My Proofpoint Journey
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is the protection it provides against bad actors and spammers, while at the same time being customizable. I can create block and safe lists as well as being able to relax or increase the spam and bulk scores for various legitmate senders, to avoid them being blocked. For the Service Desk, the ease of use for the average user is very good. We use the POD a lot and we rarely have complaints.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be slow to apply changes, at times. Even though we have been promised that this would be fixed we still experience this issue.Support can be slow to respond at the weekend. We have also experienced outages, and never seem to receive and explanation of why they happened.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The way that the integration between the gateway, TAP and TRAP works, we have been saving a lot of man hours manually deleting malicious or email that has been sent in error from mailboxes.
Proofpoint was a highly scalable and comprehensive solution for our email security needs

Highly scalable and efficient. Meets the wide variaety of our needs.

The interface is not the most intiutive.

What do you like best about the product?
Email Protection has a great GUI and is very easy for the team to learn and pick up on in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike right now as I have used PP in the past and now we are a current customer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We receoved a lot of spam and impersonation attacks. Spam has been cut down by 90% and impersonation attacks are down by 98%. We needed to free up our SOC from handling spam for 6 plus hours a day.

I like how fast all the functions pn the platform work!

I wish I could customize a few things on the plaform.

The number of threat emails coming into the enviornment has been greatly reduced

Easy to use. Minimal learning curve. Great professional service for new deployments

Simulated phishing attacks look very generic and not sophisticated enough to represent the real world scenarios.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint improves our overall email security and integrates Microsoft 365 services very well. It's a great upgrade from the Cisco products we used to have.

I like how helpful and responsive Proofpoint's support is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how sensitive engines can be when sometimes adjusting rules, however I understand the criticality of it.

Proofpoint: Evolving Security with you
What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint continuilly looks to inovate and grow in the area of email security. Looking at improving their current technology or discovering new technology that can help improve their current portpholio.
What do you dislike about the product?
Proofpoint has a lot of good tools and technology but if you have a several of their tools their all manged out of seperate platforms, centralazation of these tools would be a great improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a high education istatute and we have thousands of email addresses and trying to monitor and protect them would be near impossible with out leveraging a tool like Proofpoint. It helps filter out spam and and sandbox URLs before our users can get scammed.
