  • February 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

I have many tasks across multiple customers that I need to manage with deadlines. I also need to assign these tasks to people to complete and track the progress. All this on a daily basis.
Asana makes it easy for me todo all this and more and organise my otherwise chaotic work week.

Maybe a few too many notificaitons and also It allows me to see exactly how much work still isn't done haha
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple people need to work on multiple customer projects and it allows us to track all that across our team.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use, very little learning curve, very intuitive. Able to use it right out of the gate to organize my work and create productivity, sharing information between team members is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the task creation features are clunky and often I get too many email notifications of tasks, and turning these off isn't super convenient.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana allows me to create a template that I can use again and again for our repeatable processes. I am also able to keep teams connected on activity by collaborating within Asana. I use Asana daily for my own tasks, as well as organizing teams across departments. I have found Asana to be easy to use and have found the multiple trainings available to be an invaluable source of information to increase my understanding and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to update a template, and have all updates automatically populate in all existing projects tied to that template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana keeps all teams moving in the same direction and gives us the ability to collaborate effectively.

    Logistics and Supply Chain

Great productivity tool that will increase visibility of the work I do to my leaders

  • February 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that fact that you can automate tasks using rules. This will greatly enhance our ability to streamline project management and reduce the amount of time spent on aligning multiple key contributors towards the same goal.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had a chance to use Asana enough yet to see a downside. The only issue I could forsee is that given the high level of customization, each project could be set up differently so it might cause confusion. But I think templates would easily solve this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining work of cross-functional teams; reducing the amount of fire drills we have to go through

I love the cross-departmental visiblity and the option to share tasks to multiple projects. Easy to create new projects and processes, Use it daily to track my tasks and projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have co-owners of projects - many are not a one person show. Getting started took a bit of time to figure out what template worked best for us. Wish there had been more Asana driven guidance or assistance on getting set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana makes it possible for everyone to track their work to a central project and manage all subtasks.

Asana has ignited a positive cycle in which we elevate our project management skills then work smarter in Asana, and round and round. It's insane how much we get done.

Has a good user interface and can be used for project management and teamwork

  • February 27, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I use Asana mainly for project management and teamwork.

What is most valuable?

The solution's user interface is very good. The solution's alerts and notifications also help a lot. The additional feature of integrations with other tools is also very useful.

What needs improvement?

More features can be added.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Asana for almost six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Asana is a completely stable solution, and I haven't had any issues with the solution's stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Asana is a scalable solution. We have been expanding and adding many team members and haven't faced any challenges with the solution's scalability. Less than 100 people are currently using Asana in our organization, but we're planning to increase the usage soon.

How was the initial setup?

The solution's initial setup is very, very simple. I am also working as an admin for Asana for my team. The solution's implementation involves a couple of clicks, and you are onboarded.

What about the implementation team?

We implemented Asana through an in-house team. The solution's deployment was very simple and didn't take more than a few weeks.

What other advice do I have?

The solution's notifications and integration supports remote collaboration by updating the team on how the project is moving ahead. You can integrate Asana with Microsoft Teams. You can set up the alerts, which is very beneficial for getting updates.

Project management covers the whole delegation and accountability portion of Asana. It tells us when a particular subpart of the project was assigned to a person and when it was moved to the next phase. We are working with the software version of Asana.

The solution's delegation and tracking features are very beneficial, considering that we work in a hybrid model. Sometimes we are in the office, and sometimes we are not. It helps a lot when you don't have to chase people, and you can directly refer to Asana's board and understand what's going on. Asana has completely adapted to the evolving needs of our projects over time.

Our focus while implementing the solution was mainly to cover the project management of our teams by ensuring the stages and required alerts. We ensured that the dashboards were up to mark during our planning conversations. These things were considered while doing the implementation.

I would recommend Asana to other users based on their use cases. Users looking for a project management and collaboration tool should choose Asana.

Overall, I rate Asana a nine out of ten.

Great tool for getting personal and team work done

  • February 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is good for managing work, both individually and within a team. The commenting or status updates on tasks is very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the most part I can't see too many problems with the product. Maybe an embedded document system would be nice rather than having to link out to a third party system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organising the priority of work the team needs to do.
