were struggling with our recommendations strategy as the recommendation tool we were using before insider was less flexible and primitive with basic recommendation ability. With Insider’s smart recommender, we were able to leverage AI-powered contextualized recommendations to improve engagement on our product pages. Not only that, we also generated a 10.5% uplift in conversion rates from the smart recommendations campaigns. We implemented the smart recommendations on our homepage and product page with a mix of popular items, most viewed products/categories, and top sellers - all of this was individualized to the customers’ preference and intent which made them more effective. The best part is that all of this heavy lifting was done by Insider’s recommendation engine. What we wanted was a solution with a strong performance that would help us improve our key metrics like conversions, CTR, AOV, and session duration and which provided high accuracy in user segmentation. We got all of this and much more with Insider.

What do you like best about the product?
Swift integration process. Great personalization product which enables you to create engagement from scratch. We like Insider account, management team. They are ready to help almost 27/7.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some problems with the email product, but overall there is nothing much to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using email, recommendations, and personalization products. It helped us to optimize our workload. Our main goal was to increase CR, AOV and to drive engagement for returning users. And it is also valuable for us to be able to use our mobile channel efficiently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using Insider products altogether. Then you will be able to create a relevant, multichannel user experiance from the very beginning.

What do you like best about the product?
Setting up experiments on Insider’s panel and creating customized personalized engagement is very easy especially with Insider’s wide range of ready-to-use templates which are already optimized for a range of scenarios and user segments. The gamified templates from Insider work extremely well for boosting engagement on the web and we’ve seen an increase in retention metrics and average session duration from these campaigns. To top it all off, the account management team is always available to consult and they also provide strategic tips on how we can optimize our campaigns and deliver personalization that stands out. But it’s not only about providing us with best practices, they’re also helpful in understanding our ideas and helping us implement these ideas using the tools available on the platform. The best mix of creativity and technology.
What do you dislike about the product?
We’ve observed some technical glitches with the banner management feature on some campaigns, and although the team at Insider was quick to resolve these issues so that we did not face any delays in going live, we believe there is room for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our main KPI was to offer personalized experiences onsite to our customers, targeting them with content that was relevant and contextual to their behavior. Once we started using Insider, we realized that we could A/B test various personalization scenarios and track the performance through control groups. We’re also using Insider’s gamified templates to create excitement and boost engagement on our website, and we’ve observed a significant increase in incremental revenue from these. Insider’s dynamic web push is another feature we are using to send targeted messages to segmented audiences. What we’ve observed is a higher ROI from these campaigns as these targeted messaging generates more conversions as compared to the general engagements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a great partnership, Insider is one of the best in the market in terms of rendering services. Not everything relies on technology, but also a tad of human touch is essential to be able to make things work.

What do you like best about the product?
We love Insider products for their easy to use nature and smooth and quick integration setup. Insider’s growth technology provides a very stable platform which is easy to learn and provides all the elements we need to quickly create and deliver personalized engagement across various channels. Their technical team is very supportive and is quick to address all our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven’t found anything to dislike about the platform, with the overall performance and the responsiveness of Insider’s technical team, we are very satisfied with the experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Around the time that we started with Insider, our main business objectives were to increase traffic to our website, improve conversions and deliver better user experiences and personalized customer journey flows. With Insider we started offering an integrated customer journey with a seamless experience that was consistent across channels - we were the first company in Indonesia to use WhatsApp Business API as part of our customer engagement channel. We also implemented onsite features like social proof which allowed us to achieve a conversion rate uplift of 45% from the campaign. And it’s super easy to track our performance on Insider’s panel.

What do you like best about the product?
Insider’s user panel allows us to build and deliver highly personalized campaigns even if the complexity involved is high. What we really admire about Insider is the feature where we can create automated journeys that target specific user segments with individualized content across the user lifecycle. The platform also works great at driving cross-channel engagement, from engaging website visitors through web push notifications to continuing the journey across email, ad-channels. All of this is possible because insider’s segmentation tools are effective at tracking onsite behavior and segmenting users based on their preferences.
What do you dislike about the product?
We’ve observed a few bugs related to production at times, but we’ve never had to face any delays on account of these.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we started using Insider, our tech-stack was spread across different tools and there was no real-time data integration between our various marketing efforts since these tools operated in silos. It was also a big challenge for us to drive meaningful omnichannel experiences as there was no single platform from where we could orchestrate holistic customer journeys. With Insider we got a single-point tool which provided us engagement across channels, further enhanced by their AI-powered recommendations and segmentation features. What we realized was that we no longer had to engage customers one channel at a time, we could automate the engagement and build remarkable customer journey models that would follow users across their lifetime journey across multiple touchpoints with our brand. By using a combination of web-push journeys and email engagement, we were able to significantly improve our key metrics and optimize retention.

What do you like best about the product?
First, the level of account management at Insider is incredibly high. Beside the great tool itself, account managers provide deep expertise, high analytical ideas and roadmap based on our specific vertical and market.
Secondly, the panel itself is really convenient and easy to use, every module is structured well and super handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the panel updates without any notification, but overall it is still great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main thing is that we can easily provide communication with our users regarding the promos. As a brand, we have lots of promo activities on a monthly basis and Insider helps us to cover this need.
With Insider feature we significantly increased our performance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend trying mobile products of Insider both app and web. But if you want to build omnichannel marketing space you should also consider other products and modules!

What do you like best about the product?
The insider panel is really easy to use and comes with a lot of useful features and templates that work amazingly at generating engagement and improving conversion rates. These templates are also customizable and can be used for almost all the use-cases we have. And above all, we love the local support and guidance we get from the industry experts at Insider.

The responsiveness from the panel can be slow at times

We wanted a solution that would help us interact and engage with our customers across multiple platforms. Insider’s journey orchestration tool, architect, gave us all the resources we were looking for. We could now build extensive customer journeys and automate them to engage with users according to their behavior and preferences while designing a journey that allowed for engagement across various touchpoints like website, email, mobile web, and mobile app. The architect has the ability to understand the right channel to use and the perfect time to send across the engagement. This level of automation has helped us optimize our engagement and conversion metrics.

What do you like best about the product?
They have similar marketing processes to our team so working with them is very seamless and I can rely on them to deliver our event objectives. They've also given us lots of great opportunities to partner with them on their big summits which are amazing events to be apart of (the calibre of speakers they get is incredible).

What do you like best about the product?
We have had a great working relationship for last 3+ years with Insider. They have a very responsive team, helping us solve most of our queries. Their product works as promised and we have by and large no complaints on the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the cool features are a little pricy.
