Much more than a to-do list

What do you like best about the product?
Great tool for small team to organize weekly tasks but also keep in line with higher goals. It helps to the team to stay accountable for who is doing what by when.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime team stuck with bigger tasks and they do not follow up them on Asana and forget to use it. Finding some tasks or attachments could be difficult if it was created in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accountability of the team and connection between daily tasks with vision and higher goals. Project in the past can help us in better future tasks managment.

Asana the solution for remote work teams

  • July 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to edit task publications in real time, so that all team members can see the changes, progress and corrections of project activities. The program also allows us to plan and schedule tasks in the calendar and assign them to different team members, as well as to monitor the progress of the project and my activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a tool that I can hardly find any flaws, I could only say that I would like it to be a little more visual, since it would be much easier to monitor the progress of my tasks and the project in general. If I could say something else, it would be that its design is not as attractive as other programs, but that's just my opinion. Otherwise, I think it is a complete program that covers everything the team needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use asana to improve communication between the remote work team of our departments and it is a fantastic tool, as it allows us to better organize tasks and projects, as well as to order our activities by priority. It also includes a chat where we can send and receive files, which allows us a much more fluid communication between team members.

Super useful to schedule work and make sure you keep to it!

What do you like best about the product?
I think what I like best it's the design, the different types of layouts (that I like to change depending on the type of project), and the animations after you complete a task. Particularly, the collaborative aspect and the fact that you can do ALL your work and conversations in ONE place. You can leave comments, tag people on projects or tasks, comment by project or by task, lace deadlines, get notifications, it is really great
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't think that there is something that I don't like or that I dislike so much that I would want to have it changed. Maybe the price is a problem for individuals that are, for instance, working students; but overall if you are part of a company the price is great and it is super useful to keep track of complex projects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative projects can be very messy, and sometimes tasks get lost in the process of assigning them and things do not get done on time. Asana helps organizing all tasks and deadlines for big projects that have many collaborators, and it is not messy at all

    Computer Software

Asana is good for beginners

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Asana is that it can easily integrate with other software. For example, it is compatible with MS Teams and tasks can be easily shared for access and team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tagging items within a drop down list is not the most intuitive or visually appealing. Having larger arrows denoting that there are tasks associated with it could be helpful for those who visual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps keep me on track. With so many projects on the go, it's easy to lose track of everything that needs to be completed, but having lists managed through this software is a game changer!

Organization is key

What do you like best about the product?
Having the option to set different projects with different formats, as we use Asana for all of our company areas. Our tasks tend to be quite different depending on the area and Asana caters to all our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish some things were more customizable, but definitely not a deal breaker. I also think that when you create a task it should open on the right side so you can start adding info right away. Whwn I'm on a big project with several tasks I usually have to look for the new empty task instead of just typing away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to improve the communication between all areas of our company, and also as a way of documenting the developing processes and keeping the information in hand. Being able to easily search for information has saved us a lot of time!

Very intuitive tool to allow teams to organize their workflows seamlessly and encourages team work

What do you like best about the product?
Friendly interface , easy to understand and doesn't need a learning curve.
You can build your project and actuvuty plans effortlessly.
Improves the overall clarity of the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is not very competitive specially in the local market here where everyone is tied with Microsoft products which mostly comes included in O365 now with very low pricing if not free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of project planning tools are hard to use and understand and indeed requires a learning curve which is not the case with asana , also I like how the collaboration is implemented

What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana because it gives me a variety of ways to view and manage my projects and tasks.
On Kanban boards, lists, calendars, portfolios, workloads, and schedules, I can work on my tasks.
My Projects can be configured as updatable and customizable dashboards.
I can transfer Google Docs, PDF and JPG files between team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app has some limitations and works best on a full computer screen.
Tasks cannot be assigned to more than one user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is useful because it gives us a clear picture of where we are with our projects.
I am able to automate workflows, repetitive operations and processes thanks to it.
Teams can coordinate schedules and stay informed of any changes or developments without exchanging emails using the calendar view.

Too prone to monetize

  • July 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana every day for several hours. Asana is almost my company's internal homepage. Asana is robustly designed, with a very well-thought UX. Good and well-documented API, for those interested in custom reports
What do you dislike about the product?
In the balance between long-term value-added goals, on one hand, s and short-term monetization, Asana is too biased toward making money: little meaningful development, weird membership plans, a partnership with Harvest, that is the most expensive and rude time-keeping platform;
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a quick way to assign and follow assigned tasks, and a decent way to visualize the progress of a project. And has a decent "guest" membership that is very useful to us.

What do you like best about the product?
project sections to categorize different tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
First-hand user requires more time to adopt it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organize not just the daily task, but also can backup the documentation with the internal search functions. It really helps me save time to find docs.

Asana for Research Task Management

  • July 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The wide variety of modes and functionalities, including which tasks you want to show or not (you can arrange this by date/name, etc) and the ability to mark it as complete and have it automatically moved to another "file". Overall, a great task management platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana can be quite complicated to use in the beginning. The layout is polluted and confusing, full of different parts and modes, which you can't hide. However, once you've been using it for a while, it gets easier. Glitches are also somewhat common.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to manage different research tasks that our team has to complete. It also allows us to track automatically which team member completed which task and mark it on a separate google doc.
