Fair experience
What do you like best about the product?
I like the feature that you can assign people and send them the notification to let them know about the task. Also, being able to set the due dates is also helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
- A lot of email traffic.. Sending notification is good however, every single change that you make , other people are getting notofied which this sometimes might be disturbing for other people.
- If you're using basic plan , you cannot get the gantt chart feature which I think it is a key feature for a project management tool

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a company we have a lot of projects either small or big and sometimes it is getting hard to follow each of them. So, to have a clear instructions and being able to see who is responsible from each subtasks make the project more efficient and help it to move faster.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good start for small size companies to keep track of their projects. but if you have recourses , I think you should consider having a business account cause seems like upgraded version has more useful features.
I'm slowly learning the benefits to using asana
What do you like best about the product?
I started using asana about five months ago when I joined a new team. Prior to asana I was using monday. asana is great in that it gives the entire team visibility on what everyone is working on at one time. After taking some time to learn it, I find it fairly straightforward to use. I love the board view most, and I don't tend to stray from that.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I really dislike about asana. I tend to stick to the board view as my team doesn't always have strict deadlines, so the calendar view is a bit pointless for us. I also get a little overwhelmed when I view my own tasks, hence the reason I prefer the board. What can be annoying is that if I get assigned a task by another team it shows up on their board but they don't tag it or add it to mine so I can only see it in the tasks. I often miss these as I don't check boards across the company. I do however think this is something we need to fix internally and not a shortcoming on asana's side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana gives the entire company visibility on what all teams are working on. I can easily view another team's board to understand what they are doing and where my given priorities lie for them. It allows me to better plan my own work and give realistic timeframes to materials my team is creating.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think you should at least give it a try. It is overwhelming to begin with, but if you take it one step at a time and learn how to use it properly you'll see the benefits.
Not friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to organize myself and my coworkers in a sigle app with a lot of options. It's a web focused on improving team's productivity and it is obvious from the first minute. I like the care and effort they put to do a complete web application.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like th desing and for me I was difficult to get in. Sometimes I though I had too much options to learn about, I've needed a youtube tutorial to understand how all works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team management and task management mainly. Also coworkership, obviously. We benefit from collaboraion and scheduling, so we improved our productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend to at least try asana. I f you get how it works quickly, it becomes a powerful we application and it's useful to imrpove your productivity. I do not recommend to spend money on asana having other options, I tried it and I think we are going to stop using the paid version.
Task Management for Individuals and Groups
What do you like best about the product?
Since its rollout, Asana has been one of the better task-oriented platforms for individuals and teams. It has a very nice UI, and provides a robust set of options for amplifying, tracking, organizing, and timing tasks. For practitioners and groups who work in a task-oriented culture, it's hard to beat.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with most products in this category, Asana delivers as advertised. For teams who want to keep information at a high level--like MS Project teams--Asana is going to feel like overkill. Teams wanting to keep detail and data relationships will find a lot of great avenues within the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I consult with teams that have a task or checklist culture, I recommend Asana as a way to start amplifying task information, most often associated with keeping better metrics (time per event, planned vs. actual, etc.) It's simple to implement and intuitive enough to get started quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Always use a tool that most closely fits your culture. If task-oriented, this will be a good fit.
Asana needs some UX help
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Asana uses an outline design format, allowing you to detail projects in a bullet point-like fashion. It makes it easy to see a project at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface feels clunky at times to navigate. For example, it would be so much more user friendly if users could resize panels according to their preferred size. But Asana is not truly responsive because it has a minimum width it must be open to in order to see all the content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The company uses Asana to outline podcast projects, parts of which are assigned to different people on the team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana does its job well, but for low-level users of the program like me, it doesn't have great adaptability to my preferences that would make me want to use the product more. Rather, I use it because I have to, and put up with its limitations because it's the company's software of choice.
Product over average
What do you like best about the product?
The easiest way to manage team tasks and projects. Asana offers everything you need to be synchronized, meet deadlines and achieve your goals. Easy to use and easy to set up. All the time was happy with the app. Very visual.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has some similar areas which confuses and causes that in the end they are divided into two groups. The price would be another flaw, there are few members per team and then each member costs individually, there are no good offers for large groups unless you contact with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I visualized my work and the work of my collegues. I made my work and the other's work advance through the various stages of the project with speed, ease and excellence.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Asana to campanies where people have to work togheter and syncronization is very important. It is easy to use and set up, and visually looks fine, what improves your experience. You won't regret it.
Great for keeping things organized
What do you like best about the product?
The organization, ability to assign task to others, and the liking and commenting features. Overall it's a really great organizational tool, although it does work better if everyone is using it consistently, otherwise things can get lost by people not checking their Asana and seeing what's been assigned to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
If some people are using only Asana for creating and assigning tasks to people, but some people don't use it as frequently, things can get lost in the shuffle. It's really nothing against Asana itself, more on how people us it. Although I would say their notification settings aren't great, it's pretty much either all (where you're getting emails all the time for every little thing) or nothing. This can feed into that problem, if you have your email notification off, you have to go actually check Asana, so if you don't you might miss stuff, and you can't just set the notifications to email when a new task is assigned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping some projects and tasks better organized, and helping people view what's going on within a team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your whole team is on board with implementing Asana for project assignment, otherwise stuff might slip through the cracks from people not checking it. Also, they have amazing walkthroughs for all sorts of stuff, so you can find the answer to pretty much any question pretty easily.
A very good estructurated tool
What do you like best about the product?
You have a lot of options for customize your planning, is a very good estructurated tool with a nice hierarchy for improvement your workflow and your capacity of work if all your members finish their task in time.
What do you dislike about the product?
We used both kind of accounts, free and premium, for a not very complete use, free account is more usefull than premium, with a limit of 5 members in your projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to get a better workflow and our planning for get successful
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We are still implementing it, we have 2 kind of accounts, some free, some premium, we are comparing the use of free ones with premium ones, at this moment we are not very happy to pay an expensive service that offers a really difficult solution, creating it more problems coordinating all of us in Asana that in other platforms, is not a bad tool, but you must to test it before and know what can offer it to you, because if you pay before of it, maybe you will not be happy with this.
Good collaboration tool for a small group of colleagues
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows us to see all the projects that each member of our group is working on and their expected completion dates. The ability to list all tasks related to each project, create a timeline for the completion of each task, and the ultimate outcomes was extremely useful in keeping everyone on task and informed
What do you dislike about the product?
it was a little difficult to navigate each member's list of projects and tasks, and you need to have all notifications turned on to receive assignments outside of the system. This is only necessary if you do not keep the software open at all times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has allowed us to better manage our time and coordinate with each other, as we always have a farily large number of concurrent projects that overlap one another. By having a collaboration tool, we are able to work with each other without as many time conflicts and keep each other on task for the completion of each project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool for small groups or departments who need better time management and collaboration tools, but don't want to spend a fortune on software. Its been a great help to our team.
Lots of features for a busy team.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everything my team has going on gets recorded in this software. It gets really stressful wondering where a project is, or if I assigned it, or if the person got the assignment - with Asana and everyone going to the same place to collaborate, nothing gets missed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve how everyone should use it can get a little confusing. It would be great to have several tutorials on how to best organize work assignments within Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confusion around assignments and project status are greatly reduced because of using Asana with my team. The fact that I can not only assign projects and tasks, but also maintain a dialogue with everyone involved in that project helps a lot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to simplify and de-stress your project management with multiple employees/IC's, then Asana is a great place to start.
