Superior Collaboration Security
What do you like best about the product?
The seamless integration between all Proofpoint solutions provides a single source for messaging security. From Targeted attack protection to large file transfer or DMARC reporting they have you covered.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see the ability to whitelist domain if they pass DMARC checks. The tools has excellent DMARC reporting but this additional option would go a long way to securing our environment. Beyond that, I don't have many things I dislike in general the tool has been worth its weight in gold.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The solution is set and forget very little maintenance is necessary with the team of professionals they have on the back end.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get all the features you will not regret it. DMARC, TAP, SPAM, TRAP, ETC

Reliable security, excellent features, very slow interface
What do you like best about the product?
The accuracy of the spam filtering is excellent. The feature set is also excellent, providing a very flexible solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a very long time to do just about anything in the PoD interface. The response time is extremely slow. The search capability is limited and not consistent between different sections of the interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to reject & quarantine malicious, risky & suspicious email messages. The notification options when a message is quarantined is very helpful. We also rely on the DLP and encryption features to prevent specific sensitive information from being sent insecurely by email.

What do you like best about the product?
The admin interface is very intuitive and the threat dashboard is very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having the ability to make changes to the system files, clear space on our own and to see a "live" email workqueue

Keeping our company secure from an email standpoint, also limitting the amount of unwanted email.

Reporting is consistently not accurate and not updating frequently enough

Expect a learning curve and time for the tool to gather data to become accurate

The system is very efficient at handling spam and blocking emails containing viral signatures.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI can be very slow at times depending on the amount of traffic going through your system. Gui requests are given a low priority in comparison to email scanning and routing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint blocks are large amount of spam from our organization. You would be surprised about the amount that would flow through with out it. Not having end users have to deal with that is huge. Also protecting them from fishing emails and other scams is needed very much in today's world.

the simplicity of use and the implementation of the rules very fast and simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface a bit "old", the inability to use IOC or Yara rule.

Before the introduction of Proofpont, end users received a lot of malicious mail (phishing, malware mail), with the introduction we cancelled most malicious mail.
In addition, we can create precise rules on specific targets and have more control over security.

Really an excellent solution, does the job well with excellent results, solves the totality of phsishing and spam
Rock Solid Email Protection
What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint is a set it and forget it product that requires little interaction. It just works once setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The updates sometimes need a little help. But if things to automatically update, support is always very responsive and always willing to help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Proofpoint as our Anti SPAM software. It works very well.
Great Tool to Protect You From Spam, Virus, URL and Phishing
What do you like best about the product?
All the bad actors are trying to attack your company with different types of email campaigns. ProofPoint can guard your users from mistakes they make before they can open an email. About 99% of all bad email is stopped by ProofPoint.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is not cheap.Spam protection is one price then each protection that is added is another price. All the tools add up quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ProofPoint helps keep email inboxes full of legitimate email. Keeps the spam, phishing, and virus out of our environment.

Proofpoint does a great job of eliminating threats while keeping false positives to a minimum.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike is I wish they would simply price all of their email products as all inclusive instead of bolt on packages.

We are utilizing their full suite of products to provide safe email to our employees while proactively eliminating threats.

Customer Service is helpful and efficient. Everytime I have an issue I'm able to easily log a ticket and have a support specialist review within hours depending on the business impact.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Proofpoint security platform is so vast its hard to be an expert in everything. For smaller shops with a limited security staff this can be a daunting task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping reduce the phishing volume our organization faces. Proactively protecting our end users. Giving our users the ability to easily manage their inbox without all the extra spam and clutter.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
ProofPoint is the top of its class. It may be more expensive than others but the price is well worth the functionality.
