The best of this type of tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's very useful however it can be challenging to get the most of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
So many functions it's easy to get lost in the tool. Some initial training would be very useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a team leader it's useful to see what everyone in the team is doing and priotizing to make sure everyone's on the same page.
A good tool for project management in teams
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a very detailed tool for work management in teams. Not only does it have capabilities for managing tasks but also defining teams, grouping tasks into very logical units for those teams and a lot more. There are several integrations in Asana most importantly Jira, so you can actually bring engineering and non-engineering teams together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though adequate for most use cases, Asana is not that detailed for personal task management. I was on the lookout for a tool to manage my tasks along with the calendar. But, Asana did not have the calendar overlay on tasks inside the app. Also, personal tasks still go into team projects in Asana which was not very useful for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Asana for task management at a personal level. However, I did not progress beyond the trial as I was not able to set up a workflow in Asana. A bit more detailing for personal work management would have helped.
Best and easy to use for project/activity mgmt
What do you like best about the product?
Easily track activity stage of each project with time stamp and super useful to collaborate internally and with external users, summary view is the best very helpful to outline a project and presentation

Cannot think of any, it has well suited our environment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We being startup have several projects easy to capture each tasks and deliverables, assigning tasks with notifications being sent on slack messaging was super useful plus we are using Okta as single sign on and Asana integrated well with Okta SSO
Asana can revolutionize the way you manage projects
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for tracking large complex projects. It is highly customizable both per project and overall for your organization. Once your team is fully on board, it is simple to look up where a project is and what it needs to be completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding process can be long and difficult. You really need everyone to embrace the system or it just won't work. A partially onboarded team is actually worse than not using the system at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is invaluable in tracking multiple ongoing campaigns as well as smaller projects with important deadlines. Once we tailored our templates and new job queues, it's cut in half the number of emails and meetings needed and made everything far more understandable, especially in an environment where some or all team members are working from home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend Asana. Know that the initial setup and getting your team to buy into using the system can be difficult, but once you do it can make your workflow significantly easier, more accurate, and easier to archive and review.

Very easy way to manage your team projects with a great visibility of the usage of the resources

Not sure... maybe if you want to have a single sign-on method...

Choas managing staff, difficulty dealing with project timelines.

Great features but becomes expensive
What do you like best about the product?
East to use, and great features - especially for communication and status updates. We integrate this with Everhour (which works well) as well as Slack for collaboration and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price compared to other tools really stacks up for a company of our size. When our growing team all needs a license to collaborate and track time, I worry that the costs outweigh the benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, collaboration, time tracking, quality tracking, stakeholder management, management reporting, dashboards, progress overview, release notes, sprint management.
Asana helped us to finish our projects on time
What do you like best about the product?
One of the features I like the most is that it turns an email into a task within the project management. The drag and drop is a new feature that I value and that allows us to move faster with the progress of the tasks. The fact that it has chat included makes it much more useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its reports can improve a lot, we need reports with more details of each activity. The program is not very intuitive at the beginning, which cost us a little to adapt to it, it has some hidden functions that do not allow us to get the full potential of the program. Its mobile version is not very intuitive either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a project management software that really allowed us to fully integrate our work team and improve the flow of daily activities. With its system and simple functions, we were able to get the activities accomplished in the stipulated time. We were able to meet our clients on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although we use this program to improve our workflow and finish our projects in a timely manner, the truth is that Asana offers many other functions that would be useful to companies regardless of their size. For us, it has helped us enormously to ensure that the activities and progress of our projects are seen and fulfilled.

*Asana is difficult for beginners to understand when starting out, as there are so many options to choose from when it comes to establishing the ideal workflow.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is our favorite tool for many reasons. We use Asana frequently because it makes it easier to share tasks between projects. Asana is constantly improving the performance of existing features and adding new ones. Each release seems to benefit our team. Asana is easy to use and organize.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can improve the interface and collapse the top panel to make the site more compact. Documents cannot be dragged from Asana to your computer. It is necessary to download the file and save it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In Asana, a team can store all relevant information about the sub-items. Instead of sharing in the cloud, all files and images can be stored on one platform.
Increase productivity with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I like that tasks can be organized as lists or kanban boards, and the details of each task are easily organized. Collaborations are easily done by writing comments or sending messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I can think of this time. I like it so far. However, it can be a bit confusing to those who are new at using project management tools like this. So there's a little learning curve.

It allows me to easily see which tasks to prioritize, what tasks are in progress and those that are already completed, or those that are pending and waiting for more details to proceed.
