Asana is KEY To My Team's Success
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful part of Asana for our team is the custom fields function. We have been able to use custom fields to mark each task with project numbers to easily search and reference projects completed even years in the past. We also create custom fields to mark which team and team member is requesting each task. This way we can also use the reporting function (which is also amazing) to track which department or person is requesting the most from our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the biggest downside to Asana is its flexibility. Like any software there are many times where I want Asana to do something that just isn't possible. For example, when you are creating subtasks within Asana, it doesn't copy all of your settings from the main task. So you have to go in and manually enter that info for each subtask which is very time-consuming. Also, awhile back they changed the coloring system in Asana which totally messed up our team's entire workflow. I have to use Asana in color blind mode just to fix this issue, which is a really wonky workaround for software as robust as Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our team the main problem Asana is solving is streamlining our workflow and tracking of projects. And I don't mean the day-to-day tracking because that is simple. But for our design team, we create projects daily that can be repurposed and reused in the future. We have hundreds of design tasks completed a month, so where Asana excels for us is the fact that I can search for something we made in September 2021 and if I use the right filters that I have set up, can find that specific file in minutes. I have never had a project management tool that has allowed me to do this the way Asana does.

Asana makes sure all my projects stay on track. I love being able to log tasks when I remember them to ensure I don't forget any important steps along the way

It would be great if some of the premium features were available on the basic plan

Asana is a great benefit when working with different project teams. It creates visibility and ensures everyone can see the status of projects

What do you like best about the product?
I like a centralized tool that all team members can see each other's progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adoption can be a challenge. There has to be a leadership champion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration features in Teams has been very useful. I'm glad to see this continuing to develop.
Asana Organizes My Workflow and Goal-Setting
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can see my tasks and workflow in several different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there's anything I'd change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing me to collaborate on projects with my colleagues and track progress.
Easy, Effective and Efficient for Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily make sense of complicated tasks and scheduled items makes it easy to go about your workday. The glace view on the home screen is also a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think more education about how some of the complex items behave could be useful, although the tutorials do exist. The team has done a very good job overall and that needs to be said.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage multiple projects, all of the different kinds using one software called Asana. It has made our process and lives easier. Managing on both high and low level has never been easier.
Perfect for a Spectrum of Businesses
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to segment out the different types of work that need to be done. It's also easy to track the status of a project in real-time and communicate with collaborators.
What do you dislike about the product?
Without having a professional license, the features can be quasi-limited. It's also difficult to integrate other apps or products, which a big draw the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the issue of ambiguity around projects and tasks. It helps to provide me with real-time details so I can make decisions quickly and efficiently. It's also made it easier to have discussions with other collaborators/allows for transparency.

The ability to correspond on projects with people outside of our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to assign one task to a team or multiple people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have moved away from hundreds of back and forth emails.
Asana is easy to use, has tons of possibilities for team and individual collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of organizing priorities, setting deadlines and subtasks. And the assignment of tasks, fundamental.
What do you dislike about the product?
almost nothing. The difficulty of customizing projects if you create them yourself (List, Board...). Eliminate recurring tares (sometimes they keep appearing).

Asana removes communication barriers between very different teams (product, support, IT, locations).

I love that Asana provides full visibility into our projects and client accounts.

I wish it were easier to link due dates on tasks.

Asana is helping us adhere to our timelines and make sure our internal processes are working and being followed.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive the software is. It's like Asana knows what I need and gives me the option to do it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the mobile app layout was more like the desktop and web apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana makes reminding my colleagues about deadlines less awkward! Ultimately making things less late and communication more open.
