What do you like best about the product?
We’ve been using Asana since 2022, and it quickly became an essential part of how we manage our operations. Getting started with the platform was easy, thanks to its integrations with Gmail, Teams, Zapier, and other systems, which allowed our team to hit the ground running with our projects.

Not only is the platform easy for our team to learn and use, but the extensive training and onboarding resources provided by Asana made getting everyone up to speed a breeze. When we encounter an issue, their customer support is excellent. We also have access to the Asana Ambassador group, which has inspired our team with new ways to use the system and improve our processes.

The workflows, dashboards, and automation features have saved our staff a significant amount of time. Asana has become a system we use daily, starting our day with it and relying on it continuously. I honestly can’t imagine going back to using anything else.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area for improvement is the lack of a "Super Admin" role at the team level. For institutions with multiple, separate Asana accounts not managed by a central IT department, it's unclear how to effectively oversee all of them. It would be incredibly helpful to have a Super Admin function at the team level, rather than only at the account level. This would allow for better governance and oversight within individual departments without requiring a single administrator to manage every single account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring each step of a process is consistently is being processed, pulling in the appropirate individual at every step of the process without having to manually manage and track processes.

What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like my team uses it more for checklist and documentation, which maybe isn’t the correct way to use it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping projects and people on track

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is easy to learn. There are several videos on Youtube that help you utilize all the features of Asana. If there is something in your business or personal life that needs to get done, put it in Asana. Asana will document it, remember it, remind you and hold you accountable. It intergrates with your calendars and so many other apps. I under utilized Asana for 2 years because I simply didn't take the time to explore all it offered. After taking time to learn it, I realized it has the capability to do 80% of the things I was paying for in other intergrations and apps.

Everything in its place, nothing lost.

Great for Scaling

Asana grows with you. It doesn’t get messier the more you build.

Easy to clone projects across multiple locations

Powerful Reporting

Workload views, dashboards, and goals.

Automation Without Chaos

Asana’s automations are clean and visual. It’s built to streamline without overloading your brain.

Team Friendly

Your team doesn’t need to “learn Asana,” they can just follow instructions. And it’s not as overwhelming or confusing as other productivity apps becomes for beginners.

Integration-Ready
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest downside of using Asana is having to pay for each team member to hold a seat. My company is a small company and ranges anywhere from 5-20 people depending on the season we're in. Paying for 20 seats can get expensive, especially when your team is not fully utilizing the seat. While cost is a downside, I understand that it is necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is keeping my eyes on the operations of my business. It is holding not only my team accountable but me as well. It alerts me when someone or thing is not in alignment. It is a constant reminder of who, what, when, and where. I feel more in control of my business and myself. I enter the day knowing exactly what I need to do and when it's due. No guess work, or busy work, it shows you the work that needs to get done.

What do you like best about the product?
Different project boards and how you can link them together.
What do you dislike about the product?
For my company, portfolios would be beneficial, but I’m a small business and there’s two of us so I just can’t spend the money on the higher tier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remembering all my tasks, keeping my content calendar and all info for the posts, holds a walk through of my process with clients, and I also use it to plan my week by pulling my to-do list over into a different board and assigning it to a day.

A Non-Negotiable Tool for Our Remote Global Team

  • August 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Clarity and transparency across teams: Everyone knows what they’re responsible for and when it’s due.

Long-term information retention: Even after years, we can go back and reference old tasks, decisions, or projects.

Customizable workflows: We’ve tailored Asana to suit different teams and departments without needing separate tools.

Remote-friendly collaboration: Asana keeps our globally distributed team aligned, regardless of time zones.

Consistent improvements: New features are thoughtfully introduced without disrupting existing workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited offline functionality: Accessing and updating tasks without internet connectivity is still limited.

Pricing for larger teams: As our team has grown, the pricing has become a bigger consideration—but the value still outweighs the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves one of the biggest challenges of running a remote, globally distributed team: staying organized, aligned, and accountable without constant meetings or micromanagement.

It helps us:

Track work clearly across time zones – Tasks, due dates, assignees, and dependencies are visible to everyone, reducing miscommunication and follow-ups.

Maintain operational consistency – From onboarding new hires to managing client projects and team performance, Asana gives us structured, repeatable processes.

Retain institutional knowledge – Even when team members leave or tools change, the history of our decisions, workflows, and project outcomes stays in Asana, allowing us to learn and build from the past.

Streamline communication – Instead of juggling endless email threads or chats, we communicate directly within tasks, which keeps context intact.

Increase accountability and transparency – Everyone knows who’s doing what by when, which keeps projects moving and prevents things from slipping through the cracks.

Overall, Asana has helped us scale, stay focused, and adapt over the years—even as our team and tools have evolved.

Helps me manage my freelance projects with ease

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Asana for over a year to manage client tasks, deadlines, and small marketing projects. The platform is incredibly intuitive — I love how easy it is to set up boards, assign tasks, and organize everything by project. The timeline and calendar views help me visually track deliverables and deadlines, which is a huge plus.

One thing I really appreciate is the collaboration feature. Even when working remotely, it’s easy to communicate with teammates or clients directly within a task.

What could be better:
Sometimes, the mobile app feels a little limited, especially when trying to reorder tasks or work offline. I’d love to see better offline functionality in future updates.

Use Case:
Freelancer managing 5–7 active client projects at a time. Use Asana daily to track deliverables, send reminders, and stay organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some useful features like advanced reporting and timeline view are limited in the free plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solo user managing both personal and freelance tasks.
