Who. What. When. Clear way to reduce conflict.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is built on the basics: track who will do what, by when. This is the foundation of integrity. The many features of Asana build upon this foundation, with a rich, easy user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana's flexibility (it can be configured for many different use cases) can be hard for beginners to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps teams, individuals, and organizations to clarify and communicate on their way to achieving their objectives. I find it intuitive to track my deliverables, coordinate with other stakeholders, and connect work across functions.
Great project/task management tool for a small but growing team
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is helpful for our small nonprofit team as we grow both in size and need for systems/accountability. The project templates are helpful and so are the rules and forms you can create for workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
So many of the helpful features are only available when you upgrade your plan, and that information is not very clear when you watch tutorial or help videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up project templates has saved us so much time and helped our team plan/work further ahead on projects so we are not doing things as rushed/last minute as we were before.
A great project management tool with lots of customisable features.
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Asana is the ability to manage my team's resources using the workload function. This enables me to adequately manage my team's workload, ensure no single person is taking on too much, and identify capacity gaps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to assign tasks to more than one person at a time and for dates in templates to be able to be set to "x days after preceding task" rather than after the start date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workload management, project management from one centralised location, the ability to see all of a colleague's work in one place (across different projects) makes it easier to reallocate work in the event of absence.
Added efficiency and streamlining of processes
What do you like best about the product?
Improved work organization, reduced silos/increased cross-team collaboration, documentation/improvement of processes, clear communication around projects, tasks, and due dates...among others!
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Asana to be somewhat limited in how workflows can be customized and automated. Some workflows need to be adapted to Asana rather than vice versa, which can be frustrating at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking of progress and clarity around timelines. This has helped me in my communication with external stakeholders that I can back up with data (custom reports).
Good Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, the UX of Asana is very clean, and our team enjoys using the platform. We like the functionality of portfolios, projects, etc. Overall the platform is a good mix of customization while also working well out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two significant features that are underutilized by our team are reporting and templates. Overall the templating feature could be more robust. I'd also say the workflows are a little confusing to set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize asana to make sure our teams are aligned internally and tasks aren't getting missed. Additionally, we can assign work and discuss to make sure our teams are properly completing.
Asana has been extremely beneficial to our workflow.
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful part is keeping everything our team needs in one single place and being able to stay on top of everyone's schedules including my own. This has proven to keep everyone on top of their work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everyone at our company uses Asana in a different way and there is almost a little too many options of different workflows for this program so it can be difficult to set a SOP at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping me solve having to deal with a ton of different clients while also being able to stay on top of all of these while learning more and more about Asana.
Asana is extremely user-friendly!
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to use, many support materials are available for users, and there are many ways to do similar tasks. I'm constantly learning new tips and tricks about better building projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve coming from other PM systems, but I'm glad to have made the switch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to easily capture any small tasks that get requested through email; it's also easy to adjust deadlines or swap assignees
A great collaboration tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana works excellently for asynchronous work, I use it every day so I can see my objectives for the week and make daily reports of what I do each day. Once you know how to use it it can be straightforward to work on. But the way to use it can vary depending on the company you work for.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana can have some difficulties when used like bugs, which is not common but when it does you have to contact customer service which has worked well. The app version for the computer is pretty helpful and has excellent tools for collaboration work but some features can only be used in a paid version. Asana should prepare better for the people who are just starting on the app, it can be daunting if you never have used an app like this before.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is excellent for making OKRs, project management, and sharing media easily with your coworkers. I cannot complain about this tool because is good for making your day by day easily, however, I think Asana should share more information about its features and how to use them properly.
Complete, easy to use and good looking
What do you like best about the product?
Asana works great as a visually organizing task managing software that you dont need to install. It has beautiful animations and clean interface that appeals to all users
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model makes it difficult to consider for upgrading, specially on a very crowded space of other alternatives. Also integrations are great but need to expand to a more complete tracking of time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we can follow task updates in real time and organize projects in an easy way. Also asana has great compatibility with gantt platforms to make gantt tracking in real time a possibility
Neat, comprehensive task manager and collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love the "centralness" of information between myself and my collaborators. It helps us keep tabs on the status of our many projects and acts as a convenient depository of important files and links.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its alerts can be overwhelming, and its user interface can get in the way of easily creating projects from templates at times. Also, I'd like Asana to warn me that notifications are duplicated when I'm creating projects from templates or duplicates. It's happened that people I hadn't intended to tag for a new project were blitzed with email alerts when I created a new project based on an existing comparable project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me collaborate easily with all my collaborators. My function requires me to work across multiple disciplines all the time, and Asana helps us all keep each other up to date and on track.
