Asana - User Friendly Task Management

  • April 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is that it uses a user-friendly visual interface that helps keep track of the tasks and the progress of each task. It's easy to use with the drag and drop function.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Asana is that sometimes it can get complicated with dependencies and linked tasks. Also, I'm not aware of a function that separates tasks into their priority and urgency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits of Asana are that it helps organize tasks for the team. It helps with saving time and allows the team to understand what everyone is doing across the department.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a great tool that helps visualize tasks and task management into a user-friendly tool.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

All in one project management solution

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive and user-friendly. I like that there are multiple options for organizing or viewing a project, so folks on the team who like a calendar view can opt for that, while those who like the timeline view can use that. It makes it flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a small team we are using the basic version, which has limited features. We can do most of what we need to do, but to get the most use out of the product it's clear you need to opt for the full premium version. So there are functions I just haven't even tried.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has definitely helped our team collaborate and communicate on joint projects more clearly, reducing emails and miscommunications. We are able to track deadlines and all the steps of a project in one place, and in fact keep all the projects from all departments in one place, which helps the whole team understand everyone's workflow better.

The best project management software

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is phenomenal with the clarity they can provide into projects. Team members can message each other within a particular task or subtask for quick and easy clarity into projects. Additionally, Asana keeps a very clear record of any changes or additions made to a project, task, or subtask, including but not limited to title changes, due date changes, priority level changes, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their reporting dashboards can be a little tricky to navigate at times — we've tried to establish a team dashboard to help us run through our tasking at weekly meetings but we haven't found a setup that suits our needs quite yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team grew from 2 people to 6 people in a very short time. This rapid increase in team members and project participants prompted us to make the switch to a better project management platform, one where we could lay out unlimited tasks and subtasks and create high clarity into our projects.

Need to be more integrated

What do you like best about the product?
UI
workflow Builder
Boards for tracking
Colour Attractiveness
Reporting
Progress Goals
What do you dislike about the product?
No Jira Integration
No Salesforce Integration
No Zendesk Integration
No Aha Integration
No Miro Integration
Not supported by recognized software tracking tools
Too much time usage for developers and leads to check progress
Also, if a company has Jira, then PMs have to invest double time, one on Jira and the other on Asana
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits of tracking personal and professional work: I can create a separate space in Asana where I can manage both. Tracking team progress and checking how much workload they had in the last week and whether their workload is manageable in the near future or not. What's the average timeframe each developer or designer has invested in a week regularly? Working hours, efficiency, and productivity.

Asana for integrated project management

  • April 15, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is pretty intuitive and allowed for our team to quickly ramp up use. The external integrations help us to avoid the duplicative work of copying over tasks/action items, especially the gmail extension. Setting up projects by functional area has allowed our team to break down siloed information and have a more comprehensive sense of progress across the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the access is not particularly intuitive and you have to remember to add teammates to individual projects. Automations are helpful, but you need to have the pricier tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving our project management issues. We have all of our team's action items in one place and can now get a good high-level overview of progress. There has been a significant decrease in things 'slipping through the cracks' and we've realized how siloed our information had been previously. It has opened up collaboration tremendously.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a lot that Asana can do and offer your organization. If you have multiple projects and/or customer engagements, then Asana is great for keeping everything organized and your team accountable. If you are looking for a simple to-do list app, Asana may be more than you need. The integrations make Asana a better choice over similar competitors and if you are willing to spend the money, the automations that are available can really make things run quickly and efficiently.

Asana is exceptional project management tool

  • April 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Asana at my company every day to schedule meetings and assign tasks. It has proven to be a very useful tool for us. I find it incredibly helpful to plan events, get ready for meetings, and track complex projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite being a good project management tool, there are a few limitations, such as the fact that the mobile app cannot move or adjust tasks in the sticky board view. I also believe that if someone is initially using the tool, it may seem complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was very simple for my team and me to manage multiple projects using Asana since it offers multiple ways to manage tasks including adding comments. Asana allows me to manage multiple projects by creating tasks and assigning them to others, as well as tracking their progress.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana has become my go-to solution for managing projects at one place because it gives you a virtual board to use. That's why I have recommended Asana.
