Great for very detailed and projects that follow the same steps over and over
What do you like best about the product?
You can automate many things and constantly be updated on what step of a project you are on. Another great feature is the ability to customize the project details you want to include and dependencies to the next steps that can't be completed until a task is done.
What do you dislike about the product?
You are pretty limited with the free version as the different views you can use. The timeline view is most helpful but only available on the paid version. It isn't costly to do the cheapest plan, but having all the views and specific features of the view you have to pay for would work better for me. Otherwise, I'm paying for a lot of stuff I don't need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This program is helping us to create workflows in our departments that didn't exist before. Tasks are assigned automatically based on completing a previous task, you can connect all your documents and links to project files, and communication with one another is as easy as typing a chat message.
Asanais a great space to manage multiple client projects at once.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the alternating views of tasks in Asana. I also like how you can implement rules to filter out which tasks are due today, this week, in general, etc. I really appreciate the little unicorn graphic that appears when you complete a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
What is least helpful about Asana is that tasks can only be not done or done. I'd prefer it if there was a status indicator for "in progress", "edit", etc. It would also be better if My Tasks showed which project each task was a part of because I do the same thing for multiple clients, so I have to go all the way into each project to see which task is for which project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is remote, so Asana is serving as our central project management database. We are able to keep track of all client tasks and who's doing what and when, so we can overall be in better communication and stay productive.
Asana for Product Management
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple to use. Can easily collaborate with multiple teams on multiple projects and keep things organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing structure is not ideal. They do not increment on a per seat basis but after the first 30 seats, they start incrmeneting on multiples of 10. I had 31 users on my team and had to pay for 40 users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to create tasks, add dependencies, attach files and references and communicate. This helps my team stay focused and collaborate on a single platforms.
Great tool for Project Management!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Asana allows you to create subtasks for every single task in a project. It is very useful that it allows many different views of the project as a list, board, timeline, calendar, workflow, and more. There's just so many options!
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana has so many options that it can be overwhelming. It took some time to get used to the interface because I had to click on so many different things. It can be time-consuming to set up a small project. It is better for tracking big projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps my team set and track our goals, OKRs, and KRs. It works well for big projects and a big team, so it keeps us on track and allows us to keep each person accountable for what we are responsible for.
Easy Interface
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use. Once you take their online training, it's not as complicated as it 1st may seem.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you are working on projects, it does not connect to our time management tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped our team stay on track with projects and tasks.
An outstanding platform for project timeline and coordination.
What do you like best about the product?
In the UI UX, all of the features are best. You can manage your project with the team; especially you are in tight schedule and need to finish your deadline
What do you dislike about the product?
the expensive price of the subscription. But overall still one of the best application so far
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Schedule the deadline for projects like social media and video.
It's hard to assign your team, and create brief with the platform.
It's hard to assign your team, and create brief with the platform.
Easy to set up, use, and collaborate on
What do you like best about the product?
It was very easy to set up, become familiar with, and begin using. Creating tasks and assigning to different users was also very helpful. The Kanban approach to task progress was also a good visual way to track task assignments and progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not believe we fully utilized the capacity/utilization capabilities of the platform, and did not use any time tracking functionality if it was available. Our use-case was very focused on assigning work to different team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were beginning to work cross-departmentally on tasks, and Asana helped us to provide direction for, assign out work, and also track its progress through our workflow.
Great for smaller projects, but struggles with complex ones.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite features of Asana are the extensive knowledge base, the helpful community, and the simplicity of use. Its community is highly engaged and usually has answers or suggestions for handling most problems, and customer service suggests best practices. While more complex competitors offer more options for personalization, Asana's ease of use and onboarding makes it a good choice for our smaller projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some fundamental features are missing from Asana that would be useful for advanced users. The Asana API struggles when working with massive workspaces, so adding conditional rules or integrating the platform with third-party software better are two possible enhancements. Zapier partially resolves the second part, but it generates additional costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has allowed me to streamline the process of providing project updates, conference summaries, and weekly reports, all while decreasing the number of meetings we need to hold. My favorite part is being able to update my dashboard with clear, concise descriptions of progress on tasks/projects for higher executives.
Asana and agendrix
What do you like best about the product?
I like asana because I use it for my work, and it makes everything much more straightforward. It offers a lot of multiple options that are free, accessible and easy to use. I use the list version to put different group tasks and list what has to be done underneath. Then you can check what has been done, and the task disappears. Helps me remember a lot of things!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really know what I dislike to be honest, I really like all aspects of it. I think the only thing that could be worked on is the application version of asana which can be annoying to use and not as simple as on the computer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping with my adhd, since I always forget everything, I now have the reflex to write my thoughts and future tasks in asana right away. I then go check my tasks at least once a day so I'm sure I don't forget anything that has to be done that day or week.
Ultimate tool for task management
What do you like best about the product?
It helps in coordinating work and streamlining projects in a single place. It also offers excellent integrations with various other applications such as slack, Figma, GitHub and others. It has a template library which helps us to get started quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It offers various features but takes time to learn and utilize them as it has a steep learning curve. Also, sometimes switching between workspaces is quite bothersome as it opens a new window.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it to keep teams updated on their tasks. It provides excellent customization features to my workspace to match my need which helps me streamline various processes to increase productivity.
