Life changing for stable work life
What do you like best about the product?
The Asana platform has a user-friendly interface with a clean and modern design. Navigating through the platform is easy, and it helps me quickly find tasks and update projects without getting lost in a sea of menus.
One of the game-changing features for me is the collaboration tools. I can tag teammates, leave comments, and attach files, which ensures that everyone is always on the same page.
Asana's task management capabilities are top-notch. Breaking down projects into smaller tasks with due dates keeps me organized and focused. Additionally, the visual progress bars are very motivating.Lastly, the custom fields and task templates are wonderful. They allow me to tailor projects to fit my specific needs as a graphic artist.

What do you dislike about the product?
I had to spend a lot of time adjusting the settings to avoid being overwhelmed by the sheer volume of notifications. Asana is great for managing tasks but lacks visual design tools, so I still need separate software for my graphic design work. There's a learning curve to fully utilize all of Asana's features, which can be daunting for new users. While the free version is good, some of the best features are only available with a paid subscription, which can be expensive for freelancers or small teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's keeping my team on track and organized. We have a lot of different projects going on simultaneously, so having everything in one place really helps us stay focused and efficient. Plus, the task assignment feature allows us to easily delegate tasks to team members and keep track of their progress.
One major benefit is the ability to set deadlines and due dates for tasks. This helps us prioritize our workload and make sure important tasks are completed on time. The task notifications also ensure that everyone is aware of upcoming deadlines and can plan accordingly.Another great feature is the comment section, where team members can leave notes or ask questions about specific tasks.

What do you dislike about the product?
1) For advanced insights into projects and programs, there is more that can be done.
Example 1: Doesn't allow for more complex numerical fields to be created unfortunately. For example, when rolling up hours spent accross a teams projects, we cannot add a calculation to calculate time spent per program or project manager. You can create formulas using fields and not custom inputs. There is an opportunity for this type of development to enhance the dashboards function.
2) Also sometimes there are minor functions that can be set up better.
Example 2: The date field is called "due date" even though you can add a start date in this field.
Also you are automatically directed to enter a due date and have to remember to click and add the start date as an additional step.
Overall the date field is not optimal which it should be as start dates are super important.
That being said, this is minor and can be worked with. Hope it can be improved in future.
Like any tool there is room for enhancement and improvements.

I tell everyone to use Asana
What do you like best about the product?
As part of a small team that works remotely, creating workflows is crucial. Asana helps us stay organized and on track, and also helps if someone else needs to step in to take a project over the finish line in the case of another team member's absence. It's super easy to use and customize to our needs.
I tell all of my professional colleagues to use Asana.
I tell all of my professional colleagues to use Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
It definitely involves taking some time to learn the platform, and works best only when the entire team buys in and uses it. However, taking that time is totally worth it because it increases efficiency in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps our remote staff collaborate efficiently and stay on task. By switching to Asana we've been able to eliminate all internal email communications, onboard new team members, and bring huge projects over the finish line that normally wouldn't be accomplished by a small staff.
