Asana: A versatile system for monitoring projects

  • September 30, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Asana is how it makes setting up and maintaining collaborative projects easy. You can quickly create reminders for upcoming tasks and help team members learn from each other and take on more responsibilities. With monthly charges being unnecessary, the software promotes efficient work distribution by forming distinct groups within the workforce. Plus, we can easily schedule the next step when we receive feedback from customers or groups. And thanks to its well-designed user interface, navigation between sections and activities is a breeze! Em for monitoring projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I like how in Asana, only one user can be assigned to each task because this makes it difficult for people working on projects together since they have to constantly communicate with each other about what needs to be done next. Also, the objective of specifying who is responsible for every activity kind of defeats the purpose of having multiple people work on one project since everyone has their specific job instead of being able to help out where needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps distribute project tasks evenly among team members, so the workload is shared fairly. With Asana, we can also see how much force is currently being applied to each team member. This helps us keep track of our progress and ensure that everyone works effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
It helps keep our project moving forward and our team can add/see what tasks need to be completed to keep the project on plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time I have not come across any issues or down side of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our benefit of using Asana is that it makes having a team of people in different locations and from different organizations come together for a common goal. Asana makes it easy to see what is getting completed and what still needs attenetion.

A feasible alternative to project administration tools

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana because it is an excellent tool for keeping track of projects and tasks. The ability to share boards and progress with team members makes it easy to keep everyone on the same page, and the customizable task lists make it possible to tailor each project according to specific needs. I also appreciate that Asana can be accessed online or from a mobile device - this allows me to work from anywhere, which is highly convenient. Overall, I believe that Asana is an excellent productivity tool that can benefit anyone who takes advantage of its features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I like many things about Asana. It's challenging to use and cumbersome compared to other apps like Todoist. It's also disorderly and disorganized. Additionally, there are no desktop applications for Asana, which can be inconvenient in certain circumstances where web-based methods wouldn't work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team and I could stay on track with our work and ahead of schedule with the assistance of calendars and notifications.

Asana is an excellent online collaboration and meeting software

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is how user-friendly the interface is. It's easy to get started with the application, and once you're familiar with it, it's simple to organize tasks and keep everyone on track. Additionally, I appreciate maintaining a log of all the jobs I've outsourced so that my team members can be reminded to get back on track if they fall behind. Finally, another great feature of Asana is the work calendars which make it easy for me to determine and reschedule planned start dates, durations, or job ends as necessary, including documents, reports, or emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a great program, but there are a few things I don't like about it. Among the primary restrictions is that only one user can be assigned responsibility for tasks at a time. This can make it challenging to divide work among team members to complete it. Additionally, there's no way to monitor how much time each team member spends on a specific job, which might make meeting deadlines and staying within budget more difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Asana platform helps coordinate the marketing team's efforts to generate content and achieve objectives. In addition, this help facilitates the onboarding of new employees. After using Asana, we noticed a significant improvement in output.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is quite the project management platform, equipped with all the required tools for planning, monitoring and anlysis from start to finish. I like it because it helps you keep track of progress and timelines. Great at keep everything on schedule as planned.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only negative is an initial learning curve that is not very straightforward. It is also too general, with some platforms out there being very feature specific. Otherwise it delivers in terms of helping one execute according to plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Has helped with project planning, tracking, scheduling, collaboration, communication, teamwork and goal realization. Its made resource management easier and more effective thanks to maximizing through achievable timelines and better decision making based on process management.

Visualizing Projects, Timelines and to-do lists

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana integrates with Slack and is pretty easy to use from an intuition/familiarity standpoint. I have used Trello in the past when I was the only one working on tasks/initiatives, Asana has allowed me to add additional team members, project types and calendars!
What do you dislike about the product?
This is nothing against Asana, one of my team members is less familiar with how to add a task to a project so I have to go in and do that for them. They are new to tech, so it's opening up an opportunity to train them from a SOP perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
--Managing the many moving parts (details, project leads, timelines, cross-team visibility) of a marketing department.
--Allowing for planning ahead and tracking initiatives with accuracy.
--Minimizing assets getting "lost in email"

A good project management tool having multiple features which can be used for free.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the complete package for project and task management. Features like task assignments in specific projects to specific people and due dates are extremely easy to navigate and use. You can integrate Asana with various apps, we primarily use it with Slack. We can get an instant message when any task is updated, which is a very useful feature. You can add all the related assets like screenshots, documents, sheets in the task itself and the comment feature ensures that you have the relevant information secure with the task if you want to revisit it in the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many cons of Asana, but if I have to, the costliness is extremely high in Asana. If you want to use the premium features like automation, goals, project portfolios, you need to pay a lot of money to Asana per month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a media agency, and through Asana, we can effectively manage the tasks for each team member in individual projects efficiently. It helps us keep track of the different deliverables to the client and keep track of the projects.

A web-based tool for managing and coordinating multiple projects in one place

  • September 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
there are many things to like about Asana, but the most significant benefit is that it gives us access to many unique features and tools. It integrates seamlessly with other popular products like Microsoft Office 365, Google Drive, and Salesforce is a massive plus in my book. I also really appreciate being able to customize the dashboard according to my needs and preferences. And having all the project management features we need – tasks, subtasks, reports, etc. - under one roof makes our team much more productive overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is an excellent team tool, but the subscription price is my biggest complaint. The free version has numerous potential uses, but the cost of deploying the premium version across an entire domain appears high. Non-profits can receive a reduction that makes it more affordable, but Asana is still out of reach for many individuals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Asana system is primarily used to track team members' entry and exit. It is beneficial for monitoring the development of finished and ongoing projects and their tasks, subtasks, and any integration or collaborative updates. This feature is highly recommended.

Clean Project Management Software

  • September 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is easy to use, and it integrates well with other softwares or communication tools like your CRM and slack. It also integrates with time tracking softwares that allow you to track the time you spend on each task.
Asana easily allows you to manage tasks, workflows, and easily communicate with other departments. Custom rules can be made to move tasks to new projects or section based upon specific actions taken which is a very helpful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if they would develop a way to create sub-sections within projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are helping streamline task management and workflow with all of our employees within our company. They also have helped us with our communication and being able to streamline the efficient completion of projects.
