Efficient Project Management with Room for Portfolio Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Asana's good overview of all projects, tasks, and people involved. It's a one-stop tool to look at a project and the assigned tasks, and I know exactly which tasks are my responsibility and their priority levels. Every task has its own user, due date, and status, which is really helpful. I also like how we can tag people when we need feedback or more information, and all notifications appear in my inbox. This makes it an everyday tool to check for outstanding and upcoming tasks. Additionally, the initial setup was quite easy with the help of Asana customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Building rules to get the most out of portfolios is complex. We add everything manually and it's not always clear which project should be in a portfolio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana gives me a good overview of projects, tasks, and people involved. It's a daily tool where every task has an assigned user, due date, and status. I easily track priorities and responsibilities.
Effortless Project Management with Smart AI Features
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use project and task management tool. The added AI functionality allows for easier location of information without a predefined structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting features are not as robust as we would have liked. Some changes are pushed without user acceptance, resulting in need to change user behavior.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool helps us manage tasks, capture new requirements, and serves as an information repository for knowledge previously learned.
Effortless Project Tracking and Onboarding with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy it is to track progress across several projects, even when multiple teams are involved. I also value the variety of Asana training courses offered to new users, as they make it much simpler to incorporate the platform into your existing workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it frustrating that I can't assign a project or task to more than one person. Sometimes, collaborators need to be actively involved in a task right from the start, but being limited to just the collaborator role makes this challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped our product launches run more smoothly. It has also made it much easier and clearer to track goals and KPIs for individual team members.
Project Management That Keeps Us Organized and On Track
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Asana is how it blends clarity with flexibility. Creating projects and breaking them into task a simple, and the variety of views, like List, Board, and Timeline, help our team visualize work in the way that fits best for each project. Assigning task with clear due dates and priorities has helped eliminate confusion about who is responsible for what.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of features and configuration options sometime feel like too much for new users, and it take a bit of time to learn how to optimise workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has significantly reduced the Chaos in our weekly planning and project execution. Before using it we relied on email change and spreadsheet which led to missed deadline and unclear responsibilities. With Asana, we now have a centralised task tracker that lets us manage priorities track progress and communicate contextually within each task.
Highly Flexible Workspace with Seamless Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
It’s a highly flexible workspace platform that also integrates with other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app experience is lacking, and I find the number of notifications to be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a simple and effective way to monitor progress toward daily team goals. It makes it much easier to stay organized and focused on what needs to be accomplished each day.
Efficient Workflows, Needs Better Data Export
What do you like best about the product?
I like the shared communication and workflows with rules for automation in Asana. The ability to change views, like calendar, board, and list views, is also really helpful. We use sections for 'pipelines' that automatically add rules and approvals at different stages, which is great for processes like hiring and content creation. This allows team members to see previous notes and track what is scheduled for delivery, with tasks being reassigned to the appropriate team member at each step.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find exporting data from Asana terrible, very messy, and basically unusable. We should have had more clear guidelines for how to use it, as we encounter some team members not using it at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to share tasks and approvals within my department, automate workflows, and track processes. It lets us see project stages and reassign tasks efficiently.
Intuitive Interface and Seamless Integrations Make Asana a Standout
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Asana is the user interface, it is very intuitive and easy to navigate even for new joiners. I really like the 'Timeline' view because it helps me visualize the project roadmap clearly. Also, the ability to create subtasks and assign them to different people makes breaking down big tasks very simple. The integration with Slack is also very seamless which we use daily
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the notifications can get frustrating if you are with f many projects, Also, I feel the reporting features could be more advanced in the basic plan, right now we have to export data to excel for deep analysis. The mobile app is good but sometimes it is a bit slow to load when data is huge
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were struggling with managing multiple projects across different teams and relying to much on emails and spreadsheets. It was getting chaotic to track who is working on what. Asana solved the visibility issue for us. Now we can track the progress of tasks in real time and it helps in reducing the internal meetings for status updates. It brings clarity on deadlines and ownership which was missing earlier in our workflow
Effortlessly Manages Tasks, Fun and Engaging
What do you like best about the product?
I like the unicorns in Asana. They're fun and they reinforce accomplishing tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout can be a bit overwhelming sometimes. I could maybe use clearer visual delineation between tasks and between sections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for tracking tasks and projects at a nonprofit, keeping tabs on tasks so I don't have to remember everything.
Enhances Collaboration and Task Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really like using Asana for project management with multiple clients. It excels in allowing cross-department engagement and collaboration on complex launches, which can be tough to manage with just email chains and documents. The sub-tasks feature is incredibly helpful for breaking down actions involving multiple stakeholders. Dependencies are great for managing tasks that rely on the completion of previous tasks, and this effectively feeds into the timeline view, allowing us to clearly see risks and impacts of any delays.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really love to use portfolios, but this isn't included in our plan, and we have maxed out our budget already. I have tested out AI rules but there is no way to easily manage them and they seem to stay active even when a project is closed which uses all of our credits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Asana allows for cross-department engagement and collaboration on complex launches, which isn't feasible with just email chains and documents. Subtasks, dependencies, and timeline views help me break down actions and manage task sequences, providing clear visibility on risks and delays.
