What do you like best about the product?
Asana's Project and Task Management tools are wonderful.
What do you dislike about the product?
In Projects, not able to add the date as a custom field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps to update team members or collaborators about task/project updates or status changes. Asana's Project Management tool helped our organizations to meet our project deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before rolling out or going live, refer to the user guide and set up the teams and projects properly.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the calendar view in Asana tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many notifications and the view can be cumbersome.

Asana helps multiple people see a project status at any time.

What do you like best about the product?
UI is great,

The workload view for capacity planning is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bugs in reporting, and dependencies aren't functional. Sub Tasks aren't functional
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can fit more work in, everyone is more aligned.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly and visual Asana is, as well as its customization capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the reporting and dashboard capabilities were a bit more robust and flexible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company is using Asana to track Customer onboarding progress. With is we are able to see the status of all new customer setup progress in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely take some time to explore Asana's support videos and documents so that you can make sure you are taking advantage of all of its capabilities! Also, the more that you can get others on your team to contribute, the more benefits of Asana you will realize.

Flexible Project Management

What do you like best about the product?
There are no rules on how to use Asana. Your team or organization can decide what features and settings make the most sense for you. Other project management systems I've worked with have been more rigid.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain features are limited to higher payment tiers, or require the use of 3rd party integrations in order to achieve. For example, shifting all the tasks in a project at once when a deadline changes isn't possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we use Asana in several departments to manage workloads and improve team communication. Asana helps us document our workflow, which improves client reporting and makes it easy for us to reference past projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana works best when you can have a member on your team be an advocate for the platform. Don't try to force Asana on your organization, get people to buy into using it, and set standards and practices based on community feedback. For a small or medium organization, sometimes this can mean starting with just 1 department adopting it. Don't expect, or enforce every department to use Asana in the exact same way. Different teams should customize their workflows to what works best for them.

Well-rounded task manager

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best is the ability to create and assign tasks to other people. If something needs to be done, I can create the task and assign it to the appropriate person that I know can get it done quickly instead of asking around. The fun animations when I complete a task gives me a small rush of much-needed endorphins too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more animations when yo complete a task. I also don't like how hard it is to find a completed task. Maybe I'm not utilizing or viewing it correctly, but finding old tasks seems to be hard for me, and I'm a certified Ambassador.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My boss is able to schedule stuff out a few months for me so I can see deadlines as far out as he has planned. We're solving the problem of "who's going to work on this forsure today" by letting someone claim the task when they have time for it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a collaboration tool for project management, this is probably it.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a powerful tool. The list is great to follow and the guides are easy. The community really makes the experience better than others. The layout and ease of use is of of its key points.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of Asana include the pricing. The leading competitor has a better price point for all the tools they have to offer. We wish there was an opportunity to double assign a task. It helps keep everyone accountable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana enables the business to systemize and organize our workflows. It has helped us become more efficient and a place to house all our content and SOPS. We started using basecamp.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very useful to follow the guides and tips and tricks provided by Asana and the community. Saves a lot of time and easier to organize.

Favorite project management tool!

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a simple and intuitive task management tool for teams. It allows us to create projects, add tasks and invite team members to collaborate on them. There are mobile apps available for both Android and iOS devices so you can easily access your tasks from anywhere. The ability to add attachments such as PDF files or images makes it easy to collaborate with others on projects that require more than just text.
What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot prioritize tasks within projects (right now they all appear at the top of each project). This feature could have made it easier to see what needs your attention most urgently when looking at a project overall - right now there is no clear way of doing this beyond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration - You can add anyone from your team to projects, assign tasks to them, and share information such as documents, files, and images. Integrations - The integrations with other apps make it possible to automatically do certain things.

Pretty Good Team Project Management Tool

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite features are the ability to track each project independently and assign roles to each team member based on project scope. I also love the calendar feature that the team has access to, keeps everyone accountable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to add/delete team members based on project milestones or completion. Once a person's role in a project is finished, then it would be nice to remove that person from the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows project teams that are working in different locations and time zones to stay coordinated. Each person sees the same info and updates at the same time in the same place. No more spreadsheets being passed around, lost emails. etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend using this tool to companies who have multiple projects and teams that are located in different places.
