Asana as business management platform
What do you like best about the product?
This is an excellent system for managing multiple projects online at the same time. I am happy with the simple interface and the fact that a version for mobile phones is available, and this is just super, you can work without being at home. There are all the necessary tools for comfortable work. In general, there are a lot of different possibilities, which makes this system better than others. Of course, the main advantage of this tool is the free version, which is quite enough for small companies. It is convenient to organize work in a team with its help, while the interface is straightforward and convenient, and you can customize it for yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
No Russian localization. Sometimes it starts to work slowly for no reason, there are no project templates, and does not work without the Internet. It is impossible to use on a long journey due to the loss of communication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have a very large team, but every person in it is a professional. The company I work for is engaged in advertising, we use Asana, a modern tool for comfortable online project management. Without this tool, I would not have been able to solve problems and lead a team effectively. The main plus is, of course, simplicity, which is why I recommend the application to everyone.

Please, consider that pricing is more beneficial with US dollars rather than other currencies.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is one of my favorite task management software because it is very easy to use. I am sure every user can handle it. It allows me to create folders and collaborate with team members

When using asana on the computer as well as on the phone, I did not notice any drawbacks

When working in the office / as well as remotely I need to access the project with a few clicks asana makes it very easy for me to monitor the project and view comments

Best Free Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Asana, apart from being extremely user-friendly, offers the best, free, out-of-box project management solution. Asana's free solution has everything you need to stand up multiple projects and teams across your internal organization as well as out of your organization. And, recently, Asana released a native desktop app, making team collaboration more effective and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana has minimal customization options for setting up your projects. For example, you cannot customize your project dashboard to reflect the client's logos, colors, etc. Instead, you are left to choose between a handful of miscellaneous widgets that do not reflect the project; when dealing with multiple projects, this can get very confusing. In addition, building timelines can get very complicated, especially when there are multiple subtasks within a task/project; you cannot timeline your subtasks which in turn challenges you to set up the project correctly from the beginning. Further, since our company is so engrained in using Slack as our primary tool for internal communication, we often go off Asana to chat about relevant tasks, projects, etc.; I wish Asana's project manager has a native chat feature similar to Slack. Lastly, Asana lacks native time tracking, which is a huge negative to this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company uses Asana for multiple capacities. First, to self-manage your workflow. Second, measure the weight of workload on each employee across the organization. Thirdly, manage various projects and tasks across multiple teams both in and outside of your organization. And lastly, we often choose to use Asana to co-collaborate with our clients.
Asana is easy to use and keeps my project organized
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it easy to assign tasks to team members and mark items as 'done' to stay on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many differences for the basic versus premium accounts, at least for a smaller organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana, I can keep track of multiple projects, with several tasks in each, all on one platform.
Great for Marketing Teams and Project Managers
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is simple yet robust. I say that because there are endless opportunities for custom-built projects, timelines, business plans, whatever it is Asana will likely enable you with the ability to do so. As a Marketing Project Manager, I can say that whether our Marketing team is working on a new video, a custom campaign, a blog series, webdesign updates, etc. Asana provides the necessary filters and features to effectively manage each project to the end.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is still so much I have to learn, I mean, I did say it was robust. I would love access to more visual how-to guides or customer support articles to truly master Asana. Although, to my own fault, I have yet to truly take the time and effort to research the platforms' full capabilities. With that being said, it goes to show that even with moderate knowledge and experience in the Asana platform I am able to project manage pretty effectively. Another negative is that subtasks should have more filters and features, dependencies and things like that are great, but specific priority tags, percent complete, filters like they have for projects would be great to have for subtasks as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps everyone on our team aligned, and helps me, as a PM organize what projects are going on within our creative, demand gen and video departments.

The hierarchy it have to organise all the projects by tasks and subtasks and the calendar to relation the task with dates

At first it can be a little difficult to know all the potential of the tool

What do you like best about the product?
It's the perfect tool for collaborative projects, all the team can be aware of the final goal and steps to get to it, as well as responsibilities assigned to each member. Also by having due times, everybody can organize and be on time

it would be nice to copy subtasks to use them as main tasks later or add them to a different parent task

it definitely improves time management and gives clarity to the whole process.

Best tool to organise your work
What do you like best about the product?
Interface and UX were excellent. Easy to organize tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana lacks an inbuilt time tracker, which I usually used to depend on plugins.

I used Asana for project management. I can efficiently distribute works among multiple persons and easy to manage.

We utilize Asana the most with our projects. Specifically with our summer projects, it helps keep tabs on where we are and ones we complete etc...

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the structure/user interface of Asana. It feels clean and organized, without being overwhelming.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I truly dislike about Asana. I've had a good experience with it over the years!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped me organize teams for events. I was able to set it up and make sure everyone knew what they needed to do and what their deadlines were. Questions and comments helped us stay focused in one space and solve problems together quickly. I've used Asana to work on planning a retreat for a client, managing general projects, organizing marketing plans and deadlines, and more. It's a really fantastic tool for a variety of purposes!

Help Asana help you! Be thorough and detailed when you set up your organization and task lists. Don't forget to assign users and deadlines to each project!
