Great Workflow, Want even more Customization

  • October 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the workflow features on Asana, and the ability to connect projects to goals. It's helpful to have many different options for connecting my team to different initiatives. Overall it is very user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little bit expensive for my team. I wish there was an affordable option for up to ten people. More importantly, I wish I could customize the workflow features even more by referencing specific tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping my team on track with our goals, connecting our work, and helping us to keep track of all of the different moving parts of our business. I like being able to have all of our work in one place so that I can get a good overview of the business health as a whole. Asana helps me to make sure tiny but important tasks don't slip through the cracks.

Great for keeping track of important work tasks

  • October 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Nice to keep track of personal projects or tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to re-assign tasks easily. Not the easiest when there are a lot of different tasks involved in a workflow. Microsoft has a similar product which has reduced my need for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of keeping all my emails unread, I can add tasks into a project board.

Great for Scalability, but Initial Learning Curve for New Users

  • October 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a Marketing Manager juggling multiple campaigns, content calendars, and cross-departmental collaborations, Asana has become the central hub that keeps everything on track. After years of using various project management tools, I can confidently say that Asana strikes the ideal balance between structure and flexibility, empowering both strategic planning and daily execution.

Asana’s project templates and timeline views are invaluable for marketing campaigns. I can map out every phase—from creative concepting and content creation to launch and reporting—within a single workspace. Dependencies make it easy to visualize how a single delay affects the overall timeline, ensuring no step is overlooked. The ability to toggle between List, Board, Timeline, and Calendar views allows me to plan strategically while my team manages their individual tasks in whichever format suits them best.

The My Tasks dashboard is my daily command center. It provides a clear breakdown of what's due today, what's upcoming, and what's waiting on others. I love that recurring tasks automatically populate (like weekly reporting or social post scheduling), which keeps routine workflows seamless. Custom fields also help us track campaign stages, asset types, and content approvals—no more guessing where things stand.

What sets Asana apart is how it eliminates endless email threads and chat clutter. Each task becomes its own micro-workspace with assigned owners, subtasks, comments, and attachments. Tagging team members keeps communication contextual, while integrations with tools like Slack, Google Drive, and Adobe Creative Cloud make collaboration effortless. I can review a design, give feedback, and move the task to the next stage all within Asana—no back-and-forth needed.

As a manager, I rely heavily on Dashboards and Reporting to monitor campaign health. The ability to create custom charts showing progress, workload, and deadlines helps me keep leadership informed without manually compiling data. The workload view has also been a game changer for resource allocation—it’s easy to see who’s overloaded and redistribute tasks before burnout sets in.

Asana isn’t just a project management tool—it’s the backbone of my marketing operations. It provides visibility across teams, accountability for every task, and the flexibility to adapt as priorities shift. Whether I’m coordinating a nationwide campaign or managing day-to-day creative requests, Asana ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
For new users, Asana’s feature set can feel a bit overwhelming. However, once the structure is established, especially with thoughtful naming conventions and templates, it becomes intuitive and highly scalable. The mobile app is excellent for on-the-go updates and quick check-ins during meetings or site visits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has transformed the way directors review and manage marketing initiatives by streamlining collaboration and time management in one centralized platform. Instead of chasing email threads or scattered feedback, directors can review campaign assets, comment directly on tasks, and approve deliverables in real time, keeping communication clear and documented. This transparency eliminates bottlenecks and ensures every stakeholder stays aligned on priorities and deadlines. By visualizing workloads, setting dependencies, and automating reminders, Asana helps my directors allocate resources efficiently and maintain momentum across multiple projects.

Asana: Powerful, Intuitive, and Integrative—But May Be Pricey and Complex for Some

  • October 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana stands out as an exceptional work management platform for three compelling reasons. First, its intuitive and adaptable interface—featuring boards, lists, and timelines—enables teams to seamlessly manage tasks ranging from simple to-do lists to complex multi-stage projects. Second, it brings clarity and accountability to collaboration by clearly assigning task ownership, deadlines, and objectives, ensuring all members stay aligned and focused. Finally, its ability to integrate with widely used tools such as Slack, Google Drive, and Microsoft Teams creates a unified workflow, reducing context switching and information silos. Together, these features help teams transform chaotic workflows into structured, transparent, and efficient processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
While some users may find its pricing model less accessible for small teams or individual users, Asana's advanced features and automation capabilities are primarily available in its paid tiers. Additionally, individuals or teams accustomed to simpler to-do list applications might perceive its extensive functionality as overly complex for basic task management needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana effectively solves the problem of task and project disorganization by providing a centralized platform that clarifies responsibilities, timelines, and objectives. This brings clear benefits: it eliminates confusion over ownership, reduces time wasted on status updates, and ensures everyone is aligned, ultimately accelerating project completion and reducing team stress.

What do you dislike about the product?
Initial steep learning curve, a lot of notifications if not managed well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps in task management, collaboration and task assigning in a large team.

Makes Team Organization Simple

  • October 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Asana keeps all my stuffs organize. It’s super easy to see who doing what and what’s left. The layout looks clean and simple to understand even if you not that tech savy. I like how I can add deadlines, subtasks and small notes all together. It honestly help me and my team stay on same page without so much confusion or messages everywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels kinda heavy, like too much things on screen and I get lost. The notifcations comes too often and gets little annoying. Also few things takes extra clicks to do which feels waste of time. It’s overall really good but ya, bit too much sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep all my work in one place instead of random notes or messages everywhere. Before using it, I used to forget tasks or mix up deadlines all the time. Now I can see what’s due, who’s doing what, and what’s already done. It also helps my team work together without needing to message each other for every small thing. Everyone just updates their tasks and we all stay in sync. It really saves time and keeps me more focus and less stressed about forgetting something important.

Asana: Flexible and Visual, but Steep Learning Curve and Pricey Upgrades

  • October 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Asana is how visual and flexible it is. I love that I can switch between a simple list, a Kanban board, or even a timeline view for the same project. It lets everyone work the way they want without messing things up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana can be a bit much when you're just starting out. There are so many features that it's easy for new users to get lost and for projects to become a total mess if you don't set some ground rules. My biggest gripe is that some of the most useful features, like good reporting tools, are locked behind the pricey business plans. It feels like you hit a paywall pretty quickly once your team starts to grow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Asana solves is keeping us organized and giving everyone a clear view of what the whole team is working on. Before, tasks would get dropped, and nobody really knew who was responsible for what. Now, everything has a place, an owner, and a deadline, which has been a game-changer for just getting organized. The best part is having a single place to see all the team's tasks. It helps us balance workloads and makes it super easy to see the progress on our big projects without having to constantly ask for updates. We're spending way less time figuring out who's doing what and more time actually getting stuff done.

Great tool for Cross-Team Communication, Needs More Templates and Integrations

  • October 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This tool is excellent for enabling multiple stakeholders to communicate effectively about business requirements and needs like Product Managers, Product Owners, Customer Success teams and Engineering Managers. It also allows for tracking progress in a holistic manner for all side of the equation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if there were more templates for progress tracking, as this would allow the tool to better accommodate various types of visions. Additionally, having an integration with Slack or JIRA would be a valuable improvement, making it easier to connect engineering tickets directly with customer projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping my teams better visualize our customers' needs and the associated deadlines for completing them. With a comprehensive view of all customer requirements, we are also able to update customers directly as soon as we complete certain tickets and asking additional questions if we need clarifications on certain points.
